Chapter 32 Receiving An Award From The President.

Rebecca, Kara's manager was relaxing in the garden of the Stewart Mansion receiving the cool breeze of nature when her phone suddenly rang.

She took her phone from the glass table and check to see the caller's ID, she froze from what she saw.

The caller's ID was having the U.S seal logo as its ID indicating that the caller is from the White House.

Rebecca took some deep breaths, trying to compose herself after she was sure that she had composed herself, she answered the phone call.

"Hello! Miss Anderson speaking, how may I help you?? She asked the caller.

"Good morning, Miss Anderson, I'm Colin Luis the chief of staff of the President Of United States," The caller said to Rebecca.

"Nice to Meet You, Mr.Colin, so may I please know the reason for your call?? Rebecca asked the caller.

"His Excellency, President Alex Bryan, President of the United States of America, wants the presence of Kara Stewart at the white house this afternoon," The caller said to Rebecca.

"If I may ask, what does the President want with my client?" Rebecca asked politely

"His Excellency, Mr.President is holding a ceremony at the White House today, and he demands the presence of the Pop Princess," The caller said to Rebecca.

"Can I know why exactly?? I need to give my client some reasons, you know?? Rebecca reasoned to the caller.

"I'm sorry Miss Anderson, this is highly classified," The caller said to Rebecca.

"Okay, she will be there," Rebecca said to the caller.

"Have a nice day Miss Anderson," The caller said to Rebecca while disconnecting the call.

"Kara, You got a call from the White House and his Excellency Mr.President demands your presence! F.Y.I I've agreed on your behalf, so go and get ready, we will be going to Washington DC this afternoon," Rebecca said to Kara as soon as she got inside the mansion.

"Did You just have to accept the invitation?? Kara asked Rebecca weakly.

"Are you crazy?? This is the United States President we are talking about, when he wants the presence of a U.S Citizen, he gets it no matter what! Rebecca said to Kara.

"Fine, whatever, I'll go and get dressed now, please tell Joshua to prepare the limousine," Kara said to Rebecca while going upstairs to get a shower before getting dressed.

Ten minutes later, she came out of the bathroom and went into her walk-in closet, she ransacked her closet looking for a suitable outfit to wear, after all, she was meeting with the President of the United States.

After about fifteen minutes of ransacking her closet, she finally choosed a blue L.X Designs gown, designed with blue diamonds making the gown to look stunning.

She put on the blue diamond gown along with a blue stiletto, resting beautifully on her neck was her signature diamond necklace with her name as the pendant.

Prototypes of her diamond necklace have been made by other Jewelries Companies for fans who loved dressing like her.

Thirty minutes later, she came out of her room, descended the stairs, and headed to the living room.

"I'm ready, let's start going," Kara said to Rebecca as soon as she came to the living room.

"I can't believe it took you forever to dress up, what if we were boarding a commercial plane? is this how you are gonna make us late?? huh?" Rebecca asked Kara while heading towards the door connecting to the lobby of the mansion.

"I'm sorry but I had to shower," Kara said to Rebecca while following her outside, heading towards the driveway.

"I'm not mad, I'm just saying you gotta learn how to be fast in dressing up, you are not an old lady, are you?" Rebecca asked Kara.

"No, I'm not! Kara said to Rebecca with a high-pitched tone.

"Good morning Miss Stewart, Miss Rebecca," Joshua greeted the two ladies as soon as the ladies came to the driveway while opening the door of the limousine.

"Joshua, please take us to the Airport, we are running late in meeting with the President," Rebecca said to Joshua as soon as she entered the limousine.

"Right Away Miss Rebecca! Joshua said to Rebecca while turning on the car's ignition.

In no time Joshua zoomed off heading to the airport, with two limousines containing the other bodyguards accompanying them as convoys.

An hour later, Kara's convoys arrived at the Los Angeles International Airport, Joshua immediately came down and opened the door of the limousine for Kara to come out, while ten other bodyguards immediately formed a protective wall around her, shielding her from the multitude of frenzied fans that rushed to her upon seeing her alighting from the limousine.

Meanwhile, Joshua was pushing through the crowd while ushering Kara into the tarmac of the airport, where Kara's private jet was waiting for them.

"Good morning Miss Stewart," A female flight attendant greeted as soon as Kara boarded the Jet.

"Good morning to You too, Miss," Kara replied while taking her seat on the Jet.

"Please fasten your seatbelt, we will be taking off now." The female flight attendant said to Kara.

"Okay, Yeah, Sure!. Kara replied to the female flight attendant.

In no time, the Jet took off heading for Washington DC.

After one hour and thirty minutes of flight, Kara's Private Jet landed at the "Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport," located in Virginia, United States.

"Welcome to Washington DC Miss Stewart," A secret service officer greeted Kara as soon as she descended the airstairs.

"Thank You, Sir," Kara replied.

If you are ready, let's start going, the ceremony is about to begin," The secret service officer said to Kara.

"Yeah, sure, I'm ready, please lead the way," Kara replied to the secret service officer.

And with that, they started walking towards the limousines waiting for them at the tarmac.

They were about six presidential limousines parked neatly at the tarmac, patiently waiting for Kara and her entourage.

About twenty secret service officers were at the tarmac, patiently waiting for Kara to arrive, they were to serve as her escorts.

"I can't believe we will be stepping our foot at the White House!. Rebecca squeaked happily as soon as they boarded the presidential limousine.

"Yeah, Me too! I still can't believe this is actually happening, a twelve years old girl at the White House, am I so lucky or what?? Kara asked Rebecca.

"You are a lucky girl, whose dreams came true! Rebecca said to Kara.

"Your talent brought you here, Kara," Rebecca said further.

"Yeah! Kara said to Rebecca while smiling brightly.

Forty minutes later the convoys arrived at the Grand Foyer, the formal entrance to the White House.

Kara alighted the presidential limousine, accompanied by her bodyguards and the secret service officers.

They were met and welcomed by Mr.Colin, the Chief of Staff of the President.

"Welcome, Miss Stewart! The President has been expecting you," Mr. Colin welcomed Kara.

"Oh! I'm so sorry to keep him waiting," Kara replied with guilt etching on her face.

"No, You don't need to apologize, we didn't inform you on time," Mr. Colin replied

"Okay! Kara replied warmly.

"Forgive me, Sir, but if I may ask, are you our tour guide?? Rebecca asked dreamily.

She was really looking forward to touring the White House.

"I could be, but for now I'm Colin, the Chief of Staff of the President," Mr.Colin said to the ladies.

"Oh! (Sighs) Rebecca sighed sadly.

"Nice to meet You,' Kara said to Mr.Colin warmly while smiling brightly.

"I was sent by the President to welcome You and bring You to his office," Mr.Colin said to Kara and Rebecca.

"So, if You are ready, we can head there now! Mr.Colin said further.

"We are ready! Kara and Rebecca replied chorously.

And with that, Mr.Colin led them towards the President's office.

A few minutes later, they arrived at the Oval Office located at the west wing of the white house.

"Miss Kara, Please wait here let me inform the President of your arrival," Mr.Colin said to Kara while gesturing for her to sit and wait.

"Okay," Kara replied Mr.Colin warmly while smiling brightly.

And with that, Mr.Colin walked into the President's office.

"Mr.President, Miss Stewart is here," Mr.Colin said to the President as soon as he entered the office.

"Oh! Please send her in at once! President Alex ordered Mr.Colin.

"Right away, Your Excellency," Mr. Colin said to the President while exiting the Oval Office.

"Miss Stewart, the President will see you now," Mr.Colin said to Kara as soon as he cot to where Kara was waiting.

"Okay, thanks! Kara replied Mr.Colin warmly.

And with that, Kara and Rebecca entered the Oval Office, part of the Executive Office of the President.

"Good afternoon, Mr.President," Kara greeted the President as soon as she came into the Oval Office.

"Good afternoon, Miss Stewart, I trust you had a comfortable journey to the White House?? The President asked Kara warmly.

"Yes, Sir, we did," Kara replied warmly to the President.

"Good! I'm so glad you came, please feel free to tour the White House, My Chief of staff will guide you," The President said to Kara warmly while smiling brightly.

"Thank You, Sir," Kara thanked the President while smiling gratefully.

"You are welcome, do you care for anything?? President Alex asked while picking up the intercom.

"No, Sir, we've had enough already on our way here," Kara politely declined.

"Okay, very well then! President Alex replied Kara warmly.

"Colin, come down to my office this instant, I have a job for you! President Alex ordered sternly through the intercom.

Five minutes later, Mr.Colin came inside the Oval Office.

"You sent for me, Mr.President," Mr.Colin said to the President as soon as he arrived at the Oval Office.

"Yes, I did, I want you to give Miss Kara and her Manager here, a tour of the White House," President Alex ordered Mr.Colin sternly.

"Right Away, Your Excellency," Mr.Colin said to the President.

"Right this way ladies!! Mr.Colin said to Kara and Rebecca while walking towards the door.

"Yes, Hallelujah! Rebecca squeaked happily.

She was trying her best not to squeak out in the presence of the President when she heard the President telling them to feel free touring the White House, so now that she was out of the Oval Office, she couldn't hold it in any longer.

An hour later, they were done with the tour, Mr.Colin led them to the outside of the White House, where the ceremony was to commence.

Guests have started arriving at the White House, members of the press were already there to cover the event and in no time, the outside of the White House was filled with guests.

The national anthem was played to commence the start of the ceremony, Meanwhile, Kara was made to sit at the front seat prepared for the guests.

A Few minutes later, President Alex Bryan came out of the White House with two secret service officers accompanying him.

"Good afternoon, distinguished guests, citizens of United States," President Alex greeted the guests warmly as soon as he got to the presidential podium.

"We are all gathered here this afternoon to present the presidential medal of freedom award to an amazing young lady in our midst today," President Alex said to the guests warmly while smiling brightly.

Kara, Rebecca, and the guests clapped.

"It is with great pleasure, I'm presenting the presidential medal of freedom award to this young lady, this young lady has inspired a lot of Americans to take a step and do something meaningful with their lives," President Alex said to the guest with a pause.

"Please, ladies and gentlemen, My fellow Americans, please let's welcome the Princess of Pop, Kara Stewart!!!! President Alex said to the guests, making Kara to gasp from shock.

The guests clapped happily.

"Miss Stewart, please come and receive your award," President Alex said further while waving at Kara to come forward.

The guests clapped happily while Kara came to meet the President at the presidential podium.

"Thank You all so much," Kara said to the crowd of guests while preparing to make a speech.

"Your Excellency, Mr.President!

"Senators and Members of the Cabinet!

"Honourable Ministers!

"Distinguished Guests!

"Ladies and Gentlemen!

"My fellow Americans!.

"It is with great pleasure that I receive this award today.

"So, please allow me to sincerely thank you warmly for granting me the honor to gratefully accept this presidential medal of freedom award,"

"Firstly, I will love to thank God for giving me this talent!

"Secondly, I will love to thank My mom for making me the girl I am today!

"Thirdly, I will love to thank the President of United States, "President Alex Bryan," and my fellow Americans.

"Then last but not the least (hahaha)

"I will love to thank My fans all over the world, for loving and supporting me, you all are amazing and I love you all so much!.

The guests clapped happily.

"The reason I composed those songs is that I wanted to inspire and let people all over the world know that nothing is impossible to do if they set their hearts and minds on it!

The guests clapped happily.

"What You all need in life is self-belief!

The guests clapped happily.

"In this life, the only person that can help You is You!!

"It's high time You stand up and do those things you have been promising yourself that you are gonna do!

"If You can't go about it yourself, then reach out to people who can help you, don't stay silent!

Make a decision that could change Your life and millions of others,"

"Thank You very much!

Kara ended her speech to the crowd of guests while coming down from the presidential podium.

"Whooooo!!!!!! The guests clapped and cheered happily.

Without wasting any more time, President Alex presented the award to her.

"Thank You, Miss Stewart, for being a symbol of hope and inspiration to us Americans and the entire world. President Alex said with a smile, shaking the hands of Kara while presenting the award to her.

The guests clapped happily while cheering happily.

Members of the press couldn't stop clicking their cameras.

Kara looked at the presidential medal of freedom award that was given to her, she couldn't help but shed tears of Joy.

The badge of the Presidential Medal of Freedom is in the form of a golden star with white enamel, with a red enamel pentagon behind it; the central disc bears thirteen gold stars on a blue enamel background (taken from the Great Seal of the United States) within a golden ring.

Who would have thought that the reason the President demanded her presence at the White House was to present her with the highest award given to U.S Citizens, for an especially meritorious contribution to the security or national interests of the United States, world peace, cultural or other significant public.

The next day, news channels were flooding with videos of the award ceremony event at the White House.

Newspapers and Magazines weren't excluded from the ordeal.

Their headlines were mainly:

(1) POP PRINCESS RECEIVES PRESIDENTIAL MEDAL OF FREEDOM

(2) KARA STEWART THE PRINCESS OF POP RECEIVED THE PRESIDENTIAL MEDAL OF FREEDOM AWARD FROM THE PRESIDENT

(3) PRESIDENT ALEX BRYAN AWARDS POP PRINCESS KARA STEWART THE PRESIDENT MEDAL OF FREEDOM

These were some of the many headlines that were appearing in Newspapers and Magazines.

Kara sat down in her room holding the award and one of the Newspapers, looking at it intently with a somber look.

"How I wish you were here to witness this Jeffrey, I can't wait for you to come back to me," She thought sadly.

Prince Joffrey was sitting in his office reviewing some projects for the charity organization that was going to be completed soon.

TV News Caster: Today broadcasting to you live from the White House, is the Pop Princess Kara award ceremony at the white house.

Prince Joffrey immediately looked up at the TV to see Kara making an incredible speech, he was amazed and impressed by Kara's achievement.

"This is a girl fit for a King, I can't wait to make You my Queen Kara Stewart! Just hold on a little longer," Prince Joffrey said to himself while sighing deeply.
