3 years later

The three years were both short and long.

For me however it was too short.

How can 21 months be so long?

I never thought that just 21 months would feel longer than 6 years of trainee life.

I used to help out at my grandmother's store and get a part time job as soon as I became an adult.

It was because I didn't want to be burden to my grandmother, so at that moment I thought a part time job would be best.

I also thought about my career path at that time.

Since becoming an idol, which had been my dream since childhood, was not come true, I wandered for a while and finally revised my future hopes.

The composer.

Perhaps it was something I inherited from my parents, who were instrumentalists, but I had a musical talent of my own, and I chose to become a composer to make use of it.

If I can't be an idol, wouldn't it be okay to make idol music?

I also had this thought.

I thought it would be a great career path to start as a composer and eventually move on to becoming a producer.

That's why I prepared for the college entrance exam.

I thought that to become a composer, it was essential to enter a good music college.

Of course, preparing for the CSAT was not easy at all.

There are many obstacles.

This is because studying for the qualification exam and college entrance exam was a huge obstacle for me as I was obsessed with idols for 6 years and neglected my studies.

Two years of study started with the mindset of starting over from scratch.

After going through countless workbooks and mock tests, all that was left was the CSAT.

Winter 2013. today.

Now, three years after leaving the company, I, Raj Morningstar, a 21-year-old, was a student about to take the college entrance exam.

Cold weather with breath coming out.

It was a moment when I understood the saying that it suddenly gets cold every year on the day of the college entrance exam.

eww. cold.

I was walking down the street, browsing the Internet on my new smartphone that I had gotten.

It's still early morning.

It was a time when the street lights were still shining.

[Who is the star taking the CSAT today?]

When I click on an article in the entertainment section of the portal, I see familiar faces.

TNTN Adrian Blackthton, Lavli Rose Emma Watson, etc.

The faces I had seen coming and going from MJ Entertainment were lined up on the screen.

These are all familiar faces.

Among them, the one that caught my eye was TNTN's Adrian Blackthton.

TNTN.

After I was fired and members were added, TNTN debuted right away.

The result was a huge success.

It wasn't just a success, it was a huge hit.

That year, they won all the awards, including the Rookie of the Year award, and were labeled as the best new idol of all time.

Honestly, I didn't know it would do that well.

Well it has nothing to do with me anyway.

I took a long deep breath and looked at the hill in front of me.

Is it because it snowed yesterday?

There was ice on the hill leading up to the test site.

How do I climb this?

I was in a state of confusion for a moment and turned my head when I heard a strange sound.

Rattling-!

It was the sound of a manhole cover hitting a wheel.

The old man pushing the cart car was struggling to go up the hill.

Is it because they are similar in age?

That old man looked similar to my grandmother in Delhi.

Although I was going up the hill with difficulty, I was saddened by the sight of me swaying every time the wind blew.

Should I help him?

As it was early morning, there was plenty of time to check in. I checked the electronic watch I had been using and nodded.

If possible, I should receive blessings.

You might not know.

I wonder if a high person in heaven will look at me and give me a blessing, saying,

'You're a pretty nice guy.'

Thinking about that, I smiled cheerfully.

"Mister."

"… … ."

"Mister."

"…Are you calling me?"

The weak voice returned.

"Are you having a hard time? I have some time left, so I'll take you to the end of the hill."

"You want to help me?"

"yes."

"You look so thin and weak."

"Do not worry. Even though I look like this, I do work out daily and go to gym to." I said as I took the hold cart car.

The moment I grabbed the handle of the carr car and pushed it, I realized something was wrong.

"… what?"

"Why are you not pushing it?"

"It's nothing, haha!"

Although I was smiling on the outside, I was sweating coldly inside the padding.

Is the weight real?

I soon realized two shocking facts.

"… … ."

I thought it was there just a cardboard box inside of cart car, but it turned out that it was full of junk like radios and discarded home appliances.

The second thing was that the muscles in the grandfather's arms as he pushed the wheelchair were alive and breathing.

Plus, the bulky calves that are revealed every time the pants flap.

I felt embarrassed that I had acted so foolishly on someone who could easily do it on his own.

"This is very heavy, It looked light."

The old man burst into laughter.

"Hahah...Oh my, young man. Is there anything easy in this world?"

"You are correct, there is nothing easy in the world."

"This isn't something anyone can do. You have to have know-how."

"For how long have you doing this?"

I was out of breath so I couldn't say anything.

"I've been doing it my whole life."

"Huh, huh... You are amazing."

A proud smile appeared on the old man's face.

"I sent my son to college with this... Oh my, have you lost all your strength already? How can a young person be like this? Didn't you said you work out everyday and go to gym?"

Old man said with mocking tone, A tick mark appears on my forehead as I gritted my teeth and puch cart car with all my might.

When the car finally reached the top of the hill, I held my knees.

Wow, this is crazy.

Steam came out from inside the padding, and beads of sweat ran down his sideburns.

One lesson I learned today.

Never undrsmit a cart car again.

"Thank you, young man. It didn't help, but you have a very kind heart. You looks nice too."

The old man said with kind smile on his face, however, i didn't have strength to reply him as I was taking a deep breath.

After a moment of silence the old man opend his mouth again

"Where are you going now, young man?"

"I'm going to take a test at the school in front of me." When I could finally breath properly, I said as I pointed the school not far from here.

"Oh, CSAT?"

"yes."

"Oh my, the test taker worked hard to help this old man."

I felt warmth as the old held my hand tightly.

"You did a good job, so I hope that you passed the exam."

"thank you."

It doesn't seem like I helped much, but it was rewarding.

I exchanged warm words with the elderly man, bowed my head in greeting, and walked towards my destination.

It was soon the entrance to the testing center.

However, as I was walking while massaging my sore shoulders, I had no choice but to turn my gaze to the strange sound again.

Buaaang!

It was a car speeding in the distance whithout any hint of slowing down.

...And it's destination was the old man that I was with until now.
