Ch 2 - And bloody

By the time she came back to her senses, her fist was connected with the ground, her middle finger dislocated and knuckles bleeding red all over the white marbled floor.

She could hear the high pitched barks of the dog and her therapist sitting there calmly, cooing at that damned dog to calm down and shut the fuck up.

God. Her head was ringing and she couldn't think very straight. She felt like she was on a boat, wave after wave of water coming at her, shaking her up so much she couldn't stand up without falling down two seconds later.

"Shut that dog up." Mia's growling now, picking up her broken fist from the ground and snapping that off kelter middle finger back to it's place.

It hurt like hell. But it also made her feel real.

Less like this was another dream she was stuck in. More like the shitty reality she lived in.

"He's protecting me." Her therapist smiles. "You frightened him."

"Do I look like I give a shit."

"..."

"Exactly."

Mia groaned through gritted teeth as she stood up from her beanbag, raising her middle finger on her healthy hand as she made her way to the exit.

She couldn't be bothered to bid her lovely therapist a goodbye before slamming the door shut behind her. The feelings of frustration buried in her heart rising, like boiling lava, burning away everything in its path, till nothing but ashes remained.

Mia had the urge to kill something. To put her hands on someone's neck and squeeze. Feel the pulse under their skin weaken. Feel them struggling to take another breath before finally never taking one again.

Her hands twitch as she thinks about it, a feeling of warmth under her hands that felt all too similar to what she was just thinking about.

"This is why I need help."

She kicks the fallen garbage can by the road as she walked off to gods knew where.
