122 When The Other Shoe Dropped

(JORDAN)

Rose sighed in awe, her eyes reflecting the glittering lights of the Eiffel Tower, a smile rested on her face as she gazed at it intently. Even in the midst of all the chaos that had uprooted our blissful relationship, the past few hours had been like a slate wiped clean.

We had spent the entire day roaming about the city, checking off as many destinations as we could on Rose's list of places to visit. She actually had a list that she had made a note of in her phone. And now that the day was close to an end, I had brought her on a private cruise in the Seine. We ate dinner under the stars on the boat with an exclusive view of the Eiffel Tower and now we stood side by side, her gazing at one of the wonders of the world, and me watching her— the only wonder in my world.

"This is so beautiful!" She smiled, looking around at the city in front of her. The city lights were being reflected in the water below us.
