"A what?" I stared at Alec with my jaw halfway to the floor.
"You heard me." Alec sauntered out of the elevator and I followed him.
A bodyguard? No way. No can do.
"And, Sky, please don't argue with him on that. He's just doing this to keep you safe," said Alec.
"You know what? I'm not even going to get into this right now." I looked outside the glass doors of the building's front gate and saw Jeremy walk in. "Okay, can you just stay right here while I talk to my boss? Or does that go against your orders?" I asked tersely.
Alec snorted a laugh. "So long as you remain—"
"In front of your eyes." I rolled my eyes hard. "Yeah, got it. I'll be right back."
I walked over to Jeremy who was standing by the reception desk.
"Hey, Sky," Jeremy smiled upon seeing him approach him.
"Hey. Uh, do you have it?" I straight away jumped to the point.
