23 The favor I want

Justin turned his gaze to the poster in his hands and to Shaun, who's busy posting one on the bulletin board. The school prince told him to follow him around until he finished all of his duties. Since Justin wanted to return the favor, he didn't protest.

But is this really what Shaun wants? Justin really doesn't mind it, but holding the papers for the rest of the time is a little guilty for him. He wanted to at least make himself useful. They have a very big gap and it's very impossible for the school prince to give such attention to someone who's ordinary from their school. He's a popular gamer and the girls are all flocking around him.

Justin lowered his head and squeezed the posters in his arms. His cheeks turned pink, couldn't believe that Shaun would waste such time on him.

"Ey, what's your name?"

The meek male jolted and lifted his head. "J-Justin! Justin Adley, from class 2-1!" he bowed his head.

"pfftt.." Shaun scoffed and covered his lips. "Why are you talking so formally?" He smiled and brushed the male's hair. "I am Shaun Barton, you can just call me Shaun" he said after gathering all the left posters. "Follow me,"

The two strides the stairs up to the third floor until they reach the glass door. Shaun pushed it and let Justin enter first. "Yow, I'm back"

Lilith, William and Liechael looked at Shaun with puzzled faces as he went back to his seat earlier near the table. He's still being followed by Justin, who's now super red.

'What am I doing here?' Justin couldn't contain the nervousness and excitement he's been feeling. The young master and the student council vice president and the school Idol are all here with him in one room. He gulped the saliva in his throat and fidgeted with his fingers in silence.

To save that awkward atmosphere, Lilith cleared her throat. "What's your name?"

Justin raised his head and looked at her. "Justin Adley, from class 2-1" he bowed his head again. His body felt a little stiff when Lilith looked at him. He's not used to that kind of stare.

This time, Liechael paused from typing something on his laptop and looked at Justin with his expressionless eyes. Then he looked at Shaun. "What's his business here?" he asked.

Shaun stood up and smiled at Liechael. "He will be joining the art class," he dashed to Justin and smacked his back. "Welcome to the art class!! Here is Chael, he's in charge of-the-art class.." he pushed the male closer to Liechael's desk. "Please take care of Justin Adley,"

"Ehhh??!!!!" Lilith, William and Justin exclaimed in unison.

"W-Wait! Wait!" Justin backed away after snapping himself from the reality he's facing. "I don't know anything about this!!! This is so sudden!!" he waved his hands in the air and blinked his eyes.

Liechael didn't mind his slight gestures. He went back to the desk and picked a piece of paper and pen. "Please fill up the registration form,"

Dumbfounded, the meek male took it and alternatively looked at him and to Shaun.

Shaun gave him a thumbs up. Then a book landed on his head. "You dumbass, did you threaten this kid to join the art class?!" Lilith yelled with her glaring eyes.

"Ow!" Shaun winced while rubbing his greyish hair. "Why hit me with that thick physics book?!" he snorted, picking the book from the floor. He placed it back on the desk. "I didn't threaten him. He said he'd do me a favor, so I brought him here," he explained.

Then Justin remembered the favor he said earlier. So it means that Shaun wanted him to join the art class. But why, though? Did the guy see through him that he likes art? He'd never tell anyone about this except Alaena, Aiden, and Amy.

Lilith approached Justin and made him sit on one of the desks. "Do you have any experience in the arts? Have you tried drawing and painting before? How about sketching?" she asked.

Justin held the pen and tried to open his lips. "I-I know h-how to sketch," he replied.

A half smile stretched Lilith's cheeks. "Then it's good. Fill up the form and welcome to the art class."

This small greeting from the student council made Justin's heart flutter with happiness. It's still new to him, but he's feeling very welcome to this group of officers. He can't believe that the young master of the Ross Clan will be this calm and considerate of him.

"T-Thank you,"

As far as he remembered, Alaena was also a part of-the-art class, but the girl never mentioned to them about this recruitment. Did Alaena know about all of this? Or she kept it a secret because she didn't want to encounter Liechael Ross?

Justin fills up the form and submits it quietly at the front desk. He stayed there and waited for Liechael's reply. He's still nervous and didn't know what to do. Though he had no clubs and never experienced participating in these kinds of activities. He tried to join, but since he's just an ordinary student, all of his registration forms got denied.

Justin clenched his jaw and tried to make a small gasp. Something heavy in his chest wanted to burst out. He knew that this action was a little childish, but he couldn't stop himself from being touched by this comforting atmosphere and people surrounding him.

Liechael stamped a red round seal on the edge of his registration form and, from the desk drawers, he picked up a pin that had the design of a canvas and paintbrush. He handed it to Justin and said, "Welcome to the art class. I will be looking forward to working with you. I am Liechael Ross, the new manager of-the-art class." He said.

Justin's eyes elated, and he almost got teary while observing the pin on his palm. He's very happy that he almost turned speechless in a minute before saying his thanks.

For the very first time, he felt accepted.
