To his surprise and relief, when she was two meters away from the zombie, and just as it threw its arms forward to claw her, she sidestepped, lowered her body, grabbed the sword with both her hands and slashed at its waist.

The sword cut into the rags of clothes the zombie had on before leaving a deep gash on its abdomen, from which greenish blood oozed out.

Gaarr!!

The zombie let out a high pitched scream before throwing itself at her. Professor Nina, however, had already stood to her height and retreated.

Her breathing was a little rushed but steady, her gaze focused, she was completely calm. 

Luke nodded to himself while inwardly sighing in relief.

He then turned to Lisa, James and others, "Watch her every move carefully. It'll help you a lot when it's your turn."

Lisa and James nodded while Lori and Julia were too absorbed in watching Professor Nina to respond.
