Night Shivers

Alisson's heart pounded in her chest as she ran through the dense forest, her footsteps echoing through the stillness of the night. The only sounds were the rustling of leaves beneath her feet and the distant howling of a grey werewolf.

She had never been so scared in her life. She had ventured into the woods looking for a classmate, encountered a mythical creature who seemed to have a gentle side, and watched it have a brawl with another of its type, escape injured and then locked eyes with a massive, grey werewolf with piercing yellow eyes staring straight at her.

Without thinking twice, Alisson had taken off running. She didn't know where she was going, but she knew she had to get away from the monster that seemed to be hot on her heels. Her heart raced as she 'felt' the werewolf's breath on her neck, but she refused to slow down.

As she ran, she stumbled over roots and branches, but she quickly picked herself up and kept going. The moonlight filtering through the trees illuminated her path, but it also cast eerie shadows all around her. Alisson's eyes darted around, searching for a way out, but all she saw were trees and bushes.

The werewolf was relentless in its pursuit, and Coco could hear its heavy breathing behind her. She could feel its eyes burning into her back, and she knew that she had to find a way to outsmart the creature or risk being its next meal. She knew it was toying with her, trying to tire her out before delivering a finishing strike; it could have caught up with her but didn't.

Suddenly, she saw a glimmer of light in the distance. It was the opening of a cave. Without thinking twice, she veered off the path and darted towards the cave, hoping it would be her sanctuary.

As she ran, she could hear the werewolf growling and snarling behind her, but she refused to look back. Finally, she reached the entrance to the cave and quickly darted inside. The werewolf was just outside, but it hesitated at the entrance, eventually entering the dark, cramped space.

Alisson slumped down against the cave wall, panting and sweating. She had never been so afraid in her life, but she was grateful to have found a place to hide. She knew that the werewolf was still outside, waiting for her, but she hoped that it would eventually give up and leave her alone.

She was in for a shock as she saw a silhouetted creature make its way to her. She knew it was the werewolf, but seemed smaller as if it had reduced in size, but it still towered over her when it came to stand in front of her. It growled, showing off its razor-sharp teeth. She almost wet herself just from the sound of the werewolf and the colour of its eerie glowing eyes.

"This wasn't how I felt when the black werewolf was in front of me, it was almost like we knew each other. This one feels hostile."She thought to herself.

The werewolf left her in the dark cave making her release her breath she wasn't aware she was holding until now. She could hear the werewolf's receding steps. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the growling and snarling and sound of crunched leaves subsided, and Alisson knew that the creature had given up its hunt.

She waited a few more minutes to be sure that the werewolf was gone, and then she cautiously stepped out of the cave. The forest was silent once again, and the moon was high in the sky, casting a soft glow over everything.

With a sigh of relief, Alisson started to make her way back to civilization, grateful to have escaped the clutches of the terrifying werewolf. She knew that she would never forget this experience, but she was also grateful to be alive and well.

The school practice field was a sprawling expanse of well-manicured grass that stretched out, offering a welcoming respite from the sterile classroom environment that the students had grown accustomed to. The grass was a deep shade of green, and the texture was soft and lush beneath their feet as they walked out onto the field.

The field was framed by towering trees that stood sentinel around the perimeter, providing a sense of privacy and tranquillity. Beyond the trees, one could see the glimmering rooftops of the school buildings, but they felt like they were worlds away.

The field was alive with activity, with students scattered around, and engaged in various athletic pursuits. Some were playing soccer, while others were tossing a football back and forth. There was a sense of energy and vitality that permeated the air, with the sounds of laughter and shouts of encouragement ringing out.

Alisson sat on the bleachers looking fatigued with dark eye bags beneath her eyes. She had taken the day off like most of the female players with the excuse of staying up late due to the match. The coach, being in a celebratory mood didn't hesitate to grant them the break.

She was staring at Scott who unlike her, looked to be in a better condition. She had been wondering where he was last night and asked his friend, Stiles who was also as clueless as she was. He wasn't in class, due to the suspension, but she couldn't wait for practice time to see if he would come, and here he was as lively as ever.

'Where did you go last night?' she asked herself.

"... He then related the incident to me. You should see the place now, it looks battered, a shadow of its former self." Scott finished as he narrated everything he experienced when he left the match to Stiles, skipping the part from where he transformed till he woke up due to not remembering.

His friend didn't give him breathing space the moment he stepped into the field and stuck to him like a leech.

"Only after you tell me everything you remember will I leave you alone," Stiles had told him.

"He also told me about what happened to his family." Scott added to his narration."

"What happened, who caused the outbreak, was it like I explained?" Stiles asked, gaining attention from nearby sitters

"Hey calm down, yes it was like you explained to me," Scott said glaring at his friend.

"Sorry"

"You were also right about the hunter association."
