Chapter 32

That is rather underwhelming viewing. It was basically the same as the canon timeline, except I can see every student instead of a few.

The show did not show how many people wanted to attend Beacon Academy. The initiation alone has around four hundred contestants, and if what I hear from Ozpin is correct, Only a small portion of it gets accepted. Ozpin said that he needs to reject at least a thousand people, and an automatic sorting program is already helping that.

Last year, only one hundred people got accepted while the others got themselves defeated by the Grimm. This year, there are around two hundred and sixty people. Meaning there are only sixty-five teams full of soon-to-be Huntsmen.

I know that the show only shows the most important team but come on! There are a few hundred more people here. Also, how in the fucking hell are they able to teach them all? Looking back, I think Jaune Arc really was a lucky son of bitch to be able to get into Beacon Academy.

He must have gotten that forged transcript from a professional hacker or something.

"I don't think this Jaune Arc is really a worthy student for our Academy Oz. He did not even know what Aura was! How can he become a hunter?!"

"I know Glynda, but…."

I can see Ozpin look at me and make me sigh a little. I know what he means. If Jaune gets rejected before the academy starts, he AND his team will also be rejected. Ozpin cannot just reject Pyrrha Nikos without smearing Beacon's reputation. Ozpin also knows that by rejecting both Nora and Ren, I will quit our agreement and take both Nora and Ren with me. He also knows that I can make both of them huntsman by accepting the council offer.

However, by accepting Jaune, Ozpin will gamble Beacon's reputation because their team will be put in the spotlight by partnering because of Pyrrha Nikos. Beacon's reputation will drop when the public sees how weak Jaune is.

"Haaaa… When will Beacon Academy officially start?"

"Three days. Monday will be the start of the Academy."

"I will take Jaune under my wing and train him to an acceptable level."

"... I don't want to doubt you, but even me will have a difficult time to make him powerful enough for Beacon. Unless… You want to use your mythic power."

"What? No! I will train him the old way. Don't worry. Three days should be enough."

"Hmmm… very well. I will even make him a leader of his team."

"Pardon me? You want to make him a leader? Why?"

"He already has a bright mind. He has the charisma to command his team. He can make a working strategy on the fly, and if what you are saying is true, then I will be foolish not to make him a team leader."

"That's… true. It looks like I need to increase the training regime I will use."

I'm sorry, Jaune, but it looks like you already signed your vacation in hell without you knowing.

Jaune stood inside the lift nervously. He did not know the reason why he and his team got called to the Headmaster's office, and his mind was already making many negative things. From expulsion to imprisonment.

"Ne, Fearless Leader! What do you think is the reason the Headmaster called us to his office?"

"I… Don't know, Nora."

"Aw… Renny! Do you think we will be expelled? Get thrown to prison? Or maybe the Headmaster has the secret ingredient to make Legendary Golden Pancakes?!"

Ren can only sign and shake his head. He decides to ignore Nora and her rant about pancakes. When she talks about them, she will not stop until either she gets a pancake or something to hit with her hammer.

Ren and Nora did not see how Jaune's face became even paler than before. The only one who notices it is his partner, Pyrrha Nikos.

"Don't worry, Jaune. We will not be expelled."

Jaune looks at his partner, takes a deep breath, and says.

"Yeah. You are right, Pyrrha. I'm just nervous, you know? I never get called to the Headmaster's office right after I get accepted."

"Ah. Yeah, I can see why you are nervous."

After a few seconds, the elevator opens up, and they can see Ozpin sitting behind the table while Glynda is standing beside him.

"Ah, team JNPR. Please take a seat."

The four of them take a seat in front of them and look at the ancient wizard.

"You guys must be wondering the reason why you guys called here." Ozpin looks at them and sees them nodding their heads. "The reason why I call you guys here is because of your team leader."

"Jaune?"

Ozpin looked at Pyrrha and nodded his head.

"Yes. Jaune over here… cheat his way here." Ozpin looks at Jaune, who has a face as white as snow. "Jaune? Will you tell your team about it?"

Jaune looked at his team and Ozpin for a few seconds before releasing a defeated sigh. Knowing that he did not have any way out, Jaune takes a deep breath and says.

"Yes. I cheated my way here. I did not have any qualifications as a hunter. I bought a forged transcript to get accepted here."

Ozpin nods his head and says.

"Good. Can I ask why?"

"... I have always had a dream to become a huntsman—A hero. My family is a hunter family. My father, mother, and almost all of my sisters are huntsmen. I want to be like them, but none of them want to train me for some reason. They did not want to let me be a huntsman. So I took my family's heirloom, this sword, and shield, and ran away from home. I could buy a forged transcript and get into Beacon with the money I saved. I thought there would be no more tests, and I would be trained instead of getting thrown into the forest filled with Grimm. That is reality slapping me right in the face. Without any formal training, I will not survive the initiation. My survival is pure luck."

"It is good you know your fault."

Ozpin nodded his head and looked at the rest of team JNPR before saying.

"The reason why I ask you guys to get to my office is that I want you guys to decide the fate of Jaune over here. I will not send him to prison, but I need you guys to decide if he deserves to be here."

Pyrrha looks at her first crush and has a hard time thinking. On the one hand, Jaune is her first crush and the first one that sees her as Pyrrha rather than the invincible girl. However, on the other hand, what Jaune did conflict with what she thought was right.

"Of course, he can stay! He is our leader, after all! He has already become one of the pack!"

Before Pyrrha could say something, Nora decided to declare her decision with pride. Because of her journey with Angelo, she takes the mindset of a pack. She gets the idea that family is everything, and it looks like She already declares that Jaune is their Alpha.

She has yet to admit him as her pack alpha, but she let him show himself if he is worthy of the title of an Alpha.

"Yes. I agree with Nora. He is one of ours, and we will not leave him."

Hearing the other reasoning, Pyrrha widens her eyes before nodding her head. Her resolve has been solidified. She has her answer.

"Yes. I also agree with them. We want Jaune to lead us. He already proved himself capable of leading us through battle. If not for him, we will have a hard time beating the Grimm that is attacking us."

Ozpin nodded his head and smiled.

"Very well! Jaune Arc will be accepted into Beacon Academy and continue to lead Team JNPR."

Jaune looks at his team, and slowly tears come out of his eyes. He did not expect his team to accept him even when he cheated to get into Beacon. He already prepared himself to be expelled from Beacon or even get imprisoned for what he did. Acceptance, on the other hand? No. He did not expect it.

"But! You need to go through hard training. Do you think you can do it, young man? Do you have the resolve to go through hard training? You will vomit, bleed, and even be half dead when you go through this training. Do you want to catch up with your teammate?"

Jaune looks at Ozpin with a fire in his eyes before nodding his head. He is already determined to go through this training-No! This opportunity Ozpin gave him. With an unwavering voice, Jaune says.

"Yes. I will do it."

Ozpin gave him a smirk before saying.

"Welcome to hell."
