Chapter 20

"Shooot! Shoot! Shoooooooot!!! Calm down, Olivia. You still got time to fix everything. The weakling Elizebeth is no more. It's you now in this body. You can do this… shoot."

Kyle stopped right at the entrance of the garden which painfully closed with his sister's bench. He had a promise to fulfill, hence why he was here in the garden at the early night to meet his beloved sister. But, the anger of his sister was so… sudden. He had to stop his track.

"It came down to this, huh? No easy money in this world, I guess. It's time to use my brilliant survival skill to survive this game, yeah."

He heard her anger breath oozing out from her body, flaring up her action into worse. It was his first time to see his sister in this state. The wording she'd display was totally out of his dictionary as well. There's nowhere a noble lady said something crooked and out of his lexicon. And easy money? Survival skill? What is she talking about? Who is Olivia? She is Elizebeth. The weakling Elizebeth...

"Huh~ I miss my Kiki. Where is my Kiki?" The sudden call out from her jolted him from his own imagination. Feigning ignorance with her out of character behavior, he walked towards his sister in an innocent vibe.

"Lize?" Kyle called her in usual soft face and smile.

Elizabeth turned towards the source, she quickly came down from the bench and ran towards him. "KIKI!"

Kyle caught the lady wordlessly and hugged her and brought her back to the bench that she sat just now. "What are you doing here alone, Lize?" He asked as he put down his sister. Subtlety, testing her honesty.

"Lize? Lize was talking to herself." Said her truthfully unaware that her brother was already overheard her own conversation.

Kyle couldn't help but admire her honesty. He believed his sister was flawless and no-fault or even if she did, it was unintentionally. How could an angel like her who never lied to him even once has a fault? His cute sister is an angel, a fairy, and a nymph.

"Are you ready to talk about the previous issue with me?" Kyle didn't waste anything and went straight to the point. He was aware that his sister hated to delay the issue.

The corner of her lips quirked up, instinctively. "Yesh!"

Kyle was impressed with the sudden attitude even though she still kept her cuteness at a bay. "May Kiki know all Lize worries?"

Elizebeth blinked, her index finger tapping her chin. "Instead of worry, Lize wanted to know very classified information."

Kyle twitched his brow though the smile was there on the lips. So it is truly classified information. "Feel free to speak your mind, Lize." He agreed. He didn't know what his sister wanted to know but he had no desire to lie to her.

Elizebeth mused on, recollecting her question for a while. The sound of cricket buzzing around them and they treated it as their background music. There's some information she wished to disclose and some wished not. She crafted her words accordingly so there's no slip-up.

The purpose of the meeting truthfully was to dig as much information she could squish from her brother. If possible, she wanted to squish him dry to satisfy her curiosity. Including the mythical beasts around them. She knew there's a lot of useful power of mythical beasts that they could manipulate to increase the ranking and to boost this country. However, this region hated mythical beasts and magicians equally as their life depended on it.

"Must be a heavy topic?"

Elizebeth nodded.

"And who's this teacher of yours?"

"Yes? Teacher?" She couldn't quite understand the question. Kyle was a tricky person. One wrong answer, her brother would know everything. She needed to handle this matter meticulously.

"What do you want to impose on me, Lize?"

Elizebeth played with her fingers guiltily. "It's not like that."

"You ask for confidential information. Let me take a peek at least." Begged Kyle. It wasn't his style to beg for any kind of information. He loved to exploit his subject to his fullest to gain one, but this one was his dearest sister. Surely, he couldn't do it. She was too precious for that.

"Everyone has their own secret. Kiki too has one." Retorted her in low pitch.

Kyle speechless. He couldn't deny the retortion. He indeed has more than a few secrets that he would never disclose to everyone or anyone in that matter. Especially his exploitation of his people.

"I know." The final words from Elizebeth like a final nail on the coffin. If he wanted to be a smartass and intimidated his sister, he doubted the warmest smile from Elizebeth would be upon him any more. He couldn't afford to lose his sunshine.

"Ha~. Fine. I'll promise to answer all your questions to the best of my ability." He pushed his hair to the back as he spoke. Sat straight on the bench.

She beamed again and Kyle knew he was at a disadvantage because that smile was fatal to his dark heart.

"Kiki promise Lize…" She trailed off. Hesitation was evident on the face.

Kyle could not help but wrinkle his forehead. Why is she like this? "Kiki promise." He followed her flow, regardless.

"Even if Lize wants to know about the mythical creatures?" She said in very slow volume and while tilting her head. Exuded her charm to her brother.

Kyle flinched as the dark smile coloring the face. It looks lovely to the common people and Elizebeth but only people around him know the real meaning. He always used a defenseless smile towards Elizebeth as he was fond of her but tonight he could not afford to be a hypocrite. This was the heaviest topic in the whole region. No one ever spoke of the magical creatures. It was a taboo subject to be discussed with.

He looked at his sister batting her eyes innocently and immediately changed his own opinion. As if. No one would dare to behead Elizebeth, the princess of Shar. His father's status was just below the King. As the crown prince was the prince of the Shar Kingdom, Elizebeth was considered the princess of the Shar Kingdom as both King Callisto and Duke Brice cherished her as much. And also because the king has yet to produce the real princess of the kingdom.

"Maybe if you… it's okay." Whispered him alone. Watching her in his complicated smile.

"I will ask Dada if you can't answer me. No pressure." She then shrugged it off like it was nothing.

The Dada word and no pressure threw him off completely. So suddenly, the tickles of his heart could not fathom anymore so he burst the loudest laugh in his entire life. His whole body vibrated by the impact, making both him and Elizebeth that clinging at his arm vibrating following his body flow.

Putting Dada and no pressure side by side is pressure for everyone including him. His sister knew how to control people. He was so impressed.

"Kiki?"

Kyle raised his hand and asked Elizebeth to wait for him to finish his laugh. Indeed. She is the nation princess. It's possible if she asked. Maybe. If it wasn't possible, he would make it possible for her.

"Are you done?" Said her gullibly or maybe that's what she was after for. Looking clean for everyone around her.

"Yes. I'm done." Kyle swiped away the tears of laughter from his cheek. "Yes. You can ask me about the mythical creatures."

The corner of her lips perked. "Good." She hugged Kyle's arm tightly.

"What do you want to know about the creatures?"

"The dragon and the phoenix."

Kyle bereft of speech for a second time. His sister does love to give him a panic attack. It was not a normal creature she was asking, but rather a very highly intelligent and the rarest species. How did she know all of this?

"Why do you want to know about those two?" He tried his luck.

Elizebeth just shrugged her shoulder. Clearly didn't want to answer the question.

"Fine. Kiki won't ask." Kyle patted his sister's head. "Dragon and phoenix are the most intelligent animal species rivalry to humans or maybe more than humans." He sounded bitter at the end of the sentence.

Elizebeth nodded in full anticipation. Her green eyes shone the brightest while listening to Kyle's story.

"Their powers are extraordinary and much more powerful than any normal mythical creatures. They are the most troublesome and lousy species, giving us a headache into the bargain. It's best if you don't associate yourself with them."

It's exactly what the book described them though it wasn't the piece of information she wanted to hear.

"Sounds interesting."

Kyle knitted his brow. Elizebeth looked excited in spite of his warning. "It's best if you don't associate yourself with them." Repeated him and put pressure on the word associate to highlight it.

"I know but they are interesting." Beaming.

Kyle had a headache so suddenly. Which part of the words she didn't understand. "What is interesting?" He smiled while his fingers clenched the edge of the bench tightly.

"Mr. dragon and Mr. phoenix." Kneeled next to him and clung to his neck.

"Mister? Why are they the mister?" Kyle gripped her waist to steady her inside his arm.

"Because they are intelligent and powerful!" Said her cheerfully.

The corner of Kyle's lips twitched. His smile trembled. His sister was so innocent.
