18 Identity revealed(part 1)

As Kai returned to the Inn with Alfred, they saw Bolt and Tiraka standing at the inn door, looking towards the east in fear and worry.

Seeing Kai and Alfred, they relaxed. Then townspeople hurried towards Alfred.

"Townlord, there were sounds of fighting coming from the east. Do you know what is happening?" Bolt asked anxiously. 

Seeing Bolt's and Tarika's worried expressions, Kai and Alfred turned to look at each other. It seemed like their duel had gotten the whole town worried.

"Don't worry. It was just a small magic duel between the kid and me." Alred said as he pointed at Kai.

When Alfred pointed at Kai, Bolt, Tarika and the townspeople looked at him with astonishment.

Magic users were rarely seen in this far away place, as the elites generally stayed at the capital.

Tarika and Bolt looked at Kai in astonishment

'Is this the reason he is feeling conflicted inside. Our son is now a magic user but he cannot explain how he became one; afterall eleven years ago. Townlord Alfred himself said that Kai can never become a magic user.'

Town people through about, the town lord. He was also a very powerful magic user, no one knew why he chose to come to this remote place.

Kai's appearance was just above average. He did not have the air of an elite or the pride, adding on the fact that his clothing didn't match his size, he looked just like a country side village boy.

Alfred interrupted their thoughts as the town people sized up Kai.

"Relax, Mr. Kai is a Magic Master and is as strong as me." Alfred told the townspeople.

Alfred looked sideways at Tarika and Bolt who had a joyful expression on his face.

"Tarika, Bolt, Kai, meet me after you guys finish eating. We have to talk." saying that Alfred took his leave and went to the town hall.

Seeing the townlord leaving the townspeople also started dispersing

"Come, Kai, breakfast is ready, but before that, take a bath," Tarika said that as she entered the inn with a look of sadness followed by Bolt.

Nobody noticed, but Kai saw the look of joy in Tarika's eyes when Alfred said he was a magic user. He entered the inn thinking about it.

After taking a bath and eating breakfast, Kai went outside when it was already 8 am.

The streets were full of children playing with each other, while their mothers were busy with their day to day life.

When noticing Kai, the children started to look at him curiously and surrounded him. 

A small curly black-haired girl with a red dress asked, "Mister, Mister, I heard that you are a magic user. Can I become one?"

Look at the little girl, Kai smiled. "Yes, you can. As long as you have a magic channel, you can become a magic user."

As time flew by without knowing, Kai answered the children's questions just as Lapor answered his questions when he was their age.

"Kai, come, we have to go to the town hall." Bolt called out to Kai, who was answering questions.

"Oh! I didn't realise it's already 10. Let's go." Kai said and followed Bolt and Tarika to the town hall.
