Eliza's Attitude Change

Not knowing how many sips of wine he had taken, Karan finally chose to take a small bottle of wine to drink at home. After his argument with Leon was over, he left him alone.

Ryn was also difficult to contact and now her mind was filled with Leon's questions and statements about Eliza. The girl he was currently married to, but he betrayed even before the wedding.

"Fuck! Everyone is useless to me, they're just a burden. No one can help me solve my problem," Karan screamed as he walked towards his car parked in the café's courtyard.

Karan's condition was not so bad that he could still drive his vehicle. Karan was not drunk, just a little dizzy with the problems he was facing.

Throughout the journey, he kept thinking about what Leon had said about Eliza. He didn't know if what he did was right or wrong, Karan never felt guilty about what happened. Even when Eliza found out about his affair.

"What's wrong with that girl? Why are so many men so enamoured of her. I don't even know how special Eliza is. She is incompetent in bed, how can she make me satisfied with just her."

Karan continued to curse and curse Eliza, who knows which demon made Karan even crazier than before he met Ryn. The girl had managed to poison Karan and drive him crazy, not caring that he already had a wife.

The house was deserted when Karan stopped his car in the garage. There was no sign of Eliza at home. Her car wasn't in the garage either.

"Where is that girl? Where is she in the middle of the night?"

Karan looked at the clock on his hand, it was past nine in the evening. But Eliza was nowhere to be seen around the house. Karan started trying to locate her.

"El, El, Eliza! Where are you? Hurry up and come out!" he shouted as he opened the main door.

Hearing Karan's shout, Tuti rushed out of the room. She was confused by the commotion Karan had made in the night.

"What's wrong, sir? Why are you looking for Madam?"

"Where is she, why isn't she home at this hour?"

Karan began to look so angry, he ran up the stairs to the room followed by Tuti his maid. He forced open the room, but Eliza was not there.

"Eliza! Where is she? Where is the girl? Where did you hide her?"

"Sir, Madam has not been home since this afternoon. I don't know where Madame went either, she didn't say anything to me."

"Why did you let her go, huh!"

Karan clenched his fists in anger, he tried to dial Eliza's mobile number. But even his attempts were unsuccessful. The call was not connected, Eliza had switched off her mobile phone.

Karan also tried to call Zoe's mobile number, the girl certainly knew Eliza's whereabouts. However, neither of their efforts yielded any results. Eliza's whereabouts were still unknown.

"Where is that girl, Ma'am? Why did she leave the house uncharacteristically? Is she..."

Karan did not continue when he heard the sound of a car parked at the boot. Irritated as he was, Karan rushed downstairs. Karan put on a serious and angry face as he waited for the main door to open.

"How dare you come home at night now?" he snarled as he folded his arms across his chest.

Seeing Karan right in front of her, Eliza looked awkward. She was nervous and afraid that Karan would find out what she was doing without her husband's knowledge.

"Why are you silent? Answer my question, El! Why are you coming home at this hour? It's late at night, what if there are dangers outside? Didn't you think of that? You stupid woman, you can't even take care of yourself."

Eliza raised her head to challenge Karan's ferocious face. She was really tired of being oppressed by this man. Even though he was her husband, Eliza couldn't accept it if he kept abusing her endlessly.

It was time for Eliza to speak up and stop giving in to him. If Karan could behave as he pleased outside, Eliza could do it too.

"Why are you asking me what I'm doing outside? Aren't you the one who said that we have the freedom to define ourselves? This marriage is just a status, isn't it?"

"El, how dare you challenge me like that! Who has made you like this?"

"No one has poisoned me or brainwashed me, I am the one behaving like this. All this is because of you, Karan. You have made me change a lot. If you can go out of the house as you please and even play crazy with other women outside, you can't stop me from doing the same."

Karan was taken aback. He did not expect Eliza to say such a thing. All this time, Eliza had never fought back let alone challenged him to a conversation. Eliza's tone of voice was also not as gentle as she had been.

What had happened to this girl that she dared to behave in such a manner towards Karan. She was not even afraid of Karan's anger. This man could have thrown Eliza out right then and there in a fit of rage.

"El, what happened out there? Who did you meet that you're acting like this to me?"

"I told you, no one influenced me. Didn't you let me do anything with the condition that I don't bother you too. Like that?"

"Yes, I did. But, why did you have to change like this. Look at your appearance! Why are you dressed like this? This is not the Eliza I know."

"Stop interrogating me!" said Eliza as she left Karan and headed upstairs.

Seeing Eliza's many changes made Karan very worried. Her memory of Leon's statement made Karan feel scared. For some reason, he suddenly felt the fear of losing Eliza.

However, what Eliza said was also true. That Karan had made a rule, they were free to do anything and have relations with any member of the opposite sex. However, this was not what Karan had in mind all along.

Karan knew that Eliza was a loyal girl, she wouldn't betray even if Karan was bad to her. However, what happened to Eliza today was beyond his expectation.

"El, we need to talk!" pleaded Karan as he went into his room following Eliza.

"What else do we want to talk about, Karan? There's nothing to discuss anymore. I'm just following a rule that we all agreed to."

"Yes, I did make that rule. But, why did you have to change? Was this in our agreement?"

"Why Karan? Why do you want to know everything about me when I can't know anything about you? If you can bring a woman into this house, can't I find another man who makes me more comfortable than I am with you?"

Eliza's last question took Karan completely by surprise. He couldn't believe that Eliza would take this kind of revenge on him.

However, Karan did not want to waste the opportunity when the two were in the same room together. Karan walked over.

"Emphttt!!! Let go of me, Karan!"

Karan gagged Eliza's mouth with a wild lick like he used to do every time he wanted his wife.

"Karan, let go!"
