Chapter 8 - The Preparation

FIRST POXUS CASTLE

Mikey goes into the basement and kills the rest of the poxians inside.

He slashes them all as Chloe and George joins in on the action. After killing all the poxians inside, they make it to the door.

"The door to the book" Mikey says.

"Open it" Chloe says.

Mikey grabs the handle of the door and opens both of them. They were all amazed at the designs in the room. It looked like a castle's throne room and the temperature also sort of decreased in there. It felt like as if they just entered a house with the air conditioner blasting the whole day.

"Feels so nice in here-" George says as he stops to see a giant monster.

A dragon looked down upon them. Almost 7 meters tall and 19 meters in length.

The dragon roared super loudly with fire coming out of its mouth as the rest screamed along with it "What the freak is that!!" Chloe screamed out.

"It's an Omite! The fire breathing dragon!!" Mikey shouted.

The dragon fly towards the rest of them as they all dodge.

The poxian blasts fire balls towards Mikey as he dodges.

Chloe looks at the back of the room to see the book "Mikey! The book!"

"We'll distract him!" George shouted "Mikey! Go!"

Mikey gets up from the ground and runs as fast as possible towards the book.

Everyone was in fear as Mikey runs faster and faster. George manages to deflect the fire ball as it bounces off his sword.

Chloe tried to cut its legs.

The omite throws one more ball to Mikey as it dies from the fire ball George sent back.

The fire ball heads fast towards Mikey as they all screamed out "MIKEY!!"

RISE OF IZUZUNU

VOLUME 1, CHAPTER 8, THE PREPARATION

SECOND POXUS CASTLE, 1 DAY LATER

Jun and the rest split up and walks around looking for the guarded doors.

"Where is the door? Where is the door?" Summer said to herself over and over again.

Coen is upset by Jun, but he doesn't let that get to him as he focuses on looking for the guarded door.

Jun stood there looking at the guarded door and then quickly hid behind the walls so the poxians wouldn't spot him "I found it"

Jun heads back to the entrance and screams through the halls as loud as possible like he was in danger. Everyone manages to hear and heads back to Jun.

"What is it?" Summer asked.

"I found it"

"Why did you scream!? I thought you were in danger!!"

They all run through the hallways until they reach the door.

Jun and the rest stood behind the wall "You guys ready?"

"Yes" They answered.

Jun slashes every single guard's head off and runs into the room kicking the door down as the cold breeze gushes out of the room.

Everyone else runs in and sees a dragon. The omite. It floats in the large room in the air.

"Um... what is that?" Coen asked "I see a brute in the distance" Coen said, pointing at the poxians next to the omite.

"Poxians" Jun replies "Yeah, just go over there and knock them out for a quick"

Coen walks to the poxians with his sword out. Coen slices their heads off "That was easy"

Jun and Summer stood there with their swords in their hands as the omite roars loudly and dashes towards the rest of the squad.

Everyone dodges, but Coen manages to cut its left eye "Take that!" the omite roared and sends fire balls toward Jun at the same time.

"This should be easy!" Jun shouted as he takes his sword's flat side and turns it towards the poxian.

"Hah!" They screamed as they deflect the fire balls back to the omite.

The omite gets wounded as it falls onto the ground causing the floors of the castle to break. The omite falls all the way to the grounds of the poxus dimension and creates a huge shockwave causing the grounds to shake very hard "What the-!" Coen screamed out as the grounds shake.

But the shaking never stopped.

"Uh... Why's is not stopping?" Summer curiously asked.

The roof of the poxus castle comes tumbling down "Everyone! It's an quake!" Jun shouted as he runs all the way to the book and grabs it really fast.

"Run!" They all start running out of the castle and through the huge opening in the wall that the omites enter from. They land on the mountain side and into the valley.

Sweat drips down from their faces as they run super fast. The heat of the poxus burns their face and entire body.

"Are you sure we should be running in the flat lands!?" Coen shouted.

"Shut up!" Jun shouted.

Jun stopped his legs as the ground in front of him breaks apart into a large ravine. Summer and Coen was on the other side in front of him.

"Jun!" Coen and Summer shouted as the ravine grows larger and Jun is too far out to jump over.

"Oh shoot" Jun's frightened "Don't worry! Just go back home without me!" Jun shouts.

"I'm not leaving you, Jun!" Summer yelled as the floor she's standing on begins breaking apart.

Jun throws the book as far as possible to their side as Coen picks it up.

He runs to Summer and quickly grabs her on the hand and pulls her away "Jun! We're gonna come back to you! I promise!" Coen shouted as he runs farther and farther away from the ravine.

"Because! You're my friend!" He kept running.

Jun breathes heavily "I gotta get myself outta here"

Jun runs to the other side and hides inside a cave to wait until the quake stops.

"What the hell is going on?" Jun asks himself.

Jun thinks for a moment wondering what just happened. Jun looked up "Wait... a quake. Being caused by the omite tumbling to the ground and making a huge shockwave triggering the plates under the Poxus Dimension to move" Jun figured it out "Earthquake"

SECOND KAIMOG CASTLE, THE UNDERGROUND CITY, 3 DAYS LATER

"So this is the underground city" Tidus says as he looked up at the tall towers.

"Wow" Melanie exclaimed as she was amazed.

"I wonder if these people are nice though" Kayla says "We should probably hide just in case?" Kayla asked.

"Look" Collin pointed a building that looks almost like a castle "You think that's it?"

Later "Yah!" Tidus runs through the room and the guards as they play the hard way of getting the books.

Everyone kills the kalkruts and bursts into the room where the book was held at "Holy shit! I found it!" Tidus shouted.

"I can't believe that worked!" Collin yelled out loud.

"You have entered the doom brigade and will now die!" A doomgader shouted with his axe out.

"Not if I kill you!" Tidus quickly took out the guy.

The corner of the room a doomgader charges against Melanie and Kayla.

Kayla manages to kill the rest of them and knock some out the windows as Kayla picks up Melanie

Collin jumps on top of a doomgader and beats it up to death with his metal fist "That's it! We can leave now, Tidus!"

Everyone gets ready to leave and get out of the place. They all jump out of the window and into a pool of water.

"Is it okay if the book is wet!" Tidus shouted.

"I don't know! You're the druzel here!" Collin shouted.

"Let's go!" Kayla screamed at them as the doomgaders tried shooting their bows at them; all missing.

"This is chaos!" Collin shouted.

LATER

Kayla and Melanie is walking back with the rest of the team.

Melanie taps on Kayla's shoulders "Hey, thanks for protecting me, Kayla"

"No problem" She smiled.

The team walks through the dark caves under Lake Uhato. It will take them 4 days to make it back to Izuzunu, as it took 4 days to get to Lake Uhato and the Underground City.

Melanie tells her a secret "I remember"

"Hm?" Kayla says, still walking back to the others.

"I remember my past life" Melanie spoke out.

Kayla suddenly stopped and turned around "H- how?" She was shocked.

"I- I don't know... it's just that.. all I could remember was spending time at... a place with my mom and dad.. a.. restaurant" She explained.

"I see... I guess they let you keep that memory" Kayla started walking.

Melanie followed along "I-.. I cry every night because of it... I just- I wanna see them so bad"

"It's okay... we'll see them one day" Kayla says, but soon stopped to turn around again to see Melanie in tears.

"Hey, hey, hey" Kayla ran to Melanie and hugged her "It'll be alright, okay?" Kayla starts tearing up along with Melanie.

"We'll find a way back home, okay? We don't know when or how, but.. we will find our home" Kayla says.

"Okay" Melanie wipes her tears away.

"Let's go back now" Kayla held her hands as they began walking back to the others.

"Alright, We did it... we found the book of kaimog" Tidus was happy.

Tidus breathes heavily from tiredness "I think we've been through enough"

Collin exclaimed "What an adventure"

"Say, what did you think you were in your past life?" Tidus asked Collin.

"Hmm.." Collin thought "I bet I was an actor" he laughed as Tidus joined along.

"But... what is an actor?" Tidus asked.

Collin looked at him with a disappointed face "Bruh"

"Here's our suits" Kalya said as she puts on the suit.

The suit was a swim suit that covered their entire body. It also came with an air tank, where they would swim back up to the surface.

Kalya, Melanie, Collin, and Tidus all enter the lake and was underwater. Tidus turned around and closes the door attached to the inside of the caves.

FIRST KAIMOG CASTLE, SAME DAY

Eungi and the rest were dressed in doom brigade clothing as all the kaimogs and kalkruts look at them.

"Have you seen him before? What's wrong?" A kalkrut asks the kaimog.

Kaimogs don't know how to talk.

"You're stupid!" the kalkrut smacks the other kalkrut in the face for talking to the kaimog.

Kyle keeps scratching his face "Stop scratching your face! The paint will go away" Eungi yelled quietly.

"Sorry! The paint feels weird! It's itching me!" Kyle yelled back.

"Tell me about it!" Edison began scratching his face too.

They put light blue paint to blend in with the kalkruts.

"Alright, here is the main base" Eungi says "Let's enter"

Entering the base and seeing all the kalkruts looking at them, soon the kalkruts turned back and does their own things.

"Look, a sign that says the book of kaimog" Kyle pointed.

"Don't point" Eungi says as he lowers Kyle's arm "That's stupid. Why would they have a sign that says where the room is?"

"I don't know, but it made it easier for us. Let's go" Edison began walking in a weird way.

The rest follows and they finally make it to the door to the room. There was no guards. Opening the room they see the book, but it wasn't guarded.

"What?" Eungi asked himself.

Kyle grabs the book "I guess we got the book. Now let's leave and take off our suits!" Kyle shouted.

"No don't! Kyle run!" Eungi screamed out loud as a kalkrut appears behind Kyle "What the-!?" Kyle screamed out as everyone runs out the room and through the hallways.

"Get back here!" The kalkruts screamed out "Release the Kaimogs!"

"Alright, let's go back home now! They should already be back home! We've been out for 4 days!!" Eungi shouted.

"I didn't know that!" Edison said.

"You're stupid! Keep track of time!" Kyle said while running for his life.

THE POXUS DIMENSION, 3 DAYS EARLIER

"Good thing we have the books, I'm so tired" Chloe says to herself, sitting in Jun's house with George and Mikey.

"Help!" Coen and Summer shouted as they barge into Jun's house.

"Jun!... He's in big trouble" Coen said.

"What happened to him?" Mikey stood up and asked.

"A quake started in poxus... The whole ground started shaking and cracking and breaking" Summer explained.

"Jun.. he got caught on the other side of a ravine and the ravine started to pull Jun away... he told us to leave him!" Summer was out of breathe.

"What!!?" Chloe shouted.

"We have to get him back" Mikey said.

"Yeah!" Summer says.

"Alright! I'm the leader now! Since I'm the oldest!" Coen shouted.

"How old are you?" Summer asked.

"I'm 17" Coen answered "I'm 17 too!" Summer shouted.

"What year??" Coen asked as she answers "278"

"What- Okay whatever! I'm still in charge! Okay, only the strong ones come with us because this is a mission... a mission to get Jun back" Coen explained.

"Who here is best at fighting?" Coen asked.

Summer, George, Mikey, and Chloe raises their hands.

"So basically everyone here. Alright, we will show you guys the way to Jun... We will save the President" Coen assured of that.

"Ready... set... go!" Coen shouted as they pull out their swords and runs through the caves and into the poxus dimension.

They sprint through poxus but suddenly stop when..

"Uh.. guys... I'm right here" Jun said as he stood on top of a small hill.

"What the-!" They all shouted out loud.

"Guys, I'm really thankful for you guys trying to save me" Jun smiled.

Everyone smiled back "We'll do anything for our president!" Coen said.

"Alright, let's get back" Jun jumps off the hill and into the portal.

Jun looks at Coen "Thank you, Coen" he said "And I'm sorry for being too harsh back at the castle"

Coen smiles "It's okay, Jun.. I'm sorry for your shoulders"

Jun smiles back and pats Coen on the shoulders "Alright"

JUN'S HOUSE, A WEEK LATER AFTER SAVING JUN

"Happy birthday, George!" Mikey shouted as he hands George a cake.

"Wow, George! You're 10 now! Hahah!" Jun laughed.

"Yes... yes I am" George smiled, looking at the cake.

Chloe looks outside to then spot Eungi and Tidus's group "Guys! They're back!"

Inside Jun's house they all plan and make their newly formed armors and tools.

"We did it" Jun said as he puts on his diamond helmet "The first diamond suit!" Jun shouted as he held his entire diamond armor set.

This is coming true for Jun. For as long as he's been living in this new world he woke up to, he has always dreamed of fighting the kaimog dragon.

"This is good.. tomorrow will be the last day for that dragon to live" Jun says as he sits on the chair.

"I'm glad you're happy" Eungi says.

"The Dragon will pay for taking the lives of innocent people" Jun says as the rest agrees.

"Damn right" Coen says, smiling.

"The books are finished!" Edison shouted.

Eungi grabs the books "This is the key.. of entering the portal"

"We're gonna need more people" Jun says "Maybe we should get some druzels to help us fight it, we can't solo this"

"Correct. I'll hook us up with some of the strongest druzels that was in my village" Eungi said.

"After getting them, we will all use this map to locate the portal" Eungi says as he opens the four books and flips to page 50 where the maps are at.

He rips the pages and places them all in order like a puzzle "Right here" He pointed at the x mark.

"I see" Jun and the rest said.

It was the map of the whole planet on a flat page. The map of Kepkury.

"This is it" Mikey says.

"Well... what are we waiting for?" Summer said.

Jun grabbed his new diamond sword "Let's go kill that dragon"
