Joya Innocence

Joya goes home using an angkot and gets off at a crossroads. Then walk from the crossroads to the house. After walking for almost 10 minutes, he finally arrived at the front of the house. Joya opened the fence with a hand carrying a plastic bag underneath.

As soon as Joya opened the door, Irwan was seen standing behind the door in his neat clothes. " You want to go ?

"Finally you're home," said Irwan without answering his wife's question.

Joya frowned, "you want to look for me?"

" Of course. It's late, I thought you lost," he replied.

Joya walked past Irwan. Her lips smiled at her husband's answer. "The distance from the front of the house is quite far. So I just arrived."

Joya kept her luggage on the table, then sat on the sofa.

"You walk?" asked Irwin. Joy nodded. Irwan's jaw clenches." Why not take a taxi?"

Joya smiled dryly. I only have this much money left," said Joya while showing a green sheet of money. "Earlier I had to print a cover letter and go to several places. So, the money runs out," explained Joya.

Ivan's gaze dimmed. His face turned sad. Joya pulled her husband's hand to sit beside him. "Don't worry, I've got a job. I will work as a secretary at Lung Corp. I will earn a lot of money." Said Joy in a cheerful tone.

Instead of being happy, Irwan lowered his gaze. He looked at his wife times.

Joyce winced." Why? Aren't you happy I got a job?"

Irwan shifted the table, then sat at Joya's feet. He grabbed his wife's leg." I'm glad you got a job. But tomorrow, you go home by taxi. The distance from the front to here is far. See! Your feet are scratched."

Joya was stunned, did not expect that Irwan would notice the wound on his leg. Joya pulled her leg, she was embarrassed that Irwan touched her feet which either smelled or not. "It's a small wound."

Irwan sighed, he got up and took the ointment from the medicine box. Then, he sat back down on the floor." No matter how small the wound, it still hurts."

Irwan applied ointment to his wife's wound. He even blew on it. Joya was touched by Irwan's concern. The shame is gone. Joya doesn't care if Irwan smells her feet. Joya only focused on her husband's handsome face.

"You applied at just one company?" asked Irwan, waking Joya from her reverie.

" Not. I went to several companies, but they did not accept me. I was even kicked out because I was thought to be asking for donations," answered Joya, laughing.

Irwan did not show any expression. Her face still looks flat." Then how did you get to Lung Corp?"

Joya knit her eyebrows remembering the incident that happened to her. "Actually, I was hesitant to apply there. Even small companies reject me, let alone big companies like that. But, there is a good person who helps me, his name is Gio."

Irwan looked up and raised one eyebrow. "A man helped you just like that?"

Joya was stunned. Not thinking about it, Irwan will be angry because he is acquainted with men. "I also don't know why that man helped me. But I'm not going anywhere near him. I will only work there," said Joya trying to convince her husband.

"Don't trust people too much. You have to be more careful. Don't easily get acquainted with foreigners, "said Irwan.

Joya nodded. "Yes, I understand," he said. "Eh! But there was someone who looked just like you. It's a little similar," said Joya while remembering the face of the man she met.

Irwan again applied ointment to Joya's wound. " Do you like it?"

Joya frowned. " You mean?"

"A man who looks like me. You seem to like him?" Irwan explained without taking his eyes off his wife's feet.

Joya glared. " Haphazard! Seen from any side. You are still more handsome than that guy."

Irwan looked up again. I am handsome?"

"Yes, you tam-." Joy immediately covered her mouth. His face felt hot as he realized the words that left his mouth. 'Shameful!' he thought.

Nothing to be ashamed of. There's nothing wrong with praising your husband. You are also beautiful, especially with a blush on your face," Irwan said, smiling.

Blush!! Joey's face got hotter. Joya cleared her throat trying to neutralize her feelings. His heart fluttered wildly when Irwan praised him. " How about you? Have you got a job?" asked Joya, changing the subject.

Irwan shook his head. Then he returned to sit beside Joya. "I find it too difficult to divide my time," he explained.

Joya frowned. Did not understand the words of her husband. What should Irwan divide his time with? Isn't he unemployed?

" You have eaten?" asked Irwan.

Joya shook her head. " you?" It was Irwan's turn to shake his head. Joya smiled. " I'm grateful! I bought packaged rice earlier.'

Joya grabbed the plastic wrap off the table." Let's eat!" asked Joya while guiding her husband's hand.

Dusk. Joya unpacks her suitcase. He wanted to prepare clothes for his first day at work. Joya looked sadly at all her faded clothes. "Tomorrow I should wear which clothes?"

Joya regretted not bringing Windy's used clothes with her.

Check!

Ivan opened the door. What are you doing?" he asked.

Joya turned. "I want to prepare clothes for tomorrow. But I'm confused."

Irwan looked at Joya's clothes. " Get ready! We're shopping."

Joya frowned. " Shopping?"

Irwan nodded." You couldn't possibly be working in that outfit, could you? Get ready! I'll wait outside," he said as he left the room.

Joya raised her eyebrows. "Does he have money?" he muttered.

Fifteen minutes later. Joy came out of the room. Irwan was seen on the phone in front of the house. Joya also approached him.

Irwan turned off his cell phone. " Ready?"

Joy nodded. " Come on! Let's go," Irwan guided Joya's hand.

They got into the taxi that Irwan had previously ordered. Irwan mentioned the name of a well-known mall. Along the way, Irwan kept busy with his cell phone. Joya wanted to ask where Irwan was taking her, but the man was too focused on the gadget in his hand. An hour later, they arrived at their destination.

Irwan put the cell phone into his trouser pocket. Then got out of the car and held out his hand. " Come on!"

Joya took Irwan's hand. Then they walked hand in hand into the mall. Because the location of the clothing store is on the third floor. They climbed the escalator. Irwan invited Joya to enter a fairly large clothing store.

"Don't come here, it's expensive. Do you have any money?" asked Joya.

" No need to worry. You just take the clothes you need," Irwan replied.

Joya hesitated to obey her husband's words. But, Irwan had already chosen clothes for him. Irwan took several skirts, blazers, cardigans, shirts, dresses and even some inner clothes that matched the cardigan he had chosen earlier.

"Is this enough? Looks like you also need some bags and shoes," he muttered as if talking to himself.

Joya brought her face closer to Irwan's ear." Irwan... This is already too much. How shall we pay for it?"

Irwin smiled. "The owner of this shop allows us to take whatever we like."

" Hah?" Joy stared. Do you know the owner of this shop?

Irwan nodded. "He's my friend. So, you don't need to worry," he replied. Joya froze in place. If you keep quiet, I'll take every bag and shoe I see. Regardless of size and color, "Irwan threatened.

Joya immediately ran to the line of bags and shoes. He didn't want Irwan to prove his threat. The shop owner could bankrupt if Irwan did that. Joya walked towards a pair of shoes that caught her eye. When Joya had taken the shoe, a hand grabbed it.

Joya turned her head, looking at the person who had taken her shoes.

"Windy?"
