After her bath, Hua Yan had a meal that wasn't quite lunch and, just like yesterday, she lounged in a deck chair to soak up the sun.
Caiqing chuckled beside her and asked, "Crown Princess Consort, do you want to sleep?"
Hua Yan shook her head, "No more sleep, I've slept too much. Read to me instead!"
With a crisp reply, Caiqing took out the storybook from yesterday that they hadn't finished and began to read to Hua Yan.
She had barely been reading for the time it took to drink two cups of tea when Hua Yan suddenly felt that the airflow within the temporary palace wasn't right. She immediately grabbed Caiqing's hand and whispered, "Someone has breached the palace."
Caiqing was startled and hastily stopped reading to listen closely, but hearing nothing, she looked at Hua Yan.
Hua Yan confidently stated, "People are coming, a large group, but their skill in concealment is impressive."
