Essence Sensing
Every step of Butler Elie approaching the hall, seemed like a bomb countdown timer that is about to explode. He did not walk fast nor slow. It seems like it has no things to take care of and is not chasing time.
When he reached his destination, he took a deep breath and adjusted his neck tie before entering the room.
Meanwhile, Hio pulls everything in his spiritual world closer and closer to him and gathered them all between his hands. Hio's previous sweat-drenched body was further worsen due to extreme concentration. He was also unaware of the flowing fluids from the seven orifices of his face.
When he had put them all together, he looked at it for a moment. The stars from his spiritual world that were in his hands, seemed to be like a small galaxy.
He first took a deep breath and then resumed the next phase of its spiritual manifestation.
Just as Butler Elie opened the door and stepped into the room, he heard the person inside say the words…
"Release!!"
The whole hall was shrouded with nothingness but stars and emptiness of the void, as if Butler Elie had entered a different dimension.
Spiritual manifestation is normal in majins, especially at the level that the butler has, as if he's only breathing when he is manifesting his core power. But it has yet to see an almost realistic galaxy-like expanse of core power in its first manifestation, except for the two princes who were the older brothers of the young man who possesses the core power it currently sees.
"He really is an Orth!" the butler exclaimed with amazement as he slowly walked closer to the young man. "They never fail to amaze!"
As the young man opened his eyes, he saw the Butler walking slowly towards him while observing the fruit of his spiritual manifestation. Panting with exhaustion, he was still smiling as he looked at the butler. No words came out of the young man's mouth but one could see in his eyes the pride from his work.
After a while, Hio felt a strange sensation flowing through his body. It seemed like a huge amount of energy suddenly gushed out of his stomach to replenish the strength he had lost because of what he had done.
The young man paid no heed to it and focused his attention on his spiritual manifestation and to the Head butler who serves as his instructor.
"Butler look! I did it less than the allotted time!" Hio said proudly while still staring at the galaxy he made.
"Yeah .. it really is amazing… Just like your brothers .." The butler said with almost whispering tone.
"Ehem! Ehmm!! So-so now that you learned how to manifest your core power to the physical world, let us start your cultivation!" butler Elie added as he cleared his throat. "We will begin with you feeling the essence power of your surroundings. Since you are already at the Nascent Baron stage, we'll proceed with the Intermediate training. Sensing and strengthening!"
"Wait what? Time out Butler Elie!" Hio stopped the butler and immediately loses his spiritual manifestation.
He took a deep breath before speaking again. "I thought We'll be doing the basics first before we proceed with the intermediate training?" He said while panting.
"Spiritual manifestation IS the primary stage of cultivation, now that you have completed it, we'll proceed with the intermediate stage." Butler Elie answered him.
"So That's it? Just one day being a primary majin? After spiritual manifestation, you'll jump into intermediate already?" Hio asked in surprise.
"Oh no young master, it is because your power is already on par with the Nascent Baron stage, that is why it's easy for you to do so without even bleeding." The butler answered plainly.
"You see, connecting with your spiritual world is one thing, and manifesting it to the physical world is another." It continues.
"Primary stage majins will take a minimum of quarter of a year just to completely connect with their whole spiritual world. Some others may take 2-3 years just to complete it. The threads you feel in every star and objects in your spiritual world are the threads that should be connected one-by-one, for connecting it instantly will make a majin burst due to the overwhelming pressure of from the star. Some stars need to be formed as constellation first before you connect with it. Some stars need attention like humdrum women in their period. And Spiritual manifestation will also take an average of 1 and a half year to complete." Butler Elie paused and looked at Hio
"But you did it in just 5 hours. That is the difference between a newly awakened Baron and a primary stage majin
If you focused well and feel your body, there is a gust of energy that flowed and filled your loss of power after you manifested your core power to the physical world. You might be at the Nascent Baron stage but your power is trapper within you like a dam. If you force to use your power, unknowingly broke the dam and enable all of its content to rush out, your body may not take all of it and you may receive a huge backlash. Worst, you die being overwhelmed with power like a drowning dog in a quicksand." He said without any emotions.
Hio suddenly got goosebumps from what he heard. If the worst-case scenario is making him a humdrum, he will do the honor to break the dam. But dying is another thing to him. He still has a lot of dreams in life….
"So, in order for you to use your power properly, we'll be opening the 'gate' of that dam slowly until you can control all of your Nascent Baron's power. So manifest your core power to the physical world again!" Sternly stated and made his stick appear again.
Upon closer look, it was not an actual stick but a long root that lengths up to one and a half yard long. Butler Elie swung the stick once and it made a sound like a bamboo stick being swung.
*wooosshh!!*
Hio took a big gulp and nodded, temporarily suppressing his joy. Again, he started to calm himself and concentrated to feel his spiritual world then slowly manifested his core power to the physical world.
After that, he maintained his focus and slowly opens his eyes to seek Butler Elie's next instruction.
"Currently, you are still sensing the essence within your core power. Which means even if you already learned how to manifest your core power into the physical world, it's Just a display. Your spiritual manifestation is like a net covering you, you have to look over the net and see the essence around you."
Hio listened and focused at the same time. Just like what the Butler instructed, he sensed the area around him, and with his eyes closed, he saw small wisps of dandelion seed like lights flickering around him. Taking into shape of objects, the essences have different glows. Some are bright but others are dimmed.
He started sensing the whole hall. Starting from the spot where he stood, spreading his senses to the whole hall. Sensing the essence of every object and organisms around the hall. He sensed the vase of plant at the edge of the room, seeing the roots slowly crawling in the dirt and the leaves doing photosynthesis. He also sensed the clock on the wall ticking its fingers, the cogwheels rolling behind its elegant frame.
When he's done sensing the whole hall, he began to sense the essence outside the room.
Even though he is calm and focused, Hio felt a strange sensation of his brain being stretched. It seems like the essences are air blowing his head like a balloon.
Minutes passed and turned to hours, He was already sensing the whole 6-hectare mansion! He began sensing not only the objects and organisms around, but also the sounds they can produce! The birds chirping at the tree of the back garden, rodents playing near the fountain of their front yard, the sound of the house-helpers' pixie like wings while flying around. He even heard three house helpers gossiping on how they are head-over heels to the Head Butler. He then tried looking for his two older brothers through essence but failed. He just ignored it and went around sensing each and every essence around the mansion.
after a time, Butler Elie sensed that Hio is already sensing essences that are way past the limit of an entry and mid-level intermediate majin. He started to show a bit of his essence to Hio while the man is enjoying the essence around him.
"You master, I may suggest that you stop your sensing training today and take a rest first before we continue your training."
