Chapter 31- Serrina

Serrina had not thought it would be so easy, that being giving Dormer more wine than he could deal with and having him pass out on his bed. Did he truly underestimate her that much? To the point of not having his guard up at all? But she could not blame him, not after falling into the role of a depressed little girl too well.

The first few days had not been acting, but since her talk with Amir, Serrina had decided it was enough. She’d had enough of mourning, of crying and despair. It was time to take action, before she lost so much more.

A few days ago, when Serrina showed up at court with a crown on her head and a glorious gown on her body, she heard the new nobles whisper as she passed them. “Two faced bitch” they called her, some went as far as saying she had betrayed her family for power. She only smirked at them, at their stupidity and innocence. After all, those new to court thought all there was, was in fact all they saw.
