That was when I met uncle's eyes, and sure I cannot read his thoughts, but I can understand the sight he gave me.

He knew what I have done, he knew everything, but as is his nature, he is his usual aloof self, he does not care what we all do, in his eyes we're all just wasting the 'gift'.

I need him gone, but I cannot win against him.

What the fuck am I supposed to do?

[Date: February 1950 – one year before the escalation.]

[Location: Slovakia]

[POV: Gabriel]

"Carlisle, we need to talk.": I said urgently.

"Not now Gabriel. I have no time right now.": Carlisle replied while getting ready for his night shift at the hospital.

"I know you are dodging me, Carlisle, but I have had enough of Edwards hostilities. Either you deal with it or I deal with it.": I say, extremely pissed off.

"He is just a kid, Gabriel. You are over a century older than him.": he threw out the same bullshit reply.

"A kid? Your 'kid', has been setting up the whole [Denali Coven], Esme, Rosalie, Emmet, and Jasper against me for the past few months. You know me, I don't give a shit about his little plots, but he is getting my nerves.": I say angrily, before going on: "This is going to be his third attempt on my life! The first time he wanted to set me up against those [Skin changers], the Quileute. Only, as idiotic as he is, he did not calculate for my luck, I ended up meeting a hot girl, and could not even be there that day for him to jump the trap on me!"

*Sigh*

"You know he got beaten up by them, and you had to head over to apologize for him intruding into their territory.": I said, before going on to explain his second attempt on my life: "The second time, he invited those nomadic bastards into our territory, allowed them to create a bloodbath, and pushed the blame on me because I am the only one that is not drinking from animals! We all barely avoided ending up on the hunters 'kill-on-sight-list', and I had to go confront those hunters, so that you all escape. To this day, I am on their shit list because of your 'KID'! The only reason I am still alive is once again my damn luck because a werewolf attacked them and killed half of their people, and I managed to escape in the chaos.".

*Sigh*

"I don't know what he is planing this time, but my gut is telling me to run! I can feel it in my bones, that this time he is brewing something really idiotic inside that empty head of his! All your 'Luck's' and fortunes are fine, just mine is screwed!!": I said, a bit less pissed off but still annoyed at the situation.

"Gabriel, what should I do?": Carlisle asks a bit tired out, he knew that his oldest son and his brother did not get along, and he tried mediating, but they're both too headstrong.

Edward is jealous of Gabriel for god knows what reason and Gabriel ignoring his little antics makes Edward even more angry, and finally, this cycle escalated for reasons unknown to Carlisle.

One thing that is certain though is that it is Edward that is instigating most of the aggression, and with each failure he gets more aggressive in his methods.

"I'd just kill him at this point, but I don't want to lose my family or hurt you, so I will just go away for a few years, and maybe he will calm down."
