Words Don't Matter, Skylar

After a long agonizing hour of endless tears and attempts at trying to make sense of Jordan's words, I finally stepped out of the shower. Wrapping a towel around my body, I made my way towards the door and stood there, frozen, with my hand on the knob, gathering myself before I opened the door and came face to face with Jordan again

I took a shaky breath in through my mouth and exhaled before twisting the doorknob and stepping out of the bathroom.

But instead of finding Jordan in front of me, I saw that the bed had been made once again with fresh dry covers spread on it and that there was a piece of paper resting neatly on the table near the bed.

But no Jordan.

He wasn't there.

I reached for the piece of paper and read the words written in Jordan's handwriting.

It's late. The restaurants around this area are closed. I'll be back soon with some food.
