A man dressed in all black prowls around you outskirts of your home. He enter through a window, and creeps around your house. As he enters you bedroom, he's met with your sleeping form. He wakes you up with a gun to the face, and demands all of your power stones. He sticks the gun to your temple and awaits your reply. Enjoy the chapter as always! For all of you that are wondering when he starts ranking up. That has already been written, and you'll see it soon.)

Two-year time skip - Syrin is 10 years old

In these years since the beast war, things have been relatively quiet. I've used this downtime to work out most of my plans. Around 200 earth mages have sworn loyalty to me, and every one of them has been taught the concrete spell. I've despatched them everywhere around my duchy, and all of them have been working on roads. The duchy is huge, so it's going to take a while until they finish everything how I want it. I'm still taking in any earth mages that are interested in swearing loyalty to me.

I've had a few mages that have tried to sell the spell to other country's, but each situation was easily taken care of by Souei. By 'taken care of' I mean that each person was killed, and their heads were put on display outside the gates of Sena. I have zero tolerance for traitors, especially when said traitor swore an oath to me on his or her life. Seeing the severed heads of their fellow earth mages kept the other mages in line. After a few more heads were shoved on pikes outside of my city, no earth mage dared to betray their oath again.

When my father heard about the roads that were being built, he asked for the concrete spell. I happily gave it to him with a few conditions. He could only give the spell to people that have sworn loyalty to him, and they have to be closely watched by the aerie. Pretty much the same thing that I've been doing. He easily agreed, saying that he would've done that either way. I've also told him about my ideas for using concrete for other things like buildings and bridges. He seemed very interested in the idea, so I showed him the schools I've had built.

Throughout each harvest that's gone by, the farmers have been getting more and more excited. Due to the selective breeding being implemented, the yield of each harvest has been steadily rising with each passing year. We still don't grow enough crops to support the expansion of animal farming though. That's going to take a lot of time, so hopefully, the farmers keep up the good work.

The Manual water pumps were a hit in every country they were sold to. My father decided to sell the blueprint to each country for a large price. While he was selling it to other country's, he and I were implementing the pumps into the kingdom. I had Dalir and some trusted smiths that have started working under him start mass-producing the pumps. This turned out to be harder than I thought it would be. I found the reason why my father sold the blueprints instead of the pumps themselves. My blacksmiths have been making every piece of the pump by hand this entire time, and the pace is slow, to say the least.

Seeing the horrible use of their time, I decided to throw some ideas there way. I know that the best way to mass-produce these pumps is to make molds and casts. This way all that you have to do is pour the metal into the molds/casts to make the pieces needed. Any novice blacksmith will then be able to easily make the parts for the pumps, and Dalir's time will no longer be wasted. When Dalir heard the idea for molds and casts, he was over the moon about it. He practically sprinted out of my study to get to work on it.

When the schools opened, they were a big success. The layout of each school was exactly like modern schools. Classrooms, lunchroom, offices, and an auditorium. I've also added in a gym for physical fitness classes. The children loved the breakfast and lunch served, and the parents loved that they could save food and money by sending their kids to school. Especially when their children are guaranteed two meals a day from the schools. When your a poor family in this world, two meals a day is very appealing. Even a lot of adults tried to enroll in the schools when they heard the promise of free food.

After the success of the schools in Sena, I started expanding to every settlement in the duchy. The schools have slowly been popping up all over the duchy, but I've started to run into a problem. We don't have enough teachers. This is a problem that I knew would creep up sooner or later, so In preparation I have started sending messages to the sons and daughters of wealthy merchants. These people are similar to the nobles I've hired, as they are the children that won't inherit anything. Although, they were taught the skills needed to be a merchant, and those skills are reading, writing, and math. I've received many letters from these people, and most of them have agreed.

The maids that have been learning from my old textbooks are starting to show some improvement. When the maids are ready to teach, I'm going to open a University for them to teach at. I won't integrate them into the existing schools, as the people in those schools simply aren't ready for anything this advanced. The maids will teach at the university until a time where a batch of students graduates. These students can be hired to take the place of the maid teachers. Should I say professors since its a university? Yeah, that sounds better. Of course, they can keep their jobs as professors if they would like to, but if they want to go back to being my maids then they can do that as well.

My order of knights that I sent out to eradicate the syndicate returned last year. According to them, everything was easy except this one town. The mayor of the town was in fact an imposter. The syndicate killed the real mayor and strong-armed the rest of the town into play along. When this was found out by the knights, they had to fight a couple high ranking people. Nothing too high since it was only a town, but it was the place that gave them the most resistance. Not even Staton, the other city in the Ephia Duchy caused them more trouble than this small town. When the knights returned to Sena triumphantly, I got a notification from the system.

{Achievement: You've contributed to a major achievement. The crime syndicate that infested the Ephia Duchy has been eradicated, and the host has played a major role in that. Due to you're contribution, the host will be awarded 10,000 SP. Spend wisely.}

It feels like it's my payday every time I get a big chunk of shop points. It reminds me of the feeling that I had when I got my first paycheck. Speaking of system points. Throughout these three years, I haven't stopped grinding SP for a single day.

'Hey, System. Show me my shop points.'

{Shop points(SP): 28,485 SP}

I wonder what I should spend all of my saved up SP on?
