Chapter 1.
"Esther, everyone believes that you killed Luc" Andy shouted over the girl who was sitting on the floar, reflecting on what she just heard on the television news, "Esther, are you even listening?" Andy was demanding some explanation, yes Esther was her best friend, she had to trust that she can't kill a person but again, what was she hearing. Esther stood up and run upstairs shouting" my phone, where is my phone". Andy run after her trying to stop her but this Esther girl wasn't listening. "Luc, can't die. no he is not dead" Esther would murmur every now and then, she wasn't feeling her arms or her legs, so she fainted before she be able to open her bedroom door.
"Esther Esther Esther" she heard voices calling her name while having trouble to open her eyes. "Can you hear me, Esther" Andy kept calling and finally she opened her eyes widely. "Why are we here? what! what happened to Luc?" Esther was still in chock. "That's what I want to ask you. the police is here" Andy whispered to her. "What did I do? nothing, I don't remember killing him" Esther kept shouting but with the look in Andy's eyes, She can tell, no one is going to trust her.
Estherra Divan, a movie celebrity and a daughter of a billionaire Emmanuel Divan, she has been dating Luc Gustavo, a producer of her first movie "Low-key " and her current manager. the two have been together for two years and their love life was known throughout the Media, it was two weeks before their Engagement when the news break out that the couple is having some arguments and later on, the Investigation office found unidentified body in Esther's house in response to the missing of Producer Luc in industry, it was whispered to be his body and the young lady was the number one to suspect.
Mr Mark Donavan, the police detective in charge, stared at Esther after reading the whole case to her, "do you have anything to deny here?" He asked. "but sir, why exactly should I kill the man who was to marry me in two weeks?" Esther tried to stood for herself, but she knew she can't escape the fact that the body was in her house. Mark stared in her eyes, she looked so innocent. "now, make me understand how he was in your room" He replied. "that... well I can't answer that, I don't remember anything"She seemed sincere. "young lady, I really want to help, I am your fan, but give me a good reason to be on your side" Mark said, "Sir, I really can't remember anything" She held her face within her hands. she was terrified, she knew in her heart that she has never killed anybody but how can she save herself. "Sir, I need sometime, something is not right here. please spare me sometime, I might help finding answers to those questions" She said confidently. Mark after studying her face , "Okay, I will request a release warrant during the investigation, but it will not exceed two weeks" he said. "that would be more than enough". she smiled a little. "in those two weeks, you are not allowed to get out of the country nor going on with your career" He added. "okay sir, am all in for this" she replied,
Mr Mike went out and Andy entered, "Esther, speak to me, what exactly is going on?" She begged. "I don't really know "She wept tears that fell out on her cheeks. "I need to go home. I need some time alone" Esther said, "come on Esther, "Andy tried to cheer her up but they both knew it wasn't the right time. "okay, let me fill out some documents and we will be home". Andy added as she stood up and went out of the room.
Esther entered in her father's house since hers was closed for investigation. gladly the rich old man was out of the country, She went in her room, closed and sat on the floor.
reflecting on what just happened in few hours, confusions filled her thoughts. "I know exactly, Luc can't be dead but what exactly is going on"? she kept asking herself. "something..... something..... somehow..... but wait" she started moving around her room thinking. "I need to get back these memories. I need to find out something hidden in my mind, when was the first time I met Luc?" ..
Arranging her throughts, Esther brought all her diaries and started with where everything started.....
