64 Christmas party

With one day left for the party, in the Slytherin common room all the boys are excited since they had already found a partner for the dance, but two people were with a gray aura when they were successively rejected: Crabe and Goyle.

The walls of the Great Hall had been coated in frost with sparkles of silver, and hundreds of garlands of mistletoe and ivy trailed across the black, star-studded ceiling. Instead of the usual house tables there were a hundred smaller, lantern-lit tables, each seating about a dozen people.

While Harry struggled not to stumble, Parvati seemed to be in bliss: she was smiling at everyone, carrying Harry with such determination that he felt like a show dog forced to show off its skills in a show by its owner. Approaching the table he saw Ron and Padma. Ron watched Hermione go by with his eyes almost closed; Padma seemed to be in a bad mood.
