Life Changing Incident

1 Year later, Li Chen is now 10 years old handsome boy, he can't be called overly handsome but he got genes from both his mother and father so he got a good body and his face has nice jawline and looks manly, most important thing to notice is his dark black pupils which adds to his charisma. He works in the evening and gets small income by selling medicine herbs which he collects from forest nearby to his village. It is sufficient to fill his belly and for his education fees. He doesn't have any friend other than a girl named Su Jingjing, who is a kind hearted girl and only person who spends time with him. She is the daughter of village head who doesn't like Li Chen and call him Bastard when he sees him.

Su Jingjing had a soft side for Li Chen and some feelings also so their relationship was quite good and they often went to forest for collecting herbs. Today after coming from school they decided to go to forest to collect herbs.

It was evening time when they were coming back back Su jingjing accidently sprained her ankle so Li Chen carried her on his back and walked for 10 minutes.

Then he carried her to nearby tree where she got down from his back and rested supporting her back by tree. Li Chen also sat close to her due to their closeness some complicated emotions flared in both. They were facing each other and after slight hesitation their lips came into contact, Su Jingjing closed her eyes and they started rough kissing. 

Suddenly they heard a shout- what are you doing bastard, they came back to their senses and saw a boy around 13 years of age was looking at them.

After the boy suddenly kicked Li Chen, the boy was Hao Xin ( son of richest man in village whose grand father once worked in city and came back with few resources so he got connection with city and sells herbs by collecting them from villagers with low price so he gains a good profit), Hao Xin always eyed for Su Jingjing as his personal property. 

After a good fight both of them were bruised and stopped after some time, when the 3 went to their village Su jingjing was frightened by his father and told villagers that Li Chen tried to force her, as a result Li Chen was insulted and beaten badly. In the night when Li Chen was sleeping he suddenly woke up by feeling heat from his house, he saw fire covering the entrance and roof so he tried to break the back wall which was made of wood.

After trying for few minutes , a hole was made and Li Chen escaped from backside he was bruised badly and one of his leg(right leg got some burns which looked horrible) .After escaping from there he ran towards forest , when he was just at the entrance of forest he looked back with hatred and then went inside the forest.

3 days later, near a road a boy who looked like 10-11 years old with tattered clothes was standing trying to stop passing vehicles. After waiting for some time an old bus Stopped and an old looking driver asked the boy where he is from and where  he wants to go. Li Chen told him that he  wants to go to Shanghai ( name heard by Li Chen from his mother). The old man nodded an told the boy to get in the bus after travelling for 8 hours final destination of the bus came , the old man asked the boy to change to train and also gave him some money for further travel. This train was going from Guangdong province's Jiangmen city to Shanghai. LI Chen got the ticket and boarded the train.

Inside train everyone was looking at him like some dirty beggar and maintained some distance from him, some ladies even abused him and told him to jump out of the train but he remained silent.

After a long Journey , the train arrived at Shanghai railway station, a 10 year old boy with tattered clothes got down from the train and started walking toward the exit.

when he came out of the station he saw luxury cars , high buildings, large shops and people walking wearing good clothes. He had only 10 Yen (currency) left in his pocket , after walking for almost an hour he came to a roadside stall and ordered food with 5 yen which was barely enough to make him not hungry anymore. He again started walking and it was evening time, he came to a halt seeing construction site at some distance.

He went to the site and asked some workers about the contractor after getting an answer he went to the contractor and asked him for work. This was a bald middle aged man with large belly looking like a gangster , named Song Wuhan he looked at boy and smirked and told him that he can come to work from tomorrow. Li Chen thanked him and went back under a flyover and slept there .
