CHAPTER 11
Another Near death Experience
It was not hard to tell it is day or night outside .It did not affect her perception. The cave has much more Mana than other places above the ground. But one thing is for sure, most of the creatures in the labyrinth stay active during day time. It was unusual for even some nocturnal creatures to stay active during day time. But due to the lack of light it didn't matter inside the dark tunnels of the labyrinth. Kuro usually did the recon of the cave during night time. She hunted for food during day time. It was her usual routine as the most dangerous creatures usually stay active during the daytime which means going out of her safe zone is a big no no. But during the night time she can go out to the dangerous places where some of the most dangerous creatures of the second floor like the poison hydra and the earth feline live. Fighting these monsters in their own territory is nothing more than suicide. Sure, she can make an ambush plan but if she failed then either she has to flee or fight it despite the disadvantages. And kuro doesn't like to take such heavy risks. As one of the big three, in the second floor, she new well that if she fought either one of them then she will be forced to leave the second floor earlier than she has planned.
But it seems that lady luck is not on her side. Even without provoking any of them the poison hydra came knocking at her door.
It has been 5 days since she is snooping around the territory of poison hydra. she never provoked the creature, and always made sure that she go unnoticed by the other creatures by suppressing her aura. But what she didn't expect was an ambush from the poison hydra itself. It was a creature with two heads one was purple coloured while the other was pale yellow coloured. Both of it's heads were connected to it's torso by two elongated necks. It's body was purple colour while yellow strips going across it's legs. Surprisingly it didn't have any teeth in its jaws. It's snot was like that of a cat. So rather than intimidating It looked funny. If not for the poisonous air it was breathing, Kuro would have been laughing her ass of after seeing it's face. The most funny part was its tail. It was curved like a dog's tail and was swinging side to side with very high speed. And with it's dripping tongue which looked much more like a dog's tongue rather than a reptilian tongue, it was the perfect clown in the animal Kingdom.
But the same cannot be said for it's poison. It not only threw dangerous poison from it's maw, but also the more it breathed in the air, the more poisonous the surrounding became. It wasn't strong as Kuro expected it to be, but it's agility and speed were enough to made up for it's lack of strength. It's skin was also poisonous or at least that's what she thought. After dodging and counter attacking from long distance, for a few minutes, Kuro decided to end the fight quickly. But when she tried to gather a large amount of Mana, her instincts screamed something wrong. But it was too late. Suddenly the eyes of the purple headed hydra lit up. And the colour of the poisons in the atmosphere changed from purple to deep red. And Kuro felt her body go limp. The warnings and emergency notifications from her self created artificial intelligence 'Wise one' flashing before her eyes as she started to lose consciousness.
Surely she didn't expect to get another near death experience.
