Chapter 53: The Mother of all Scandals

Sabrina looked down at the paper that was crumbled in her hands and started to rip it to shreds as she was hysterically sobbing and letting out sighs of anger. I have never seen her so broken before, and that was saying something about Sabrina. She was always so confident, so poised. She has never looked more human than she did at that moment.

'Apparently, they were plotting a rebellion against the reigning monarch of Liechtenstein. They were planning an assassination so that they could claim the throne. They didn't die protecting Liechtenstein or serving the Crown. They died because they wanted more power and were willing to risk everything for it, even their lives', Sabrina started to narrate once she took a couple of calming breaths.

'I can only imagine what this must be doing to you', I said, unable to fight back a tear of my own.

'They didn't even care that they had a child. I will never forgive them for this. Never!'
