Chapter 9 - The Kaimog Dragon

1 DAY LATER

"We're actually doing it... we're gonna kill the dragon" Collin said to Tidus.

Tidus filled his backpack with arrows "Yeah"

"Do you maybe think... we could run away?" Collin asked.

Tidus stops packing "What are you talking about?"

"I... I don't know.. it's just that... we might die risking our lives to kill the dragon" Collin explained himself.

"You're right" Tidus stood up and walked to Collin "But it's for a good reason.. People are dying because of this monster" Tidus says.

"So.. our death is for a good cause?" Collin asked.

"Yes.. but if you want to run away to save your own life... then go ahead" Tidus spoke out "I love this town.. so I'm gonna do everything in my power to save it, even if I die"

"I see... me too!" Collin changed his mind about running away "I won't be a baby and run away! I will join you guys to fight the kaimog dragon! I will risk my life for Izuzunu! Even if it means I'll die!"

"Good" Tidus smiles as he goes back to packing.

"Yeah.. Good" Collin grabs his bow and puts it in his backpack.

Mikey and George are back at their house "I think I'm ready" George said to Mikey.

"Alright, let's head to Jun and them already" Mikey said.

Everyone says their goodbyes to their loved ones as they're leaving to the Kaimog Dimension.

"Goodbye, mom and dad" Eungi hugs his parents.

Jun smiles "Never knew you had parents"

Eungi laughs "Yeah?" he laughed "We've known each other for over a month now"

Jun nervously smiles.

"Hey Jun!" Melanie shouted as she smiles "I'm ready to kick the Kaimog Dragon's butt!"

Jun laughed "Hahahaha! I'm so sorry Melanie, but this is up to the big kids only"

"Aww! Why can't I go!?" Melanie pouts.

"It's too dangerous. We're fighting a huge dragon today. I'm sorry but I can't take this risk" Jun said.

"He's right" Kayla joins the conversation "You have to stay home, okay Melanie?"

"Yeah, I guess" Melanie sadly said "But.. what if you guys don't make it back?"

"We will" Jun said.

"But what if you don't?" Melanie asks again.

"We will.. And when we do come back, let's drink some sodizu together!" Jun shouted smiling.

"Yeah!" She exclaimed.

"Promise?" Melanie holds her pinkie out.

"Yes, I promise... whatever that means" Jun promises Melanie, locking pinkies.

"Alright... who's ready to go?" Jun stood up, all prepared, like a brave warrior going into battle, wearing the painted diamond armor set with all white, red squares, and circles symbolizing Izuzunu, like the flag.

"I am" They all said together.

"Thanks for making this for me... and everyone in this group, Eungi" Jun said to Eungi as he put on his armor.

"No problem" Eungi replied "I'm the best blacksmith after all"

"Then... let's go" Jun lead the team.

RISE OF IZUZUNU

VOLUME 1, CHAPTER 9, THE KAIMOG DRAGON

SOUTH OF LAKE UHATO, 3 DAYS LATER

Jun brought along some other druzels with him too. He brought five of them and gave them armor and weapons.

"I think we've been traveling for so damn long" Kyle says.

"You think?" Edison asked.

It's been a few hours since they left Izuzunu. They're all on their horses, exhausted.

"I'm so tired!" Chloe shouts.

"Are you sure the map is showing us the directions?" Edison asked.

"Yes, it should" Eungi says.

"I think we're above it" Jun said.

The map shows the same area they're at; a huge lake which is north of them, Lake Uhato.

"Rex? What's wrong?" Summer notices a druzel with blue and black auras covering Rex's arms.

"Ah!" Rex screams out loud.

"Rex!" Jun shouted as he helps Rex up.

"Ah! It burns! It burns!" Rex loudly screams.

"What do we do!?" Jun yelled.

"I don't know!" Eungi yelled back.

Eungi holds Rex's hand "It's going to be okay.. it's going to be okay" Eungi's tears were visible as Rex slowly dies.

"Rex?" Eungi checks if Rex was still with them.

"Rex!?" Eungi shouted as Rex disappears with the blue auras.

The members were devastated by the death of Rex. The Kaimog Dragon took another life away. Jun sat there looking sad and angry.

"Was it the dragon again?" Mikey asked.

"Yes" Eungi says sadly.

"Let's hurry" Jun says as he gets up from the ground and start digging straight down with a shovel.

"Alright" The team says.

"I'm ready to end this dragon's life" Summer says.

Eungi wipes his tears away, along with the rest "Me too!"

Digging straight down they hit a metal wall "The portal!" George says out loud.

They're only a couple meters down.

He grabs his pickaxe and attempts to break through it, but it was too strong. Kyle grabs the pickaxe and begin hitting and hitting and hitting until it makes a little hole.

"Guys! Help!" Kyle said to the rest as they all begin wacking at the metal wall until finally breaking in.

"Alright guys, focus up. We're here" Jun said.

They all come inside to see the portal room and sees another door connected to another room.

"Now, all we gotta do is-..." A zombie was heard from the door.

"Zombies! Everybody! Fight!" A druzel shouted as the zombies bursts through the metal door.

As the druzels were fighting, the zombie grabs them and sends them into a wire in the room, which "Boom!" "Boom!" The druzels accidentally set off traps.

Two druzels got caught with the explosion and instantly dies.

"Noo!!" Tidus shouts and kills all the zombies.

They breathe heavily as they turn around to look at the portal.

"Woah" They all said.

"Thanks, Eungi" Jun thanked Eungi for helping them find the kaimog portal "Without you.. we would've never been able to do this"

"Yeah" Eungi replied.

"Yeah.. I got it" Jun slowly walks to the portal on the wall.

A red portal that looks exactly like the poxus portal, but with kaimog skulls around it's frame.

"Any last words?" Edison asks.

"Yeah.." George says "I hope we survive this together! And my pet dogs, I wish them well"

"I want to wish us all luck!" Mikey exclaimed.

"We will survive this together and I know it" Kyle makes a statement.

"Yes, if I die, I want to leave my animals to Kayla" Chloe said.

"Thank you" Kayla replied "I will also like to not die"

"I will give Collin and Edison take all my money" Tidus said.

"Same" They both said.

"I will hope for all of us to survive this fight. Altogether. And hope to meet my uncle one day and tell him that I've fought the dragon" Summer made her last words.

"I hope this dragon dies and never takes the lives of innocent people anymore" Eungi said.

"Well... I think it's time we show the dragon who's boss" Jun said "Goodluck"

Jun thought about Melanie "I will come back" Jun looks up at the kaimog's skull and remembered all the times he's spent with all his friends and making this country together.

Jun surprised "This is it... the Kaimog Dimension" he said as they all jump inside.

THE DARK DIMENSION

"Woah!" They all screamed as they fall onto the ground in the middle of an island surrounded by water.

Slowly standing up "Are we here" Kyle asked.

The skies were black and and covered with clouds, the ground they stood on was made of sand. Lightning strikes white in the sky.

"Welcome to the Kaimog dimension" Edison said.

They hear a roaring in the distance. It was as loud as a train can be.

"Aah!" They all covered their ears.

"I see that all of you arrived early" The Dragon spoke in a monstrous deep voice.

"What?... it can talk?" Jun whispers.

"Yes! I can talk!" The dragon talks again.

"Kaimog Dragon.... Your time has come to an end!" Jun says as he looked up at the sky; looking at the dragon at the distance.

The other members do the same.

"No... it is your time to die" The dragon said as he roars through the sky.

"Then why not just kill us right now then, huh? Use your stupid soul abstracter powers!" Kyle shouted.

"Are you stupid!??" Edison shouted.

"No" Eungi stops them from fighting "The dragon can't take anybody's life away if they're in his land.. So he can't abstract our soul"

"Alright, are you guys ready?" Jun asks.

"Yes" They all shouted.

"Alright.... let's go!" Jun shouted as they all began swimming to the island the dragon was at.

Making it to the island, which wasn't that far, they began running through the island with their bow and arrows aiming at the dragon.

"Kill the dragon. Kill the dragon. Kill the dragon" A druzel tried to calm himself.

He shoots the arrow to the dragon as it hits him.

The dragon roared "You think that's painful!??" and flies toward the druzel.

It bites the druzel's head off as the druzel's body falls to the ground, spewing out blood.

"Nooo!" Eungi screamed out.

Behind a hill, Collin and Tidus builds a little shack for the group to hide in whenever they need to rest for a short time.

Arrows began raining toward the dragon, but it's not doing much damage.

"Shit!" Kyle shouted.

Chloe aims at the dragon's face with an arrow with a fire on its tip. She shoots it as it hits the dragon's left eye "I hit it!!"

The dragon roared in pain as it manages to take off the arrow. He's blinded in his left eye.

"Damn, Chloe.. Who taught you how to aim?" Jun said.

"Roar!" The dragon flies into Eungi as it picks up Eungi in the sky.

Eungi screams loudly "Aaah!!!"

"Eungi!!!!" Jun shouted.

"Stop aiming for the dragon's head before you hit Eungi!!" Tidus shouted.

Eungi manages to escape the dragon's teeth between his legs and stabs inside its nose "This is what you get!!"

The dragon shakes his head in pain, dropping Eungi into the waters.

"Eungi!" Jun yelled.

"Ready!" Chloe shouted as all of them aim to the dragon with fire arrows "Fire!" They shoot their bow towards the dragon's body.

Then the dragon turns full blue.

"Woah... What's happening?" Mikey asked as the ground starts shaking.

The dragon is angry. It starts abstracting more life on Kepkury "Roar!"

"Shut the fuck up!" Kyle shouted at the dragon.

"Oh hell nah" Edison says.

"Ra!" The dragon uses kaish, the dragon's power, to form an arm, a blue arm.

"The dragon has an arm now!?" Tidus shouted.

He extends his arms and grabs Tidus "Ah!! Why me!? You motherfucker!" The dragon throws Tidus up to the sky.

He falls down towards the ground "Oh shit!"

Collin manages to catch Tidus "Oh my god! That was so close!" Collin shouted.

"Thanks"

Summer runs to the shelter the Tidus and Collin created.

"Alright! Rest up!" Jun pulls out water and shares a drink with everyone.

"Okay, you guys ready to go back?"

"Yeah" Then silence came into the room.

Actually, it's silent outside too.

"Why is it quiet?" Kayla asked.

"I don't know" Jun answered.

"Boom!" The whole building breaks down.

"What the-!" Jun shouted.

The dragon flies up to the sky and forms a blue plasma ball.

"This is.... Kaishtau!" The dragon blasts the blue plasma to the house as Jun and the rest manages to dodge.

Summer gets hit by the kaishtau as she falls to the ground in pain.

"Ah!" She screamed.

The dragon looked at them "Say goodbye to your little friend" The Dragon says

"Noo! Summer!" Jun runs to Summer as her legs are covered in the same blue aura everyone disappeared with.

"No! Summer... Are you okay?" Jun asked.

"Jun... It burns" She said as tears drips from her eyes.

"No.. Come on Summer! You can survive this! Please!"

"Jun, just... can you do one thing for me?.." Summer asks Jun.

"What? What? What is it?" Jun said.

"Take care of Izuzunu for me... And also, tell my uncle that..." Summer stops.

"That what?" Jun asked.

"I was alive... and I love him" Summer said.

"Summer... You will survive this!" Jun was sure.

Jun held her in his arms. Summer smiled. The blue auras slowly covers her whole body.

They both stared at each other in tears. Summer being the only one smiling.

Eungi runs to Summer "Summer!"

"Summer.." Jun says.

Her last words whispered "Goodbye... Jun"

The blueness spreads to her face. Jun's tears fall onto the ground as she disappears in thin air. Jun cries as he drops his arms down.

Eungi falls onto his knees as he drops the sword on the ground.

"No" Chloe says.

Jun sat there, tears bursting out.
