SHANE'S POINT OF VIEW

See? I am right!

I also thought, she would not end the call but she had already ended it. Gosh . . . what a teasing May.

ANDREI'S POINT OF VIEW

"She does not remember," May said as I answered her call.

She does not remember me. After all, we were young then and that was a long time ago.

"Why did you not say that you are her childhood friend? Is it really that hard to say?" the person I was talking to asked on the other line.

"I do not know," I replied . . . which is true. I do not know. I can introduce myself to her that I am her childhood friend but am I aware of myself? I cannot. Maybe, because I want to hear from her she remembers me. Uh, it is so . . . gay.

"You do not know? Zy will be ahead of you if you are keeping on freezing."

I was suddenly confused by what she stated. "What do you mean?"

"Gosh, Andrei, Zy likes her."

"Eh? Are you kidding?" Seriously? Is that Zy? Does he like Shane? Not obvious. That face of his is so serious.

"No, probably. You must make your first move. It is up to you. You have been looking for him for so long and then others will just snatch her away."

"Well, I'll help her para hindi na siya masaktan pa."

"Wait, is it not, she has not been able to move on with her first boyfriend Charles yet?"

"Um . . . not yet."

When I heard that, I did not know if I would be happy or sad. Whether I am happy because she will not let anyone into her heart again so that I can prepare or sad because she might not love again. Uh, I am so confused.

"Well, I will help her so she does not get hurt again."

"Be careful."

"Careful? To?"

"You might say something wrong about Charles. You know, Shane, in her current situation, she is sensitive."

"Got it." I already know that.

"Go, Team Andrei!" she cheered happily.

I just smiled. "Thanks. Just keep me updated about her."

"Yes. I am on it. How dare you question me?"

"Thanks!" I put the phone down on my desk and sat down on the chair.

Shane, I have fulfilled my dreams. I am a doctor now. It was a pity that I was not able to treat Dad. I was too late.

I was young when there was a new-moved family resident in our area. I went to the front of their house.

I saw a cute girl. She helped her mom and dad lift things out of the car. When she was alone, I approached her to make friends but do you know what she did? She raised an eyebrow at me.

"Who are you?" she asked fiercely.

"Andrei Williams. You?"

"Shane Smith."

"Welcome to our place."

Slowly, she lowered her eyebrow and smiled. "Thank you."

"Do you want to go to the park? It is nice!"

"Really? There is a park here?"

I nodded. "Do you want to go?"

"I hope so," her face saddened, "but my parents and I still have a lot to do. We still have a lot to fix."

"Is that so? Hmmm . . . then how about tomorrow if you want. I will get you here."

She smiled again. "All right!"

The next day, I went to the front of their house again.

I was hiding on the side of the wall when I heard the gate open. Shane came out of here. She looked around as if looking for someone. I silently approached her and covered her eyes with both of my hands.
