59. Bren's Not-So-Happy Day

What can be more boring than having no one to talk to?

It is having nothing better to do.

Bren for the past few days felt like he is rotting in class. The trio is absent and he seldom talks to his other classmates.

For Charlene, he can't possibly pull her out of their section just to accompany him. So the only chances of him meeting her are during break times or lunch times. But Charlene usually is with her friends, so Bren has no choice but to accept his unlucky fate.

"Damn. This is killing me. Just where are those three? They're not picking my calls and responding to my messages. Jeez, I hope Charlene has a free time by and by."

Bren leaned back on his chair while not paying attention to the lessons being taught by their History teacher.

Lunch time...

Bren is gloomily eating his meal in the cafeteria as Charlene and her friends prioritized their class project first. Charlene only told him that she is sorry and promised him to go in a date this coming Saturday.

Bren is slowly eating his food when his eyes saw Tyson and his gang enter the cafeteria.

'What is that rich bastard doing here? I thought he doesn't like this place.'

As far as Bren could remember, this is probably the third time of Tyson and his group entered the cafeteria ever since the opening of classes. Tyson doesn't like the foods served, and the place is filled with lots of students, so he felt disgusted by it.

"Man, I really don't like this place. Tsk, whatever. Club president told us to spend only ten minutes to have our lunch time so better hurry up."

The three guys behind Tyson nodded in agreement to his words.

After ordering their foods, they looked around for a table to occupy. This is the time when the cafeteria is packed with students, since it is still early in the afternoon.

Seeing only a table with one person in it, Tyson led his gang to the place. The tables in the cafeteria can only hold four people.

"Hey, I remember that you are also a first year student right? It seems that you are alone." One of the guys behind Tyson walked over and talked to Bren.

Bren raised his head and glanced at the four of them.

"Yeah, I'm alone. If you want a spot, just sit on these empty chairs." Bren replied in a laid back manner as he is still planning on what he will do together with Charlene on their date this Saturday. Plus, he is not yet halfway finished on his food, so he will take a long time to leave his spot.

The guy who talked to him was irritated and thought that Bren is just too foolish. This time, it was Tyson who spoke.

"Hey, there are four of us, and we will have an urgent thing to do after ten minutes, so quickly scram or just stand there at the corner while eating." As Tyson is speaking, his three minions occupied the three empty chairs.

Tyson thought that Bren was at least intimidated by his words and was sure that Bren will give up his seat, but it was the opposite.

"Look, I came here first. Also, I'm not finished yet, so you go look for a spot." Saying that, Bren resumed his slow eating manner.

Tyson looked around. Certain that no one is looking towards him, he grabbed Bren by the collar of his school uniform and whispered some words.

"If you don't want to ruined today, just do what I say and I'll forget about this matter." After whispering what he wanted to say, he released Bren and stared at him.

"If you want to ruin me today, wouldn't the other student here will know that you have actually a disrespectful side?"

Hearing Bren's calm response, Tyson felt like his veins are about to burst in anger.

Ignoring his minions who are still eating, he turned around and left the cafeteria. Bren who is still eating felt deadly gazes directed to him. It was from the three boys around him.

"I'm sure Tyson will not let you off, just prepare yourself." With that, the three laughed, knowing that Bren will suffer today for what he did. Bren just laughed inside his head, thinking that these people are the ones who are foolish.

Bren is smiling ear to ear after meeting Charlene after their dismissal and had been given a kiss on his cheek.

He is walking home alone and had just exited the school gate when he sensed danger.

"Hehe."

Four students emerged from behind a block and blocked the path of Bren. Their timing is so perfect since there are no students around this time.

"Just beat him, make sure you control yourselves and do not harm him much. I just wanted to teach this foolish guy a lesson after all." It was Tyson and his gang.

The three minions were about to get closer to Bren when Bren made the first move.

In the span of time it takes for five blinks of an eye, those three minions fell to the ground, with one even unconscious while the other two are wriggling in pain as they felt pain all over their body.

Tyson didn't get a clear view of what happened since it is so quick, but right now, seeing Bren who seems like a different person, he froze in fear.

Bren approached him and whispered something.

"If you don't want me to ruin you, better conduct yourselves properly." Worried that someone may see them, Bren patted Tyson's shoulder and quickly went home.

The other two minions who recovered tried to wake the one who was unconscious while Tyson is trying his best to make his lungs take some more air.
