Alice Garcia withdrew the agreement and said, "I won't sign it, and I won't give you the money either."

Carl Edwards' parents became anxious and quickly signed their names on the documents, which Alice Garcia then demanded their fingerprints on. After all three agreements were signed, Alice Garcia handed them a three million dollar check.

"We're still three million short," Carl Edwards' sister asked urgently.

Alice Garcia pointed to the fourth agreement, "Come back for the money after Carl Edwards signs it in prison."

Carl Edwards' parents had no choice but to comply.

After the Edwards family left, Alice Garcia sat in her seat, sweating profusely. She remembered when she was a child and saw her classmates eating fried chicken at KFC. She wanted to eat it too and begged her mother to buy some, but her mother scolded her and said they didn't have the money.

In a moment of foolishness, she snuck into the restaurant and gnawed on leftover bones when her mother wasn't looking. Her classmates saw her and she felt overwhelming shame. Her mother dragged her out of KFC by the ear.

That feeling of poverty and having nothing ate away at her soul, and she vowed to become rich in the future.

Later, she moved in with Jane and slowly became wealthy. It wasn't easy, and she couldn't lose it all now.

"We're home," Elizabeth's voice snapped her out of her thoughts. She looked up at her and said, "Good."

On the way home, Elizabeth suddenly said, "I asked around, and Jane went to see Carl Edwards at the prison today. They had a big argument."

Alice Garcia thought for a moment and said, "If Carl Edwards really wanted to sell me out, he wouldn't have argued with Jane..."

Elizabeth nodded. "Also, with Carl Edwards' parents' intelligence level, they wouldn't have thought to come after you."

Alice Garcia remembered the things Jane had said to Elizabeth in her office and glared at her in anger. "Are you saying that this was all Jane's plan?"

Elizabeth smiled, "I'm just guessing."

But it was actually true.

Alice Garcia's face twisted with anger. Six million yuan was not a small sum of money, and giving it to Carl Edwards' family for no reason was like cutting her heart out.

"Jane, you are damned, so damned." She cursed in frustration.

The car stopped in front of Jane's villa, and Elizabeth looked at Alice Garcia, "Get yourself together."

Alice Garcia patted her own face, "I know."

They entered the house, which was quiet with no sound. They asked a servant and found out that Aunt Xia's daughter had come to S City and would be entertained tonight. Jane had taken Aunt Xia and Jack to a restaurant for dinner.

Alice Garcia waved her hand when she heard this, "Then all of you can rest in your rooms."

After all the servants had left, she took out a small glass bottle from her bag and opened the fridge. She poured the liquid in the glass bottle evenly into the rock sugar.

"Mom, don't drink the rock sugar and snow pear soup that Aunt Xia and Jack have made." After finishing, she came to Elizabeth's side and reminded her.

Elizabeth was elegantly drinking tea and smiled at the words, "I know."

The two smiled at each other, exuding a calm and confident aura as if they were waiting patiently for the flowers to bloom.
