10 Chapter 9: Animal history and building home

( Okay everyone this one is a more of the animal history mixed with a info dump.)

The Savage Land is a hidden prehistoric land, It is a tropical preserve hidden in Antarctica.

The Savage Land was created by the alien Nuwali at the order of the nigh-omnipotent aliens Beyonders who sought to observe the process of evolution under relatively controlled conditions and they had the Nuwali set up a number of game preserves on several planets.

One of these planets was Earth during the Triassic (basically the era before the Jurassic period) period where the Nuwali chose a valley in Antarctica surrounded by active volcanoes, where they installed a number of advanced technological devices in order to maintain a tropical climate. The aliens then stocked the area with all manner of Earth life over the following several millennia. They also brought over the Man-Apes, earlier ancestors of us Humans.

The Beyonders eventually grew bored with the experiment, and the Nuwali stopped maintaining the Savage Land during the Late the Ice Age era. However, the self-maintaining technology that allowed the pocket of tropical climate was left running, and many species which became extinct in other areas of the Earth continued to thrive within the Savage Land.

Later on, a group of human survivors from Atlantis sailed to Antarctica before the "Great Cataclysm" which sank Atlantis into the ocean. There, they discovered a cavern where they found an immense climate-controlling device and harnessed the technology used to keep the Savage Land's volcanoes working. They named their location "Pangea", which is Atlantean for "paradise".

They mastered genetic engineering, which had been used on the Man-Apes when the Nuwali were still maintaining the Savage Land area. They used their genetic engineering techniques to transform other Savage Land inhabitants like the Golden People, the Lizard Men, the Reptile Men, the Tubantis, and others. The Atlanteans then forced them to work for them until these animal people revolted. After a time of war, the animal people demanded civil rights and the Atlanteans used technology to expand the Savage Land's surface area for the animal people to live in. When the Great Cataclysm struck, the Atlantean empire fell and thanks to the machines, the Savage Land locations were spared from sinking into the sea.

Now if my theory is correct these animals are remnants of the animal tribes that were enslaved. They must have been raised here and have no idea of their origin, I should try to create a skill where I can understand them.

I got up and walked away in to the forest.

I picked 2 big trees but with no animals or insects on them. As I really didn't want to make my house out of wood that has micro insects eating it.

I uprooted them and ripped them in half with my bare hands.

It never gets old when I see what I can do, like there is always that sense of belief of you doubting yourself.

2 weeks ago I was just your normal kid that was reincarnated by a 11th dimensional being...

"Who am I kidding, there are hundreds of things wrong with that statement", I say with a sigh.

I grabbed a kitchen knife from my back pack and using my super speed and super strength I sliced through these trees like a nice through butter.

I made ten relatively large sticks and I stuck them onto the ground in a tent-like fashion.

I had brought ropes with me and I used them to bind together the sticks.

I was doing it awkwardly, but after 4-5 sticks; you would think that I have been doing this for years. I guess just having Kryptonian powers makes my body very adaptable to learning new things.

I grabbed tens of leaves from nearby trees and I grabbed some branches and skewered the leaves together. I had then fashioned some wooden nails from the left over wood, wouldn't want it to go to waste.

I attached the skewered leaves to the tent and then I repeated this process 2-3 times and then I officially had 2 thick leaf curtains and one relatively thin curtain.

I used the thick leaf curtains to cover the sides of the wooden tent, so that If it rains I don't get wet and the wood turns soft. I used the thin leaf curtain to cover the front so that no rain can come through the front. But it's just thick enough that sunlight can still pass through and I will be able to wake up more easily.

I walk backwards, so I can my newly finished tent. It's not exactly the best, but it's home for now.

I felt my stomach grumble and I looked up and saw that the sun was going down and it was almost night.

I run deep inside the forest and look around for some herbs and animals to hunt. I use x-ray vision to search for any animals near. I see a pack of wolves eating a deer. They were a few miles away from me, So I superspeed there.

I see 3-4 wolves eating the Deer's leg as they much on it. Their was a vicious wolf at the front lines eating the Deer's torso. It was tearing away the flesh and muscles with practiced ease.

It was using the Deer's bone as a chew toy.

It suddenly smelled the new scent that appeared in the air. The newly registered scent appeared so suddenly that Wolf was doubting itself for a second.

Until I appeared in its sight and it's instincts assured it that I was real.

It bared his fangs at me and called out to it's pack. They followed the order and got behind the Alpha, into what looked like a crude yet effective way to kill prey.

The pack slowly surrounded me and I let them because I knew that no matter what they do, they are my prey.

The Alpha recognized this, but it was angered that a mere "prey" had no fear towards it.

I took out a knife and even though I didn't need it, I knew if I punched these wolfs; I would smash them into meat paste. These animals aren't like Savage Land creatures, a mere strong flick of mine can them.

The Wolves growled at me as they saw the sharp glint on my knife.

The Alpha Barked and they ran towards me from all directions.

I Blitz right through them, I lowered my center of gravity and ran towards the wolves in the front.

I slashed their underbelly deep into their stomachs. I was careful to not accidentally pierce the gallbladder. I did these to all the wolves at the front and sides except the Alpha and the two wolves in the back.

The ones left were the strongest, I could tell by how all the weaker wolves were slightly submissive to them.

I charged at them and did a somersault into the air and I smashed my knife into their brains killing them instantly. I struck them so hard, that a piece of my knife that bent and it took a piece of their skulls with it.

I walked back to my original position and went back to normal speed, the now Lone Alpha looked around and saw it's dead pack.

It turned around and looked at me with fear. It knew, it wouldn't make it out here alive. So it rushed towards me hoping by some miracle it could kill me. I watched it run towards me with the speed of a snail, at the last second it jumped at me intending on tearing my throat out.

I swiftly turned to my side dodging its pitiful attack and slit its throat.

I seemed to have used too much strength as I beheaded it.

The Wolf only had one thought Plaguing his mind.

A true Predator feels no hatred for its prey, only pity because it knows that no matter what the prey does, prey will always be prey.

I picked up all the wolves and I brought them in front of my house.

I grabbed the remaining wood and put the dry wood in a pentagon shaped position.

Time slowed

I focused on my solar reserves, intent on drawing out the force that I know will always be there for me and there it was.

Almost begging to be used, I didn't even have to focus on what I had to do because it was all natural.

Tiny Minuscule amount of solar energy heading towards my optic nerves.

I had closed my eyes as I was worried that I couldn't control them, but for some reason; I know I didn't need to.

I knew that if I feared my powers, I would never be able to use them to their full potential.

So, I let go and the instant I did; two thick crimson rays rushed out of my eyes.

The rays charged at the wood and they pierced right through leaving blackened wood. The lush green grass blackened and I closed my eyes in a hurry, I tried to cut off the solar energy supplying my eyes.

It didn't at first, but I didn't lose my calm. I tried again and again weakening the supply every time until there was nothing left.

I opened my eyes to see Blackened wood burning a huge bon fire. I was happy that I achieved my goal, well....

I looked at my surrounding. Blackened grass and dirt littered all over, it seemed like my heat vision left a "few" marks.

Oh well, Training begins tomorrow anyway.
