Angel Ark
"There, there and there! All done!"
Dr. Rooney and the heroes gazed upon the giant Angel Ark. The engines, and the blimp started functioning. The Angel Ark looked like a pirate ship with a blimp attached to it. The heroes had already packed up their bags, as they were going to head to the Maze of Minos, on the other side of the Land of Dawn.
"Will you come join us too Rooney?" Yi asked.
"I don't know." he replied. "Then who's gonna stay in the lab?"
"Well we have guards, so..."
"So it's not safe. We can't leave them alone here Yi!"
"Okay."
"But don't worry, take this."
Rooney handed a small aircraft to Yi. It had two metal wings, and a voice recorder.
"This is Beta Reborn 3000, I will keep in touch with you guys through this drone."
"Well, keep safe here okay? We don't want Selena's army raiding this lab don't we?"
"Don't worry about me! I'll be fine!"
Everyone started to board the airship. Claude and Granger helped Alucard carry his motorcycle to the airship. The rest just loaded their bags in. They were excited to fly the Angel Ark for the first time.
"Sayonara, heroes! May the gods of the Land of Dawn bless your journey!" Rooney waved.
The Angel Ark took flight towards south, slowly ascending to sky. Ruby was looking down in the post-apocalyptic city. The streets were empty and the city fell silent.
"Eruditio, we'll come back for you." Ruby said
After a few hours, they had left the city, and soared up into the wasteland. The sun was setting in their direction. They were so high up in the air, they could touch the clouds. Clint and Layla were having a moment, standing in front of the Angel Ark watching the beautiful sun.
"Beautiful, isn't it?" Clint asked.
"It is." Layla replied.
Clint's arms were wrapped around Layla's neck, as they were holding hands. Meanwhile Alucard, Granger and Harith were playing chess down in the deck of the ship.
"Check! One wrong move you do, and you'll lose!" Harith said.
Alucard used his bishop unit, and killed Harith's rook. Harith's king was cornered, unable to make a move.
"Checkmate! That was your wrong move Harith." Alucard laughed.
"What?! I always lose to you!"
"Alucard wins again." Granger said. "It's my turn now."
"Damn it!"
On the side of the ship. Lesley was quietly sitting on the edge, alone. She was holding her rifle tight as tears dropped in her eyes.
