Exploring the Village

"I'm hungry, is there a food shop here?"

"There's a tavern not far from the guild just walk straight and you will find it." The woman in the guild counter said.

There is a small tavern down the street, which seems to be serving food and drinks. They have a menu listed outside that advertises their specials for the day.

They are serving things like a lamb sandwich, a beef stew, and a chicken salad.

They also have a list of drinks and alcoholic beverages, with drinks ranging from simple water all the way up to expensive alcoholic wines.

They also have a few different options for dessert, there's a slice of apple pie or a couple of sugar cookies, which sounds quite delicious!

Zack walks inside the tavern, the smell of freshly-baked bread and sweet drinks lingering in the air.

There are a couple of adventurers sitting at the bar, and Zack feels the eyes of the patrons gazing at him as he go through the door.

He approach the bartender and order a chicken salad, along with a glass of water. The bartender nods their head, and then prepares his order, setting it in front of him on a tray.

The salad is perfectly cut and arranged, with a nice juicy piece of chicken smothered with creamy sauce and accompanied with some crunchy lettuce!

Zack finishes his meal at the tavern, the sweet smell of freshly-baked bread still filling his nose.

He felt a little bit tired, since the fight with the wolf monster left him exhausted, but the food and water was able to fill him up.

He goes out of the tavern and looks for a nearby shop.

Outside the tavern is a shop that seems to be selling clothing. There are simple clothes that are suitable for low-tier adventurers, and there are also higher-tier clothes as well which come at a much higher price point.

There is everything from shirts and pants, to jackets and cloaks, all in various styles for different tastes and requirements!

Zack eyes land on the cloak, it's a beautiful black cloak made of a fine wool that seems to radiate with magic! It's warm and lightweight, and it has a wide hood that seems to hide the face and body from the warmth of winter.

The only thing that could possibly make the cloak more perfect is the fact that there are some slight black and silver ornamentations which decorate the cloak.

The magic that he can sense from the cloak seems to only be in his current capability, but he can tell that it's been expertly tailored to fit his needs. It's worth an astounding 250 gold pieces!

"This is a fine cloak."

The shopkeeper smiles at Zack. "A very good choice my friend! That cloak will be excellent for keeping nice and warm in the cold weather. It's made of high quality wool that will be able to keep you hidden in the dark, and also radium with magic power."

The high silver and black decorations add a very nice touch to the quality, and they show that it's not a simple mass-produced cloak, but a cloak that has been carefully designed to be stylish and effective.

"We are very proud to be selling this here, and the price is 250 gold pieces!"

"I'll take it!"

The shopkeeper takes the gold, and hands him the cloak in exchange.

The cloak feels beautiful as Zack slips it on, it's warm and light while also feeling very durable.

He can feel the magic radiating off the hood and throughout the cloak. It has the effect of allowing him to hide in the darkness, as all of the shadows seem to hide his body, almost as if he were using an invisibility cloak.

There are also small pockets in the cloak where he can store items, they can be useful for his future adventures!

Zack leaves the shop and walks around the village for a while.

It is starting to get dark, and he starts to feel tired from the long day.

His new cloak keeps him warm and comfortable as he walks through the village and through the street until he reach the closest inn.

The inn is small and simple, but it looks clean and has a fireplace to keep the room warm.

Its design is simple and cheap, but it has everything he need. There is also an old barkeep that is sitting behind that counter, smoking on a pipe and giving a friendly smile as he looks towards Zack's way!

"Hello adventurer! Welcome to my humble inn."

"Hello to you too sir, how much for a one person room?"

"My prices are quite reasonable, only 5 gold a night! There are also much cheaper accommodations nearby, but personally I think there is no cheaper price than quality!" The old man says.

"The beds are quite comfortable, my pillows are soft, and there are even warm blankets and hot water in the morning. For 5 gold a night, you will sleep like a king!"

"I'll rent a room then."

The old man smiles and nods towards the end of the hall, "Your room is room 14! I'll be here in case you need anything, just let me know!"

Zack's feet are tired from today's adventures, and he feels as if he can barely keep his eyes open.

His bedroom has a door which leads to the main hallway, as well as a window with a view of the street.

The room is decorated with a few old paintings, and there is a bed which seems to be very comfortable, with many blankets and pillows available for him to use!

Zack removed his cloak and put it on top of a cabinet, he lay on the bed.

It turns out that the bed is even more comfortable than he expected, and his body slowly starts to relax into the warm soft bed as you fall into a deep sleep.

He closes his eyes and is soon lost to the darkness as his mind drifts away, slowly but surely losing consciousness and finally falling into a deep sleep.

He wake up the next morning feeling extremely refreshed and well rested. His mind feels sharp, and his body feels healthy as well. He is no longer tired, and are ready to take on a new day of adventure!
