28 Chapter 28 : Killer Croc

The freezing gun could shoot freezing rays close to absolute zero. Once it hit the wall, it could almost stop the molecular motion of the cement steel bar. To Jude, no matter how robust the wall was, it was akin to a piece of paper, easily broken with a single poke.
"I only have five seconds at most. I must subdue him before the killer Croc can react," Jude thought to himself. His finger swiftly squeezed the trigger, several frozen rays hit the wall, and then he delivered a powerful punch.
In the seventh-floor warehouse of Ruby Cosmetics Company, the killer croc sat there, sipping wine, while keeping an eye on the trembling hostages. He yelled and snarled, "Shut up, all of you; whoever dares to make any more noise, I will break his neck."
The crowd fell silent immediately. Suddenly, he lifted a woman squatting on the corner of the table with one hand and tore off the tape from her mouth. The woman, trembling with fright, dared not make a sound.
The killer croc, satisfied with his deterrent effect, stretched out his scarlet tongue, licked the corner of his mouth, and asked, "Tell me, am I ugly? Is it disgusting?"
The woman shook her head hurriedly and said, "No, sir, you are not disgusting at all, but something special."
"Do you like this look?"
"Of course, I like it very much."
Killer Croc's eyes showed a fierce light. "Lying, I can only see fear in your eyes. What you are saying is just the same rhetoric as those in the circus."
"You only think of me as a deformed monster, a weird species born from a cross between a mother and a crocodile. You are mocking me, right?"
The woman was shocked by the sudden roar of the killer croc, and a yellow liquid came out between her legs, dripping to the floor.
"Hahahaha... Are you afraid? Don't be afraid. It won't take long for the whole of Gotham City to become like me. This place will become a monster city. I will no longer be a special one, hahaha."
"Why do I feel a bit cold?"

Suddenly, a loud noise came from behind. The killer croc quickly turned around and saw a big hole in the wall. Instinctively, he grabbed the woman and used her as a shield.
"FUCK!"
Jude could only retract his hand that was about to shoot and slammed on the damaged wall to activate the effect of attracting gravity shoes. He jumped above the killer croc's head like a big bird, and the freezing rays fired continuously, instantly freezing the croc and the woman into an ice sculpture.
From breaking the wall to the end of the battle, it took no more than five seconds in total. What happened to the hostages who had not reacted yet? The situation had reversed. Jude appeared, his hands pressing down again and again to signal the hostages to stay calm.
"Quiet, my friends; I'm Batman's friend; came to rescue you. If you shout louder and call Clay face it will be over and I will leave you alone."
The hostages heard the name Batman and hurriedly quieted down, all looking at Jude anxiously.
"That's right, the police will come to rescue you immediately."
Jude walked to the broken wall and made an OK gesture to Sheriff Gordon below.
Gordon quickly picked up the walkie-talkie and shouted, "The killer croc has been subdued; act!"
Following his order, dozens of policemen descended from the top of the building along the zipline, kicking the broken glass, and quickly gathered on the seventh floor. A few seconds later, the warehouse door was knocked open by an external force, and the police swarmed in.
"Okay, I'll leave it to you here; I'm going to help Batman."
The captain of the operation saluted him but immediately asked, "Sir, what should we do about two of them?"
"Don't worry, the freezing will be lifted by itself in two hours. You wait for it to work or do you still need me to teach you?"
"Understood, thank you!"
On the other side, the Clayface was screaming and attacking Bruce. His hands turned into two huge clay hammers, each of which made a big hole in the wall. Bruce rolled and dodged flexibly, shaking his hands with a few bat darts.
"Do you think this thing will work on me?"
The mud on his face let the darts hit him indifferently. The bat darts were extremely sharp and embedded directly in his flesh, of course, if he still had flesh and blood.
But the clay face continued to attack unaffected; the sledgehammer in his hand turned into a spear and pierced Bruce's chest directly.
Bang! Bang! Bang...
At this moment, a small explosion was triggered on Clayface's body, blasting him to stagger, and several potholes appeared on his body. In those potholes, there was a red glaze, left after the high-temperature barbecued soil.
Bruce took the opportunity to jump up and kick the opponent's head. With his leg strength, even this monster was kicked directly into the door and fell into an office.
However, knowing that this old opponent is not so easy to defeat, Bruce took out another anesthesia grenade from his belt. The white smoke instantly surrounded the mud face, and Bruce took out a respirator and put it on his mouth.
After waiting for a few minutes and finding that nothing was moving, he was relieved. Just as he was about to turn around and leave, a black figure suddenly emerged from the smoke, and the clay face swooped up to entangle Bruce.
"Hmph, you know Batman; I am mud; will anesthetics work on mud?"
Bruce was strangled from behind his neck. He could only elbow the clay face hard, but his head was hard. An attack at this level would not work.
"Are you worried? Are you worried about the hostages? Don't worry; after killing you, I will send them to hell to accompany you."
The Clayface yelled, turning an arm into a short knife and stabbing Bruce in the chest.
Clang!
The bat armor resisted the trowel.
"Haha, you thought this thing could protect you? Die!"
The place where the mud knife and the bat armor were in contact suddenly started emitting white smoke—it was the mud face using the corrosive ability.
Bruce's brain turned rapidly, thinking of a way to get out. Just at this critical moment, a freezing ray hit the clayface's arm, and the latter's movements stopped immediately.
Then there was another laser beam directly piercing through the clay face's head, and the thick yellow matter exploded all over Bruce's body.
"Hey, you're welcome, Batman."
Bruce glanced at Jude coldly and said, "Where is the killer croc, and what about the hostages?"
"Of course, it is all solved; otherwise, how can I free my hand to save you?"
"I can do it without you."
"Oh, you are so arrogant!"
After a few slaps, the Clayface that had just fallen back stood up, and the exploded head returned to its original state.
"This guy... his vitality is tenacious."
"Batman, you broke your promise! I want to kill the hostages!"
Jude said silently, "Being a villain must also have a brain. I appeared here. What do you think has happened to the killer Croc?"
The clay face was taken aback for a moment, and he raised the mud hammer to hit Jude, but unfortunately, before he got close, a freezing ray froze the mud hammer.
"You should be grateful for your huge size; otherwise, this ray would have completely frozen you, so you can suffer less."
Looking at his frozen arms, the clay face roared angrily, then his arms slammed into ice. Just when Jude wanted to give him a thumbs up, the clay-faced body squirmed, and his arms grew again.
"This situation seems a bit bad; let's go!"
Jude grabbed Bruce, who was still in a standoff and activated his gravity-absorbing shoes.
