Chapter 13

The night was warm, with few clouds on the sky. Moon, that sometimes was clearly visible, sometimes disappeared behind curtain made of clouds. The night was calm and silent, with occasional wind coming from the mountains.

On the mountainside was big fortress, with 15 meters tall walls, 6 towers along with 2 main gates, one directed toward South, while second in opposite direction, North. The place where fortress was built, was really well thought out. Because it was rocky terrain, aside from bushes that were at most one meter tall, there was nothing to hide behind. Also the whole structure was placed on a high point from where you could see whole area. To put it shortly, it was great defense point in itself, but the walls can't stop the enemy themselves, right? Soldiers that were supposed to take a watch on the walls, observe from the towers and guard the gates, were either drunk, asleep or were chatting between each other while smoking. They weren't focused on their jobs, because they were sure nothing would happen anyway. They were in the middle of their territory, with one more fortress several miles in front of them, a city behind and several outposts around that were formed in smaller towns or better surroundings.

"Waaaaa... I'm sleepy as hell. So, you are born Fallen or you fell?" Fallen Angel yawned and asked man next to him. Both were on duty on the walls, as that was their shift now.

"Haaaah, I told you like five times. I'm BORN fallen, remember that for fuck sake..." annoyed young Fallen replied, but he received smack on his head.

"Yeah yeah, shut up. I'm Middle-class, you Low-class trash. I can question you how much I want. Now, give me a cigarette, I lost my mood..."

"Tch...Here. But take one, I have only three lef- What is that?"

"Huh? What?" asked confused man.

"There, below, something moved on the right. Look closely. " Pointed Low-class Fallen. His friend leaned closer to have a better look, but he didn't saw anything.

"Either you are on high or have to sleep, I don't see anything... Holy shit!!" Man said with a frown. He didn't saw anything until clouds moved from the moon, illuminating the area. Few hundred meters from him, an army of several thousand soldiers was standing, eyeing the fortress.

"Quickly! Go aler- GAH!! "

Suddenly, he felt pain on his back and chest. Looking below he saw spear of light, with his blood flowing on it. His eyes widen and he touched the spear with disbelief. Slowly, man looked behind him and saw the same guy he wanted to take cigarettes from. He tried to say something, but his killer took out the spear, which made dying man spit a mouthful of blood. He fell on the ground, but before he died, he saw similar situation few meters away from him.

Young Fallen Angel looked to his right, seeing that another Rebel was dead, he nodded to man who stood above the corpse with something what looks like sword made of light. He raised his hand with spear and waved it three times, from left to right.

On the side of the army, Baraqiel nodded to himself. He raised his hand and swung it down. Whole army unfurled theirs black wings and spread around the fortress, encircling whole fortress. Baraqiel flew above the structure and created big Magic Circle. Hundreds of smaller Magic Circles appeared around Baraqiel's.

*Rumble*

*BOOOM!!*

In the next moment, powerful lightning ascended from the circle, along with hundreds rays of light, creating deafening explosion. It shattered the barrier that covered the fortress. Hundreds of Rebels were killed in that attack, due to them being in open space. Seeing that the barrier was destroyed, Baraqiel and his army started shooting at the Rebels that were in their sight.

"Aaagh!! My-my leeeeg!!"

"We are under attac-"

"Gather together!! Barrier! Make a barrier! GAH!!"

"Attack!! All of you attack!!"

"Fu-fuck that! I'm off! Run, if you want to live!"

On the side of the Rebels, you could describe that as a mass panic and chaos. They were taken by surprise and seeing that people in front of them were dying, they couldn't focus on what to do. Constant screams and small explosions didn't help either. Most of them never fought before, they didn't imagine their first battle like that. They expected treasures, beautiful women and slaughtered enemies. Not things like that! They didn't imagine lost limbs, holes in chest, burned bodies and pool of bloods in the same place where they were drinking and joking few minutes ago. Rebels weren't organized, nobody commanded them properly. Seeing that they might die, everyone thought of themselves, of how to survive.

On the other side, Grigori forces couldn't do any better. They used the basic strategy Razjeel thought them. They formed a several ranks, when everyone in the first rank shoot ten times, they moved aside and next rank started firing. When last rank shoot ten times, first rank started shooting again, the cycle repeated over and over again. Thanks to that, they saved their Magic and they could run a continuous fire without getting tired. It was simple, yet perfect strategy for Low and Middle-class, as they had small amount of Magic. Constant fire and high accuracy of shots easily broke the already low enemy morale.

"Hold fire!! Engage in close combat!!" Baraqiel ordered. They have to save their Magic as much as they could. Also, a little bit of close combat would be good for some soldiers, that what Baraqiel thought.

"YES, SIR!!" they shouted vigorously and charged at the enemy below. Still, almost half of them stayed in the air as the back up, if something unexpected happens.

Baraqiel was observing from beyond the battleground. He noticed that the Close Combat Trainings were really fruitful. In the last three weeks, or rather two months, Razjeel forced everyone to train their physical strength. He was really shocked that after 7 000 years people started depending more on Magic, forgetting about their own physical power. During whole training he didn't use any bit of Magic, using only his physical strength, even Baraqiel couldn't land a single hit on him. Even when other several High and Cadre Falle helped him. Razjeel explained to them, that there will be situations when they won't be able to use Magic. They could run out of it, Magic could be jammed by something, their opponent could absorb or be totally immune to Magic etc. There are many possibilities. In those situation, if they want to have other option than dying helplessly, they had to stop depending on Magic and focus more on something that won't let them down in crucial moments.

Fight last for around 40 minutes. Grigori soldiers didn't fought like Rebels, who only swung their weapons around, sometimes killing their own comrades. They worked together, they killed when they saw opportunity to, they created an opportunity to kill for others as well and retreated when they had to. Baraqiel remembered what Razjeel said hours ago.

°×°×°×°×°×°

In front of the Northern gate, Razjeel stood in front of the fifty thousand Fallen Angels. They stood in squads, five thousand each. In front of every division stood their commander. All soldiers had the same black leather armour, that helped them blend in dark surrounding. All of them had weapons for close combat like two and one-handed swords, sabers, daggers, axes, maces or short metal spears.

"Hear me out! In few hours the future of the Fallen Angels will be decided!! Shall we lose and drive ourselves to self destruction or shall we win and lead our race to new age, this will be decided today! I'm not good at this kind of speeches, to be honest. I'm not going to lie to you, we're outnumbered pretty badly. But we have something that they haven't!! A reason to fight! They fight for their own satisfaction and for wealth. But you! You have a families! Friends! Girlfriends and Boyfriends! You are fighting for your own future!! Look behind. You see this city? The houses with people, that are peacefully sleeping right now? You want to see this city on fire? Your friends and families getting killed?!!"

"NO!!!" shouted the crowd of Fallen Angels. Even few Commanders shouted as well.

"Then prove it to me! Defeat our enemies! Destroy them!! If you will face strong opponent, don't fight thoughtlessly!! Retreat, cheat, poison, stab in the back, do whatever you have to to survive!! Dead soldiers are of no use!! Every single one of you aren't allowed to die until you kill ten enemies each!! For those who survive! Round of best liquor on me!!"

"WOOOAH!!"

"Now go! I want to see full squads at the end of the day! Next instructions will be deployed by your Commanders!" he walked back to his division where he met with Baraqiel.

"Not bad speech, my Lord." he said with smile.

"Haaaah, stop making fun of me, I don't like this kind of stuffs." Razjeel responded with shrug and annoyed expression.

"But your speech was really good. Specially the part of a reason to fight."

"Huh? That? That was pile of bullshit. It's only a small motivation to make them more resolute."

"Huh? Why?" asked surprised Baraqiel. Razjeel looked around and scratched back of his head.

"If they will belive, that they are fighting for higher purpose, than just fighting for the money we need from Rebels or improvement of our relationships with other factions, then killing will come easier for them. They will have a reason to justify themselves. All wars are the same... No matter the purpose, place or time. It's only about killing and pain, nothing more, nothing less. It's better to let them justify themselves than dealing with remorse and other shit. In the end, most of them never killed anyone before."

Baraqiel was stunned for a moment. He wanted to say something, but he couldn't find any words. He found a truth in Razjeel's words, no matter the reason any war broke out, the war itself never changes. People will die anyway. Even if they justified themselves, that they fight for peace or any other "noble" reason, they'll have to kill anyway and live with knowledge that they took another person's life, killed someone's son, father, brother or husband. Dealing with that kind of thoughts is much worse than actually killing someone. People with weak mind tend to get insomnia, depression, sudden outbursts of anger or sting of remorse and so one. In the worst case scenario, they attempt to suicide.

Baraqiel looked at the departing figure of Razjeel. 'Sometimes, ignorance is a bless, huh?' thought Baraqiel. He jogged to catch up to him and depart with his division.

°×°×°×°×°×°

Back to the fortress.

Baraqiel's division secured whole place, deployed few squads outside the fortress to look, if enemy wasn't coming. They clean up the dead bodies, the corpses of Rebels were burned on spot, while those of Grigori were gathered together and covered with cloth, to burry them properly later. After searching the place, they found some supplies like food, water and medicine, also 2 chests with gold and gems. Baraqiel ordered that they should rest for 30 minutes, take care of their wounds and eat something.

At the center of the fortress, 16 Rebels were kneeling, 7 women and 9 men. Their wore handcuffs and had few superficial wounds. Baraqiel asked one of his officers who were those 16 people.

"We found them inside the main building, at the last floor, they were trying to escape via Magic Circle, but one of the shots damaged the formation. When they tried to fix it, me and my squad captured them. The burly man in the middle is the commander of this place and only High-class they had."

Baraqiel frowned slightly when he looked at the mentioned man. Commander who abandon his men isn't commander, but egotistical trash and coward.

"I understand, but still, order were clear. No prisoners." Baraqiel said with firm voice. Young officer was surprised and wanted to say something, but was interrupted by someone's voice.

"I see everything went well on your side, Baraqiel."

Both, Baraqiel and officer turned around. They saw owner of the familiar voice and immediately kneeled on the ground. In front of them was Razjeel. He wore black pants, leather shoes, along with shirt with V-cut and black coat that reached slightly below his knees. He was looking around and nodded to himself with approval. Soldiers standing on the walls, properly spent supplies, wounded treated in proper way, organized loot. Everything was as it should be.

"My Lord, it was simple task. I would be ashamed if I couldn't accomplish such a trivial task." Said Baraqiel.

"Yes, yes, but stand up. I'm not fancy of things like that. So, what's the situation?" Razjeel responded and started walking around, with Baraqiel next to him.

"It's really good, I'm surprised, to be honest. We killed eight thousand of Rebels, while losing only less than hundred and its in close combat. We have almost three hundred wounded, where fifty of them can't continue fighting. The fact, that it was surprise attack and enemy morale was low, played important role in this victory. Also Lord's help with surrounding outposts helped a lot. Without any reinforcements from outposts, we could focus solely on invading the fortress." He responded.

"Hmmm, it's not bad, considering the fact that 70% of them are Low and Middle-class, I guess. Well, we did a little better. We lost 50 men with no seriously wounded." Said Razjeel with slight shrug. He took a bottle of water from Fallen responsible for spending supplies.

"As expected from you, my Lord! But what about rest of outposts? Should we destroy them before going to the meeting point with other divisions?" Baraqiel asked, ready to give necessary orders anytime.

"Huh? But we destroyed them all already. Oh, look, it's getting light." He responded casually while taking a sip from the bottle and looked up at the brightening sky. Baraqiel stopped and opened his mouth slightly. He was astonished.

There was 7 big outposts in the area, with number of soldiers from at least 1000 to 2000 at max. That made seven thousand of soliders in total at least. Learning that five thousand people defeated seven thousand and lost only 50 men was unbelievable!!

"But how you did that in an hour? All outposts were distance from each other." asked Baraqiel after catching up with Razjeel.

"Easily. We gathered them in one place. We let them alert others and asked for reinforcements. Before reinforcements arrived, we dealt with previous Rebels and set an ambush. Lady Luck had to smiles to us, as it's turned out that all outposts sent reinforcements, except fortress as you were besieging it. And of course that bastards were that eager to fight, that they came with all of their's men, leaving only dozens to guards their bases." Razjeel finished with snort. He couldn't believe in stupidity of his opponents.

"So, who are they? Why are they alive?" he asked, walking closer towards the prisoners.

The captured commander was looking for the opportunity to flee. He wanted to rush past the soliders, while using his subordinates as a distraction. He lied to them, that they will manage to escape, if they took one of the officers as the hostage. They saw few walking around, while checking some things. But in reality, he wanted to use his subordinates as bait, while he will ran as fast as he could in the opposite direction. He believed that, if they saw they get a hostage, they'll ignore him and focus on rescuing the hostage. He was somehow confident in this plan and was about to give a signal, when he saw two men walking to them. But when he looked in the eyes of black haired man, he couldn't move.

"I gave orders, no prisoners, no exception." His voice was cold, as were his eyes, that made 16 prisoners tremble. Rebels commander never felt such a presence before. Razjeel raised his hand and green flame gathered on his palm. Tears welled up in commander eyes, he was shivering in fear.

"N-No, please no! I beg you!" Begged man.

"P-please! Please!! Spare me!! I, I can be your serva- no! I can even be your sex-slave, but please, don't kill me!!" Cried one of the woman in the group. Razjeel looked at her with disgust.

"In your dreams. Your are not in my type"

"Wait!! Nooo!!"

*Whoosh*

Wave of green flames rushed out from Razjeel's hand and covered all prisoners. They screems ended in the same moment when fire covered their bodies, burning them to nothingness. It only took few sedonds. Heat generated from that wave made even Baraqiel uncomfortable. When he thought of facing that flame, he wasn't confident at all. Surrounding Fallens were looking at whole situation with slight fear. That was second time they saw that green fire and were afraid of it.

"Okay, secure supplies, finish treatment of the woundeds and gets ready to go. I'll leave 30 people from my Division to secure the fortress till reinforcements from the capital arrive, leave those who can't move here, healers from capital will take care of them. In ten minutes we set off to the city on the East and secure another fortress on the way." Razjeel said and walked away to contact Azazel to inform him that region was secured.

"Yes, my Lord!" Baraqiel bowed and also walked to prepare his troops.

°×°×°×°×°×°

Razjeel and his Division, along with Baraqiel's 2nd Division, arrived to the previously determined point. It was on the small hill, from where whole city was visible. Razjeel was thinking about strategy, but area where city was located didn't allowed to attack any other way than frontal. Waiting for two hours, scouts, that Razjeel dispatched to keep soldiers busy and to not let them relax, informed that 10 thousand Rebels exited the city and are heading towards the city that 3rd and 4th Divisions were besieging.

'10th, 9th and 8th Division reported in last message, that they reunited with 3rd and 4th, and are besieging the city together right now. Kokabiel is probably commanding all Divisions and knowing him, he didn't left anyone as the rearguard and sent everyone to the assault. 7th, 6th and 5th Division are on their way, but they are too far away, they will not make it on time. We have to intercept their reinforcments before they reach the city.'

"Give me a map, quick!" Said Razjeel.

One of his officers gave him a detailed map of the region. He quickly scanned the map and found what he was looking for. Twelve miles from the city was a valley, formed between two mountains, with forest on both sides. The only safe path was running through that valley. A perfect place for ambush!

"Baraqiel!! Your Division will stay here while mine will ambush Rebel's reinforcments. Observe the city and remain on standby." Razjeel explained quickly. He was in hurry, because he had to take the right positions to made ambush successful.

"But what, if they sent another troops? There are lot of Middle-class and High-class. It's only 12 miles, it will take them 30 minutes at most to arrive there." asked Baraqiel.

"That's why I told you to be on standby. This is what I plan to do. First we will...." Razjeel started explaining his plan to Baraqiel. Baraqiel's eyes started gaining a strange light as Razjeel kept talking. At the end he smiled slyly and nodded to his Lord.

"Just wait for my signal and everything should go easy."

"Hm, I will not let you down." Baraqiel nodded and said firmly.

"Haah, can you stop being so seri- no, never mind. We set off." Razjeel sighed and walked toward his Division.

°×°×°×°×°×°×°

"Commander, we report that everything is ready, we awaiting your orders!" Reported vice-commander of 1st Division.

"Okay, good job. Now, go on the other side and wait for enemies." Responded Razjeel.

"Yes!" He said and left.

They managed to arrive at the ambush place thanks to the shortcut. When Razjeel saw surrounding he was pleasantly surprised. It's turned out that both Mountains had many flying beasts, that took both mountains as their territory. The worst were wyverns, that attacked everything and everyone they found in the air, making traveling on the ground the only way to quickly travel through the valley. Also the forest was very dense, which helped to hide his troops.

He divided his Division in two. First unit, with 3500 soldiers, get orders to attack the enemy first, using longe range attacks. When enemy will focus and attack the first unit, second unit, under Razjeel's command, will attack from the other side, forcing enemy to fight on two fronts. Razjeel was confident in his plan, because he ordered to trap the enemy inside the barrier and only then, open fire. Razjeel sensed presence of huge group of living beings, few hundreds meters away from his position.

"Oh, they are coming. Get ready!!"

Few seconds later, ten thousand Rebels descend from the sky. They were in visible hurry, judging by their fast moves and tense expressions. Hundred Rebels formed frontguard, as they were moving around hundred meters ahead of the main unit. Razjeel waited till they moved further, ignoring them, as he focused on the core of this army. When they formed a dense column and started moving forward, Razjeel gave a signal. In the next moment, several dozen, skilled in Barriers, Fallen Angels casted wide, but short Barrier, successfully trapping the Rebels.

"Huh? What is tha-"

*Whoosh* *Whoosh*

*Whoosh*

Rain of spears and arrows made of light, fell on the army of the Rebels.

"Aargh!! We are under- Gah!!"

"Move!! Spread out!!"

"Where is the ene-!"

"We, we can't move further!! We are trapped!!"

First unit didn't even aimed carefully. Rebels were standing really close to each others, so they focused more on fire rate than actual shots accuracy. Someone may think, why they didn't broke the barrier and counterattack? Well, try to come up with a plan when you are under fire, with people screaming and dying around. The soldiers that formed a barrier, didn't attacked enemy with others. They kept filling barrier with their Magic to keep it stable and trap enemies as long as possible.

The duck hunting continued for 5 more minutes. When majority of Low-class and Middle-class died, Razjeel saw that Rebels finally calmed down and started thinking. High-class Fallens made a smaller barrier inside the one that they were trapped in. Commander gave an order to stop shooting and shouted loudly enough for the Rebels to hear, to retreat. They deactivated the barriers and started moving towards the mountain.

Rebels commander was furious, seeing that almost three thousand of his soldiers were dead. When he heard that his enemy wanted to retreat, he ordered to chase them, as he felt humiliated that he lost soldiers without killing a single one of the enemy. But when they got closer toward the forest, only 50 meters away from the first tree, another volley of light spears flew at them, killing those at the front. Just after the volley ended, three thousand soldiers rushed at the stunned Rebels. It took a moment for them to realize that enemy took the initiative and attacked first. That could be only a moment, but on war, a single moment can cost someone his live, like Rebels at that moment. All remain army focused on the enemy that exited the forest. They were fighting on the ground and in the air, but not to high to not provoke beasts on the mountains.

A spark flashed through Razjeel's green eyes, he was waiting for that moment! Without a sound, they moved on the edge of the forest and dashed at the opened backs of the enemies. Razjeel was at the same front of his army, he didn't plan to stay on the back and watch from afar. He created simple spear with his green flame, with 170cm shaft and 40cm blade and threw himself at the enemy with full speed. Few Rebels heard something behind them, but when they turned around, they were only able to see a black blur passing by them before their heads fell on the ground.

Razjeel didn't stayed in one place, he was moving all the time. Wherever he appeared, people were dying. Just after him, 2nd unit clashed with enemies. They managed to kill many of them before enemy realized that they were attacked from both sides, but when they did, they started putting more resistance. On the other sides, Razjeel was like unstoppable beast, killing on left and right. He prioritized stronger enemies, like High-class and enemy commander, the only Cadre Fallen he sensed. He saw him in the middle of his army, surrounded by his guard and shouting orders and insults at his subordinates. Grabbing his spear little harder, he dashed for enemy leader's head, wanting to totally broke enemy's morale.

Rebel's commander was about to threw another insult, but he was struck by sudden pressure. He lost his breath and flinched, his back were drenched in cold sweat. He knew what was that... It was killing intent and he never felt such powerful lust for blood. Looking around for the source of sudden pressure, he spotted a single man massacring his soldiers.

"Everyone!! Stop that man!! Bring me his head and I will give you whatever you want after the battle!!! You too!! Go and get him!!! " he shouted, wiping sweat from his forehead and ordered his guards to also stop Razjeel.

Surrounding soldiers quickly rushed at Razjeel without any plan. They wanted to kill him quickly and provide themselves some nice bonus after the battle. But unfortunately for them, what awaited them was afterlife. Four men jumped in front of Razjeel. He took a wide swing, cutting them in half. Suddenly, he felt someone aiming at his back. He spun around and slashed man's throat. Moving a step backwards, he avoided a Light Spear, that impaled few Rebels on his right. On his left, were five High-class Fallens with Magic Circles in front of them. Razjeel smiled slightly and dashed at them, disappearing from their sight. Their eyes widen when he suddenly appeared in front of them. They panicked and tried to avoid incoming slash, dispersing formed Magic Circles. Razjeel beheaded two Fallens, made a spin and thrusted his spear, piercing third one's heart. He grabbed the end of the shaft, increasing his reach, and lowered his stance. In the same moment another Light Spear passed above his head. Razjeel tore out his spear from dead enemy and made quick slash at enemy legs, cutting them off. He moved past falling man and before he could hit the ground, spear's blade disconnected his head from the rest of his body. Last High-class thought that he could escape from Razjeel, but suddenly, flame javelin pierced his back, killing him on spot. All that happened in least than 10 seconds.

His allies that spectated whole thing from the sky, were shocked by what they saw. The speed he displayed, precision of his attacks, swiftness of his moves, his reaction time, everything they saw, was above what they ever experienced. For them, he looked like a fish in the water, like he was finally in the place he was born to be, on the battlefield.

Enemies around Razjeel became wary of him and made circle around him, with some space between them and him. Razjeel cracked his neck and said loudly.

"Around hundred more of you and maybe I would warm up. Please, don't make it too easy." He smiled ridiculously, taunting Rebels.

Few more prideful Fallens were provoked by his statement and rushed at him, with anger painted on their faces. Razjeel easily blocked three swords with his spear, using only one hand. He didn't even budged from his place. Three attackers widen their eyes. Three of them were High-classed Fallens, with few steps to become Cadre, but that man blocked their combined attacks. Even more, he looked disappointed!! One of the Rebels shouted suddenly.

"Quick!! Get him now!!!" Group of Fallens rushed at him with their weapons.

"Haaaah, you know I'm not deaf, idiots?" He sighed with bored expression.

With spear in his left hand, blocking three swords, he directed his right hand toward the incoming enemies. Clueless Rebels were suddenly struck by saddening realization, when stream of green flames gushed out from his palm. Strange fire devoured everything on it's path, without leaving even ashes. They didn't even scream when they died. Everyone were frozen in their places, Rebels along with Grigori forces. Everyone witnessed the power of Razjeel's ability to conjure the green fire, as it was really eye catching due to its color. Also disappearance of over hundred enemies couldn't went unnoticed.

Razjeel used this opportunity to kill three High-class Rebels. He tilted his spear slightly, making the swords hit the ground and throw the spear to his right hand. The Rebels were threw out of balance and Razjeel used that. He kicked first one on the head, cracking his skull, after a half spin he kicked second on the neck, breaking it and thrusted third one right between his eyes. Everything in swift and agile motion.

He looked for the Rebels commander, wanting to end that already. He spotted him in the same place, looking at him with fear.

*Boom*

*Crack*

Razjeel disappeared from where he was standing, leaving cracked ground with small explosion behind. Rebels felt something on his face. He opened his eyes wide, when he realized that he was grabbed by someone's hand. With corner of his eye, he saw Razjeel, staring at him with cold, emerald eyes.

*Boom!! *

*CRACK!*

"GAAAH!!!"

Razjeel slammed him on the ground with powerful force. Ground cracked in the radius of 15 meters and generated shockwave, that pushed away people who were close enough. Commander spat out blood, because all his organs were devastated by the impact.

"Well, I wanted to see how strong you are, but after seeing that you even couldn't react to that, I lost my interest. And reinforcements you called are getting closer, so I should end it quickly. By the way, it's ironic for reinforcements to call for another reinforcements, isn't it? Hahaha." He chuckled lightly, but for Rebel's commander, it was like the death was laughing at him. Tear ran down his cheek. '..... Fuck... ' In the Next moment, his body was covered by green flame. He died without feeling anything. Except pain from broken spine, ribs, shattered hipbone, pierced lungs, smashed liver and few others smaller injuries.

Razjeel stood up and rotated his arms. Remaining soldiers of Rebel's army were at their breakdown. Losing a commander was always a big hit for any army. After they lost they fighting spirit, they deaths were only a matter of time.

Suddenly, from where Rebel's first army arrived, another, smaller army was coming. That were reinforcements about which Razjeel was talking earlier. They were smaller than first army, but still had seven thousand troops. They formed Magic Circles and send missiles at Razjeel's army, disregarding their own people that were fighting with his soldiers. Razjeel unfurled his wings and flew in the sky. He infusing spear in his hand with more Magick and threw it toward the incoming, made of Light, missiles. When his Fire Spear almost met with first Light Spear, Razjeel closed his palm.

*Boom!*

*Whooosh!!*

Loud explosion spread around the area, stunning everyone on the battlefield. Sphere of green flames appeared between Razjeel and incoming army. Thousands of Spears, Rays, Javelins and Arrows made of light dissappeared thanks to only one spear. One, single spear!! Enemies quickly snapped out from shock and prepared for the battle. They landed on the ground, as Razjeel did, a hundred meters from him and formed a formation, with shooters at the back and infantry at the front. But Razjeel did something that confused them. Instead of getting ready for fight, he smiled widely and puts his hand in the pockets.

"You knew that Lightning strike waaay faster than we can see it??" He shouted.

"What are you... " One of the Rebels shouted back, but Razjeel only pointed with his finger above their heads. They looked up and were stunned. Above them was huge Magic Circle, with at least 30 meters in width. Next moment a yellow lightning struck the center of the reinforcements, killing many of them. They wanted to move and spread out, but like the previous army they were stuck in the barrier. But this time, volley of Spears didn't come. Instead of that, whole area under the barrier lighten up by insane amount of yellow Magic Circles. They started shining brighter and brighter, until...

*BOOOOOM!!!*

Deafening explosion shook the whole area, even the mountains shook, making few rocks fell from the top. Razjeel had to cover his eyes, because explosion was too bright. From 7000 troops, only around 1000 somehow survived. They wanted to flee, but from the side of the forest, 3000 thousand of Fallen Angels rushed out on them. They were of course from 2nd Division, under Baraqiel's personal lead.

All was according to Razjeel's plan. Back in time, before he set off to set an ambush, he explained everything to Baraqiel. While his 1st Division will ambush the first army that exited the city, part of Baraqiel's Division will wait on standby, observing, if they sent another reinforcements to save the first army. If they didn't sent anyone, they had to sat on theirs butts and waited for Razjeel's return, but if they did sent reinforcements, they had to inform Baraqiel's about that ASAP. He will set another ambush by making trap with explosive Magic Circles and his Holy Lightning. All they had to do, was to wait for Razjeel's signal which was that sphere made from green fire.

After 20 minutes, all Rebels were killed. Baraqiel went toward Razjeel and informed him, that everything here is done. Razjeel flew in the air and said loudly.

"Take our Fallen comrades! We are going back to the previous point! All I want say is that you did a great-fucking-piece of job!! But don't get relax, thing will get harder from now on. For now, we will wait for 5th, 6th and 7th Division. Till they arrive, get rest, you will need that."

Yeah, another chap!! The longest ever! I was really tired writing this so I didn't even check for any errors, sorry for that.

And I'm sorry for bad quality of describing the battle and whole war process so far, I'm not experienced with writing big scale conflicts. I read about many, but reading and writing about it is huge difference.

As for the Poll, so far Scathach wins and I'm surprised about Gabriel, I added her at the end but she raised up to 3rd place hahaha.

Hope you enjoy this chap!!
