22 Chapter 22: Tinted Bloody Red

Since it was a narrow battlefield, there weren't many players who could reach him. Even those who could did not cause much attack damage to Jiang Ming. The Reaper's scythe which had an HP absorption skill maintained his HP throughout the battle.

"What?! Why is this NPC so scary? His attacks are so powerful and we can't even kill him!"

This was because when Jiang Ming realised that there were a lot of players at the Demon Wolf Valley, he immediately hid his information. Only those who were at least 5 levels above him would be able to see them. This blinded the other players which was why they thought that he was an NPC.

The moment that Jiang Ming used the Reaper's Scythe, he became a member of the demon race. Therefore, when he killed anyone from the human race, he would gain a much higher EXP and honour value. There would also be an additional EXP on the Reaper's scythe. He even realised that the EXP that he got from the players above level 5 would be more than those that he could get from killing monsters.

Before dying, he had about 70% of EXP at level 6, but after that, he only had 20% of EXP left. Now that he had killed about hundreds of people, it gave him a huge amount of EXP, which was why he reached level 8 in such a short amount of time.

Although he had successfully reached level 8, since his name was now red in colour, he would immediately lose everything in his inventory once he died.

The system notification did not catch Jiang Ming's attention as he was more engrossed in killing players right in front of him. The only thing that was on his mind now would be to clear out all the players that were in his way and get to the Demon Wolf King as soon as possible.

What she didn't expect was the number of players that were already at the Demon Wolf Valley. However, because she was there slightly earlier than the rest, she was stuck inside as more and more players came from behind.

Then at some point, she started hearing a series of miserable shouts that were coming from behind her, and soon, she came face-to-face with the red-eyed Jiang Ming.

As she looked at Jiang Ming who was completely covered in blood, she suddenly thought of the man in the cave who had saved her before this. Although Jiang Ming's face was already stained with blood, she was sure that he was the man who saved her life; it was probably just her sixth sense.

Soon, the bloody reaper's scythe appeared right in front of her. For some reason, Snow Dust was unusually calm and had a soft smile across her face while looking at the blood-soaked man.

As the scythe stopped at her neck, a gentle smile appeared. She took a deep breath and said, "Thank you."

It was because, at the moment when she was about to be killed, instead of being scared or trying to run away, she remained at the same spot and smiled at him; especially that 'thank you' which made him tremble.

When he noticed the Demon Wolf King and Chikage who were still fighting, he kept the reaper's scythe and went towards the two of them.

Soon, he arrived at Demon Wolf King and Chikage's position and by this time, he had already killed thousands of people. The reaper's scythe had been upgraded to level 8 and because the weapon's level could not be higher than his own level, most of the soul point would just be accumulated by the scythe.

"Boss, do I look like a player to you?" Chikage rolled its eyes. After being together for some time, Chikage was already comfortable with Jiang Ming and instead of calling him 'master', he started calling him 'boss' which sounded a little nicer.

Jiang Ming shook his head as he looked at the black cat. Since Chikage was an abnormal existence in this game, the system might have already categorised him as a monster.

"I'll have to leave in ten seconds," Jiang Ming said while looking at the Demon Wolf King, "Congratulations, but I think you owe me something."

When the Demon Wolf King saw that most of the players had already left the Demon Wolf Valley, it let out a breath of relief. When it heard Jiang Ming, its eyes were filled with gratitude. Then, it spat out three items and threw them to Jiang Ming.

Jiang Ming picked up the three items the Demon Wolf King had passed to him and turned towards Jin Tian's group that was hiding in the corner. Then, he turned and saw the scene before him that was tinted in red. He smiled until he was forced to log out of the game when he disappeared on the spot.
