58 C55 Beast War (End)

As of this chapter, the patreòn is 6 chapter ahead at chapter 60. I'll probably be writing and posting some more chapters for patrons today. Also there are 4 chapters of the Naruto story on the patreòn as well.

You awaken to a phone call, and answer the phone with a groggy hello. The man on the other side of the call informs you of the kidnapping of your most precious loved one. You are instructed to immediately transfer all power stones to the man, or something bad will happen to them. You're given a time limit of 3 minutes, and the man hangs up. You should probably get that man his stones, huh. Enjoy the chap as always!)

"What!?" Mia yells at the top of her lungs. The bear and the turtle look at me with disbelief and anger.

"Well, I was just informing you that your forces have already been decimated. There isn't even a thousand of them left altogether. Also, the lightning wolf is dead along with its pack." I inform them once again.

"That's impossible! You need to stop telling lies, child. First, you claim to be a crowned prince, yet where are your guards? That man that you say would fight us is in fact powerless, and now our forces are decimated. Do you seriously expect us to believe that?" The owl asks rhetorically. Mia and the bear nodded their heads in agreement with the owl.

"Yes, I do expect you to believe what I said, but it is a bit far fetched isn't it?" I voice out loud. "How about I help you and we make a bet?" I offer.

"How would you help usss, and what type of bet?" Mia replies.

"I would help you by taking you directly to the battlefield you are running to." I explain and they all just look at me with confusion. "Did you all forget that little trick Souei did when I asked for stuff from him?" I asked and a look of understanding graced their faces.

"What about thisss bet?" Mia asked.

"The bet is simple. If your forces are truly destroyed as I've explained. Then you three will agree to become servants of mine." I explain.

"And when you are proved to be a liar what do we get?" The owl replies.

"That won't happen, but if it does then Souei and I will become your servants." I say.

"Why would I need either of you asss a ssservant?" Mia asks.

"Souei has the ability to instantly go anywhere he's ever been before. Just that one ability of his could easily help you take over the continent." I explain.

"Yes, I can see that coming in handy on many occasions, but why would her excellency need someone as weak as you?" The owl asks.

"I'm a bit more complicated than Souei." I shrug my shoulders.

"How ssso?" Mia asks.

"I won't be explaining about myself unless the bet has concluded in my loss." I state.

"Fine, we accept the bet." Mia agreed faster than I thought she would. "Now, take us to the battlefield as quickly as possible!"

I guess she's more worried about her army than I thought she was. After a quick teleport, we appeared on the mountain above the foot soldiers that are defending the pass. Just as we appeared the last of the beast herd at the entrance were being slaughtered. A giant pool of blood formed near the entrance, and inside of it are the dead bodies of the beast herd. As the last beast died, I could see a small tear run down Mia's cheek. The owl turned away, not willing to see the slaughter of its people any further. The bear simply froze like a deer in the headlights. I don't think he knew what to do with himself.

Further behind the dead and rotting herd is an equally dead and rotting wolf pack. The elders have already cut the magic cores out of them and have thrown their carcasses to the side like a pile of garbage. This scene further saddened the trio of beasts.

"I'm sorry for your loss." I say, trying to be nice. They don't even look at me, as their eyes are glued to the scene before them.

"Why did it have to be like this?" Mia asks.

"Because humanity was taught a hard lesson about beast herds. One formed a while back and took out a whole kingdom. Apparently, they stampeded through the kingdom killing a lot of people and driving out the rest. Since that happened, every Kingdom is scared of it happening to them, so they slaughter the herd before it can grow to be a threat. You were simply unlucky to have encountered the herd in the first place." I explain.

"*Sigh* I guessss I wasssn't a good enough leader." Mia says as another tear rolls down her face.

"I'm sure you were a good leader. It took the entire army of the Fortis Kingdom to take down your herd. Never doubt yourself, Mia. If you don't believe in yourself then who will?" I say and gaze at the bloody mess below me.

"Your right Syrin, thanks." She says and smiles at me. I don't know why she's thanking me. I'm the next leader of the country that slaughtered her army after all.

"Your welcome. Now, I hope you're beasts of your word because you did make a bet with me." I say.

"Can't you have some tact!" The bear roared. "Our men and woman are dead! You take us to the gruesome scene of their demise, and dare to talk about some measly bet!"

"I told you that you wouldn't want to see this, didn't I? You called me a liar and a child if I recall correctly. Now, do you accept the terms of our bet or not?" I asked with a little more ferocity this time.

"How dare you..." the bear was about to start ranting, but Mia cut him off.

"We accepted the bet before and we accept the outcome now. I shouldn't have agreed so easily in the firssst place, but a bet isss a bet and I'm a sssnake of my word." Mia says.

"But, Your excellency. This human obviously tricked us in order to bring us into servitude." The owl says.

"How did I trick you?" I ask and nobody answered. "I told you the status of your troops. It was you who saw me as a child and didn't believe me. Why would I make a bet to serve you if I didn't already know I would win?"

"Sssyrin is right. It wasss I that wasss foolish in not believing him." Mia says.

"*Sigh* He may not have tricked us, but that doesn't mean we have to honor the bet." The bear muttered.

"We will all honor the bet!" The owl says as it slaps the bear with its wing.

"Fine, whatever." The bear says and turns its head away.

"What should we call you now that we're your ssservants?" Mia asks.

"You can call me Master, You Highness, Lord, etc." I say.

"We will call you Massster for now on. It will be an honor ssserving you, Massster Sssyrin." Mia says and bows to me. She can't kneel because she has no legs. The bear and owl follow her lead and bow their heads as well.

"It's nice to have you guys joining the family. Once again I just want to say that I'm sorry for your loss."
