Finally having some free time after wasting my time healing Amber while wasting another one of my precious items I managed to use <Mechanical King> to get the blueprints to create another Elixir…

Easier said than fucking done considering the ingredients for them is hard to obtain.

Now then…

It's, time to deal with that Side Quest about the White Fang but I hardly doubt my team could leave me alone, especially Ruby considering this is our free time I could bring Blake and Weiss along to deal with any White Fang leftovers.

Could bring closure to them but at the same time not deal with the final blow to the mad animal.

I wonder –

Opening up my Scroll I see we got ourselves a mission from… Ozpin?

This could only be good or bad for us.

Let's see what it says…

Bounty Mission: White Fang Issue

Issued: Headmaster Ozpin

Description: This mission is to be handed down to Team RWBY and Team JNPR to deal with the White Fang base in Mt. Glenn thanks to some anonymous info proven true that an attack is apparent to Vale City. Please come to the Headmaster's Office for further information regarding the mission.

Reward: 10,000 Lien, and Days off till the Vytal Festival.

We all entered the elevator Team RWBY and JNPR all waited patiently inside with some confused expressions on our faces when we all got our info from the Bounty Mission regarding the White Fang.

Many things were going through my head on how Ozpin predicted the events but then came to one conclusion he must have gotten it from Lionheart with magic.

That's the only conclusion I can think of.

*Ding*

Hearing a dinging sound we all entered Ozpin's office with Oz, Qrow, and Glynda standing by as he began to speak to us in a calm tone, "Thank you for coming on short notice Team RWBY and JNPR. I'm glad you answered my call for this."

Ruby moves forward a bit confused about the mission we got chosen for, "Yeah… but isn't this mission a bit sudden? And why request us, sir?"

Nodding his head and taking a swig of his cup Ozpin began to talk to us in a serious tone catching us surprised by his tone, "Simple. Out of the teams I choose you for your previous teamwork and planning as you did save Remnant, I thought it might be time to introduce you to how Huntsman work. That and the upperclassman are training hard for the Vytal Festival with all of the goal beating you all."

What?

My eyes were surprised by this when Yang mention something I haven't taken into account of my surroundings, "Oh? Is that why some of our peers have been giving us some odd glances at us from time to time?"

Glynda confirms this by replying to Yang's words as she spoke out to them, "You would be correct Miss Xiao Long. Seems like after the interview everyone including your buddy team SSSN and CFVY are doing all they can to train up. I have to say this Vytal Festival would be quite different this time around."

So we got ourselves some tough competition is what Glynda basically said huh?

Nora the eager member raises her fist in the air accepting the challenge, "Heh! Yeah, seems like our peers are aiming to take us down! In that case, I hope they fear the thunder thighs! Haha!"

You know I don't mind the welcomed challenge honestly because of what's to come so… more EXP for me~

But soon enough Ozpin coughs getting our attention back into the focus on the reason for the mission briefing, "Ahem. While I appreciate your all enthusiasm it's time to return to the topic at hand. We have been given info about the White Fang doing another dangerous act that calls forth our immediate attention as Huntsman and Huntresses. While I could condone their protest what they attempt to do is a borderline threat to humanity and the safety of the Vale Kingdom."

Glancing at Blake she flinches a bit before she finally asked what their plan was, "Pray to tell Headmaster what their goal is sir."

Not skipping a beat Ozpin dropped the bomb on them looking shocked while I remained calm as I already knew of this, "They plan to break a wall in the Kingdom of Vale's defenses. We have confirmation that Romans have been working for some time with them stealing Dust to which we speculate the massive stolen Dust could be enough to make a hole in the walls of our Kingdom letting Grimm roam free through it. According to our source, it was last sighted to be in Mt. Glenn…"

Blake pales at this but soon resolves herself with Weiss, Yang, and Ruby glancing their eyes concerned for her.

No kidding.

That was when the next piece of information immediately gets my attention right away what Ozpin spoke next, "We have also reason to believe a high-profile criminal Adam Taurus wanted for numerous killing humans is leading the charge. Hence you will be shadowed by three professionals for this."

Everyone soon stood still hearing about this, but Blake seems to immediately fearful, but Yang knocks some sense into her getting her to calm down.

That was when who would be supervising our teams when I began to talk to Ozpin who would be watching over us, "In that case Headmaster Ozpin who would be watching over us in this Bounty Mission?"

At this Ozpin smiles lightly at this as he gestures towards Qrow and Glynda on this with Qrow hearing over to Team RWBY, "Heh. I'll be the one to look after Team RWBY. After all, it's not every day I get to see my niece grow up."

Ruby practically squealed in delight at this hugging Qrow with Yang being happy about this, "Heh! We go on a mission with our Uncle Qrow. Best Mission ever!"

Qrow chuckles at this with Glynda coming over to us as she adjusted her glasses as she began to talk to us, "I see we are on a mission again Team JNPR. I hope this time to properly protect you all and show you how a Huntress works."

We all nodded since out of the Huntress we have to work with Glynda could be really handy against a crowd of Grimm and Qrow by himself with his <Misfortune> could be trouble to anyone unlucky to face him alone.

However, that was before I felt a very tight grip on Glynda's hand crushing my shoulders I felt the pain with her smiling at me with her eyes closed giving off dangerous vibes whispering to my ear only for me to hear making my spine tingle with fear, "JACK… you may have escaped punishment for your little stunt earlier yesterday… Oh but no way you're escaping after today's mission… Amber has been talking about having LIVE target practice for harming a young maiden's heart I'm so glad you volunteered later for that. And I just so happen to need some practice so please do be alive till we're done. Ok?"

Who is she and why the hell am I dealing with the devil?!!

As if the call of the universe answered my call that was someone else entered apologizing for being late as she spoke formally, "I apologize for being late Headmaster. The General called me here in his place because something came up with the CCT security systems. I'm Winter Schnee it's a pleasure to meet you all."

Before Winter could do anything Weiss was the first to hug Winter catching her off guard but returned it with Weiss speaking, "Winter! I'm so glad to see you back to normal and well again! It has been a while."

Winter trying to be professional failed as she returns the favor towards Weiss apologizing for not helping her and her friends during the Starro event, "No I should be the one thanking you Weiss. If only I was there to help… I apologize for attacking you all."

We only shrugged me replying to her with a neutral tone, "None taken."

With everyone agreeing and listening over to Ozpin's words confirming Winter is joining he replied to us, "Good. With everyone here, you can now proceed to take care of this mission. And all of you just be careful of what you face. Grimm may be our enemy but sometimes we must face monsters in Faunus or Human skin."

All of us nodded in agreement as we all got to pack our things first as this could take a while for this mission to complete.

Ruby was the first to speak to Ozpin thanking him for the chance to help people, "We won't let you down. Thank you, professor."

Ozpin smirks as he finishes his response to Ruby with some words of wisdom for us to hear, "Do not thank me for this. Teamwork and persistence have carried you far. But you must understand, the things that await you beyond the protection of the Kingdom will not care. Stay close to your guardians at all times and do exactly as they say. they will be leading you on this mission, and they can have you sent back to Beacon if they find your skills to be unsatisfactory. Good luck."

~Third POV~

Elsewhere on Mt. Glenn with the members of the White Fang loading crates filled with Dust onto the train Roman was there guaranteeing everything goes as planned, "Hey no! Those go in the back! Geez, why can't these guys get the work done correctly sigh…"

Sighing placing his hand over his head Roman checked up with everything when he saw Neo coming to view twirling her weapon around as she spots Roman, "We're clear on the Grimm attack from transporting the Dust. Also, the kiddies came out."

Roman could roll his eyes at that when the mention of kiddies referred to Emerald and Mercury while he groans at this, "Argh… just great what I need right now. More pains in my rear that I need to worry about."

"No, you won't."

Hearing a deep gruff voice coming out from behind Neo with a calm tone was Hazel soon responding to Roman, "Like I have said you won't have to worry about them. They are with Cinder occupied gathering allies for our own. I preferred if they didn't anyway."

Roman raised an eyebrow at the big man ahead of him as he introduced himself to him, "Roman. Nice to meet a more respectful fella for a change."

Hazel merely nodded in agreement as Adam soon comes into the picture seething at the humans but keeping himself calm going after his troops wearing a necklace pendant.

Soon Hazel began to give something to Roman that looks like to be a pair of pendant necklaces with the Salem symbol on it glowing a red light Roman asked what it was, "What the heck is this? Not to be rude or anything you seem nicer than the last mook but… it gives me goosebumps."

Hazel nods in understanding explaining to Roman with Neo beginning to listen into the conversation, "That right there is a promise. My benefactor managed to gather the spores of the space alien and began to use them for her own means. This is the result of their work. Wearing that will allow you to be 3 – 5 times stronger for the host who wears it. But depending on the results may vary. Now wear it."

Roman for her part would like to deny this but couldn't see Hazel being admitted almost downright forcing him to wait for Roman to respond.

Hazel's gaze soon goes over to Neo making Roman narrow his eyes at him forcing him to put on the necklace or else Neo wears it instead.

Roman soon grins happily at that wearing it feeling the power of his aura increase more than usual with a grin on his face while handing one to Neo, "Here you go Neo. You have got to try this it feels really amazing."

Holding onto the pendent necklace she holds it examining it for a while Hazel begins to walk away with Roman while Neo examines it before coming to her conclusion seeing Roman's eyes signaling her, "Hmm… maybe later. Roman said he was spooked by it and usually avoids any danger for himself. Guess the big guy Hazel wanted me to wear it but Roman took it but he seems happy but… better to not take the chance. I really hope it's nothing too bad."

Pocketing the pendant necklace in her pocket for time being she kept watch on Roman to see if there were any changes…
