Chu Peng

Oh!

'Well, that was unexpected.'

He truly didn't expect to have completed a hidden mission.

Staring at the sword in his hand, Blade smiled before placing it in his space ring.

He planned to deal with the two swords at a later date. Right now though, he had things, important things to do.

His figure blurred. Traveling across the couple-hundred-mile city in a few breaths of time was casualness in and of itself for the current Blade.

Reappearing in front of two tall pillars and a sign that wrote "Peng Manor" Blade smirked sadistically and entered, leaving two headless guards for the close-by civilians of the city to see.

The fight between him and the city lord was too far away for these residents to perceive, so at this moment, news hadn't traveled.

Some time passed, and a lone figure covered in blood appeared.

He had a devilish grin on his face, making him look no different than what one would imagine a demon would look like.

"Oh boy, beautiful Peng clan, now I need not embarrass myself in front of Athena. The Spirit Stones you, the Peng clan have added with the natural resources of a City Lord... I can be called rich..!"

After looting the treasury, Blade's mood was 100% happy.

By the time he had exited the Peng Manor, there were many people. After all, two dead guards at the City Lord's residence were quite obviously bad news.

To add oil to the flames, there were rumors of what had happened with the city lord's son. This brought a bought of confusion and uneasiness.

Seeing a blood-drenched humanoid exiting the City Lord's Manor, many had already pieced the puzzle and came up with their own conclusion.

Whatever their conclusions were, the most common fact was the death of the City Lord. Making way for Blade, they shivered unconsciously.

Seeing this, Blade remained expressionless. Anyway, it didn't give him exp to kill ordinary humans any longer.

Tch!

Clicking his tongue in annoyance, he thought. 'I gained a measly two thousand exp from my previous slaughter.'

'The city lord probably accounted for 1,500 exp meaning, those below the Martial Lord realm, well at least Great Grand Masters, they only earn me 1 exp per kill.'

Thinking this, he frowned. This action caused those around him to flinch in fear. Thankfully for them, Blade's figure disappeared from their view.

"D-Demon!" A young woman stuttered as tears fell from her eyes. One of the many who were servants of the city lord was her mother, and her mother was in the city lord's mansion!

With his current appearance, it was highly likely that he had slaughtered everyone inside.

And, well, they weren't wrong. Soon, blood had piled up into a river as it streamed out of whatever cracks and holes there were in the manor.

...

...

In a spacious and luxurious quarter, a young man with long black hair tied in a ponytail sat on the floor with closed eyes and in a meditative posture.

His features seemed normal. He wasn't ugly yet he wasn't dashing either.

It was absolutely normal except for the symbol shaped like a flower etched on his forehead. It was colored crimson and released waves of vile energy.

Suddenly, the eyes of this figure shot open, revealing a pair of crimson eyes that slowly returned to their original color, a deep shade of black.

Opening his palm, the red space ring on his middle finger dimly lit up with crimson light, and right after, a green jade stone appeared.

As the stone rested on his palm, cracks formed on it. Slowly, he watched as the stone transformed into mere dust.

A light shot out of the stone and entered his eyes.

His expression remained unreadable even as scenes played out in his mind. Scenes of a certain City Lord and Peng Clan Master being ruthlessly and easily murdered.

These scenes slowly blew up into smoke as the young man closed his eyes for a moment. He reopened them, and a deadly killing intent rose before subsiding.

Sigh!

"Father, oh father, poor fellow." This young man revealed to be the city lord's son, continued. "Who is this boy? Killing my brother and my father, it could be said that he's done me a righteous favor."

Thrum!

His words were truly ruthless. Instead of burning with rage, he was saying something like this. If his dead father heard it, he surely would be rolling around in his grave... if he had a grave that is.

Rising to his feet, he landed on the ground and placed his hands behind his back. His robe was a deep black and so was his eyes and hair, he seemed detached from emotion.

Exiting the quarters, he appeared in a hallway. In one step, his surroundings twisted and spun crazily before he appeared in front of two large doors.

The doors were obsidian and at least four times his size with two females standing guard with a spear each in their left hand.

"Greetings master!"

The two guards dropped a knee and bowed to his newly appeared figure. Right after, as if sensing his arrival, the massive doors vibrated and opened.

Entering the room, he was greeted with the scene of hundreds or even thousands of skeletons that all knelt toward a flight of stairs that led up to a platform.

On this platform, a crimson-boned throne resided. Sitting with her eyes closed was a red-haired woman with demonic features.

Her beauty was top class and depending on one's tastes, they'll find the tall black demonic horn and short red demonic horn on each side of her head intensifying her beauty.

Her cherry red lips trembled slightly as she said in a monotone voice.

"Son, why have you appeared in front of me? I've not sensed any signs of a breakthrough!"

"Mother... father, and Xia were murdered." The young man replied to her without showing the least bit of fright.

Oh!

Similar to his reaction, she to did not show any surprise. Shockingly though, her lips stretched, forming into a demonic smile.

"Little Chu, aren't you happy?" She asked. Chu, Chu Peng smiled, showing emotions for the first time so far.

"A little, but I'm more surprised. Not by the deaths of those two though, their killer was an interesting fellow. He seems even younger than I."

His words surprised the woman and she raised an eyebrow.

"To kill that fool even with that broken sword, this young man should be at least a Martial King."

Chu Peng smiled, he said. "No, I think he's a Martial Emperor. At the very least, he's at the Pinnacle of the Martial King realm. He didn't just kill my father, he thoroughly played with his life..."

Saying this, Chu Peng waved his hand. Immediately after, scenes of what took place appeared above his head.

The woman opened her eyes, showing off a pair of crimson blood orbs. But, right after, her pupils shrank to the size of needles.

"What's the matter?" Seeing her reaction, Chu Peng was confused.

"This... That boy, I'm not mistaken! That boy is the same boy who I told you about a few months ago. This boy is Blade Pure-Heart..."

Thrum!

The room trembled. Chu Peng's aura escaped his body, sending shivers up the spines of the Martial Emperors outside the door!

"What did you say!?" Chu Peng's eyes gleamed with anger.

On the other hand, his mother smiled mysteriously and once more said.

"His name is Blade Pure-Heart. Just a few months have passed and yet, his strength has reached such a terrifying level."

"It also seems that the Limitless Sky Sect hasn't realized, otherwise, they won't allow him to exit the Sect. Fufu, I want him in my Heavenly Demon Sect now!"

Thrum!!

The Sect Master of the Heavenly Demon Sect..! The actual Heavenly Demon Sect, and not a mere branch Sect like in the continent of Demon's Playground.

Hearing her words, Chu Peng gritted his teeth. Within a breath's time, he said in a monotone voice.

"Mother, I'll be leaving for Forbidden Land 029 tomorrow. You once said that I should cultivate seriously and become a Mortal Sage before the Holy Lands appears."

Chu Peng was emotionless as he said this. His eyes stared at his mother with hidden emotions as he continued.

"When I am back from the Forbidden Land 029, I'll already be a Mortal Sage... I swear with the Heavens as my witness."

Thrum!!!

Such an oath. Once the oath wasn't fulfilled, his cultivation wouldn't just revert but he'll also cease to exist. Saying such a thing, normally a mother should be worried...

This concept would be true only if the mother was normal...!

"My son, unlike Xia the waste, your father's human blood and my Primal Demon blood have merged perfectly in your creation. You carry your mother's hope."

Her grin only widened as she said.

"Now that you're thirty-seven, I hope you cultivate seriously seeing as someone who most likely isn't from this world, has appeared to take away all the glory which was rightfully yours."

Gazing at her son's back exiting her throne room...

"I hope you'll claim the inheritance inside that Holy Land. Once you do, joining the Primal Demon Region wouldn't be a problem."

Thrum!
