CHAPTER 10

Kuro felt a vein popping up in her forehead. For last half an hour, the white spider was following her like a lost puppy. Which looked pitiful. She tried to shook it of by going to extremely unreachable places. But the spider's determination in following her was greater than she imagined. First she admired it's determination. But as time passed it became very dangerous for the spider. After an hour of walking, Kuro saw a cliff. It was created by some major geographical movement. She can see the magma beneath it. She easily crossed the cliff by jumping high. After reaching other side, she turned around to see the spider looking downward at the edge of the cliff. Then it went back a few steps and running towards the edge, it jumped up. Kuro was sure that it will be end for it, if she didn't save it. So reluctantly, she used dark magic, Black Chains to save it. But that was a mistake. After that, it followed her to places, where it almost died. And it genuinely believed that She will save it. And the utmost loyalty and worship in it's spidery eyes..... not cute at all. After saving it from falling in another pitfall, Kuro decided that enough was enough. She turned around and signalled it to leave. And result.... Not even in a million years Kuro has ever imagined, that she will panick and try to calm down a crying, not so good looking monster. Seriously ! how in the world even it was able to cry ?

"All right, little guy, I will call you white from now on." Kuro replied.

The little spider, listening it's new name, did a little victory dance.

Kuro didn't even realised and a month passed away. White became her new friend and her new lab assistant. Experimenting on mana cores of monsters. After a long time, Kuro was really happy for once.

Two months have passed since Kuro met with white. She taught her magic. And the little spider absorbed all the knowledge like sponge absorbing water. She herself has improved a lot. Kuro created her first skill tree. Using mana as a base she conjured a system for creating different skills. It was incredible on her part. She first wanted to create fourteen unique skills. But the amount of mana needed for it was absurdly high.So she postponed the idea for a bit. Instead she created a new teleportation spell. It was the second space time spell she created. The first was a storage pocket. It was a spell through which, Kuro created a mark where she can store many different things. The marker increased the volume of the space inside the storage marker. Kuro has developed a lot in her other areas as well.

She has collected many mana cores of different monsters. Unlike the first time, she didn't absorbed the mana core directly. She has done a lot of reasearch on them. Like there are three types of mana cores. The first one is only a condensation of mana without any attribute. These kind of mana core mainly increased the physical strength, endurance and healing abilities of the monsters. She named it simple mana core.The quality of mana of these kind of mana core is relatively low, or less dense to be more precise.

The second type of mana core possesses relatively dense amount of mana compared to the first one. It usually possesses a dominant attribute. Kuro named them attributal mana core. These are rare as only a few strong monsters she found, had them Those monsters were able to use magic of there respective attribute. But as expected, without, proper knowledge on magic, those monsters were only able to use one or two types of magic.

Then the final one. Kuro nearly escaped death while fighting the owner of this mana core. It was a earth salamander. But the special thing about it's mana core was, it possesses a piece of consciousness of the dead monster. It's like it had it's own will. A weak will, but a will nonetheless. She named it sentient mana core. Later when she thought about it, in this world, monsters possesses a large amount of mana. Even white possesses more mana than a knight captain. She was a genius and possesses more mana than five archmage combined. But even that amount was comparable only to a baby dragon.That's why human relied on haki or great weapons created from monster materials and monster mana core to fight against monsters.
