We spent the rest of the morning hunting turtles. With me and Rem's teamwork, we hunted over two hundred turtles. I was surprised at how many we were running into. Do adventurers tend to leave these guys alone because of how troublesome they are? This is a maze so maybe they just take a different path if they spot a turtle. The population of these turtles must have been growing for a while now. By the time we made it to the end of the eleventh floor, it was lunchtime so we decided to call it a day.
Souei teleported us back to the palace, and I went straight to the baths. I hate being sweaty and dirty, especially after going to a dungeon. While in the bath, I checked how many system points I have in total now. What I saw did not disappoint.

I also moved up one rank which makes me rank 39 as a fighter and a mage. I can feel that I'm very close to rank 40 but that will have to wait until the next visit to the dungeon.
After getting clean and changing into some fresh clothes, I went back to the room to start devouring the spoils from today. On the way there, I ran into Aella and Ruby who looked to be on their way to the bathes. Damn, I missed the hentai protagonist moment where he walks in on the girls in the bath. Whatever, it's not like I'm a pervert or anything. I asked Aella if she wanted to eat dinner with me in the west wing and she agreed. We asked Ruby to come as well, but she turned it down. She said that she promised to eat with her mother today. After talking to them for a bit, we went our separate ways.
Back in the west wing, I had Souei guard the door. I can't have people walking in and seeing me turn into slime. They might think that I'm some sort of imposter that took Syrins place or something. It's just far too annoying to deal with, so I'll keep it a secret for now. Once the place was secure, I deposited all of the loot from this morning in a corner of the room.
The pile was huge because of the large amount of turtle meat and other parts. I'm just glad that the west wing is so big, or else there wouldn't be enough room for all these beast parts. I'll start with the smallest pile which is from the Sasquatch boss on the tenth floor. Activating the devour skill, my body turns into slime and pounces on the small pile of Sasquatch parts. After absorbing the parts into my slime body, a moment later I hear a system notification.

What the f*ck! I was just saying that I'm not a pervert and now the system gives me this. I can feel some growing pains in my groin area for a few moments. The pain wasn't too bad, thank god. I'm not mad about this development, but I certainly am confused. How could I be mad when every man's dream is to be well endowed. I was already a good size before this though. Whatever, I'm done with this stupid Sasquatch and his weird skill. He didn't even give me anything else.
Trying my best to ignore the cramped feeling in my pants, I turn to the giant pile of turtle parts. Activating the devour skill again, my body turns to slime, and I lung at the towering pile in front of me. My body stretches to cover the whole pile, as it disappears into my slime form. Once the pile is gone, my body forms again and I can hear the system notification going off again.

With the corner now completely empty, I activate the Turtle Shell Shield skill. A big turtle-shaped shield appears in front of me. With just a thought, the shell moves back and forth then up and down. Controlling the shield is smooth and easy. I'll have to test it's durability later on in the dungeon.
Next, I try to conjure an ice cube in my hand to test my new ice attribute. Slowly but surely a small cube of ice appears in my hand. I know that the ice is cold but the feeling of holding in my hand doesn't cause me discomfort at all. Also, the ice isn't melting from the warmth of my hands. With my test over, I dismiss the ice and it disappears from my hand.
After testing my powers, my stomach starts grumbling as I haven't eaten lunch yet. It's getting late, so I had a small lunch. When I was done eating, Souei gave me an update on Armad and the man in black. Armad left the palace earlier today and the man in black has been identified. He returned to a safe house and took off his mask. Let's just say he isn't a pretty sight to behold. Scarred and burned is all I have to say. He somehow looks like an even uglier version of Deadpool. Now, we just have to figure out who this guy is working for. I'm sure he'll have to contact someone soon enough and that's when we'll find out.
