Struggle in Choosing advantages

Billy opened his eyes, finding himself in a white place.

"Where am… uh… bleurgh!"

Billy suddenly vomited all the food of the day there along with some blood. It seemed that the side effects of having his organs attacked was starting to show.

After vomiting Billy was so tired that his body could barely hold him. This feeling was similar to when he trained to the point of failure in the gym but much worse.

A few moments later his body completely gave up and he fell on his own vomit but he was so tired that he barely reacted. Instead, his eyelids became heavier and an urge to sleep invaded his mind.

"Hmm in the end the bodies of beings from the lowly planets only amount to this much or so it seems."

A weird voice that could only be described as a whispering wind entered Billy's head.

The voice strangely enough healed and reinvigorated Billy, filling him with energy that he never knew he had. At this moment his body and thinking speed seemed to have reached a whole new level. He felt like lightning.

"What…?" Billy quickly mustered all the strength he could and glanced at his surroundings but all he could see was a never-ending white.

Only after he thought of looking up did he notice.

Floating in the air was a small fluffy ball of white fur with two big round blue eyes, 2 arms, and 2 legs. No skin was visible except for the eyelids. This creature was cute and looked almost like a teddy bear or what a yeti cub would look like.

Billy had never seen this creature before but before he could even speak the creature interrupted him.

"Time is running out, my name and identity is not important, what is important is the decisions you will soon have to make. That is if you wish to survive." The creature spoke with a relaxed yet urging tone, opening his mouth to speak revealing a pink tongue and pearly white teeth that looked like those of humans but were sharper, especially the fangs that were longer and sharper than the rest.

Billy had to admit this creature was cute but he didn't forget how he arrived here he was kidnapped and Billy was still worried about his own safety and had been sizing up his surroundings and the creature based on what he knew he believed that the creature was a carnivore or his race originated from carnivores.

A thought emerged in his mind that maybe the creature wanted to eat him.

But after hearing the new information Billy was forced to put those matters to the side after thinking further. After all, if the creature wanted to kill him it could have done that when the arms jumped from the phone, when he was unconscious, or when he was on the ground in the weakest state he had ever been.

"What do you mean?" Billy asked.

"I apologize. My brother is young and impatient. He couldn't accept that one of his favorite novels will never have an end thus he defied my orders and was about to send you to that novel but I intervened." the creature explained.

Billy fell into contemplation if he didn't have a mental boost he might have stood there for a few minutes processing the information. But it was simply too much to take on. Aliens existed or maybe gods he wasn't sure what the creature was, and he was about to enter a hellish and unforgiving place and all for what? For the tantrum of an alien?

After much thinking, Billy finally spoke "Wait, if your brother did this without your permission can't you send me back to my world?"

"I'm afraid not."

"But…" Billy paused for a moment unsure if he wanted to contradict the creature if it was a petty being the creature might as well kill him.

"No, I can't stop it." as if guessing Billy's thoughts the creature spoke in a helpless and embarrassed tone.

"In the terms of your world, it is like a fired bullet. You can't stop it but in the few moments it takes to reach the target you can think and try something. In this case, I'm doing the same. I'm giving you a heads up and another advantage: an additional instant master attainment level in any path. I wish I could do more but even prolonging the time for you to be transported into the Gu world has already taken a huge toll on me. If I give more than that I might die."

Hearing the creature's tone and explanation Billy felt its struggle and even sympathized a bit with the creature. Unknowingly he lowered his guard.

The creature paused for a moment before continuing "By the way there's 15 minutes before you are thrown into the Gu world. The advantages are the same as those of the Reddit post plus my extra. Please think quickly."

"What!" Billy panicked upon hearing the creature's words.

Being a complete otherworldly demon has its advantages in that fate couldn't control or influence him but he would immediately be in constant danger if fate or Star Constellation found out about his existence.

Not to mention his D-grade aptitude was shit and might never advance further than rank 1 if he couldn't find Gu that raised his aptitude.

Although he could choose where to spawn he wouldn't have Gu or resources only knowledge, 2 master attainments, and talent.

But that was even worse. It would raise suspicion if a rank 1 initial stage gu master without gu or anything on his name other than his clothes had master attainment in 2 paths it would even be more suspicious due to his age of 19 what would others think?

Billy could already imagine many scenarios.

"This man surely stumbled upon a hefty inheritance. You don't have the strength to keep it, let me hold it for you until you are strong enough. What do you mean you have nothing?! How dare you reject my kindness!"

No matter what Billy thought in almost all scenarios he was either captured or killed.

Even if he somehow manages to reach rank 9 he would be killed by the venerables as they don't want the power balance to break or lose their dao lord status as Billy wanted to get the talent of supreme in a path that a venerable already cultivated.

Soon Billy made up his mind "My objective is survival and maybe return home but that is unlikely.

Reincarnating in northern plains is too dangerous as a rank 1 Gu master or a baby due to the ten year blizzard that leaves me with the option of an extreme physique in the central continent.

He was a formation path grandmaster who was talented and obsessed with the path and it was mentioned he could reach great grandmaster level but it was never mentioned if he could reach quasi-supreme or higher.

Based on what Billy knew he had 40 years before things went south just what could he accomplish in that time?

Billy started having doubts.

Could he even manage to ascend to rank 6? Even if he miraculously managed to reach supreme attainment in the wisdom path when the venerables revived, would he even manage to reach rank 8?

Worst of all his talent was a threat to Star Constellation which would end up having him killed.

But even if he chose another path as his supreme talent he would still be killed as the risk of another venerable emerging would break the power balance.

Even if he was recruited by a venerable could that venerable even protect him? Sooner or later he would undergo immortal ascension if he manages to reach the conditions of advancing to rank 9 or be extremely close the others are sure to attack him.

What if he successfully becomes a venerable?

With that being said Billy made up his mind the main reason he wanted to be a complete otherworldly demon was to have more time to exploit his advantages but without resources or guidance he was sure to waste a long time or even die when traveling the Gu world.

Another reason was because he was wary of heavenly court but after giving it much thought were they truly the bad guys? Sure they were extremely shady like all governments and extremely racists to variant humans but on the other hand there was Spectral Soul a murderhobo that solved all his problems by killing and even wanted to create killing path in the future he would become more beast than man, Fang Yuan who would do anything for his goal of eternal life, Giant Sun wasn't that bad but he believed in his bloodline supremacy and women didn't had a high status in his rule and who knows if Billy would even be reincarnated as a man.

Right now all Billy cared about was survival although he was an otherworldly demon would heavenly court bother with him?

What was the heavenly court? It was the strongest organization in the Gu world, had the most experts, the most resources, and was the only organization that could nurture venerables. It even had 3 venerables that were loyal to it, 1 venerable that might still be loyal to them and 1 venerable that is or was fated to be the strongest and needs to be nurtured.

Didn't they let Zhao Lian Yun live as she could use Love Gu? If they let her live, why wouldn't they let him live if he proved he was more useful?

Although he would still be pressed against time he would have more resources to use and even protection after all heavenly court would house the immortal members of the great sects all he needed to do was reach rank 6 and stay at the back quietly increasing his attainments and improving.

"I choose the carefree wisdom heart physique, spawn in the central continent, master attainment in refinement path, master attainment in dream path, quasi-supreme talent in wisdom path and supreme talent in human path..."

"Yaulite." the creature's brother suddenly arrived calling his name. "You already paid a high price entering the competition for the Gu world why didn't you let me use some of my foundation to at least share the burden with you?"

"Xeguhite." Yaulite turned around to look at his younger brother, his gaze showing warmth "You are only ten thousand years old while I'm fifty thousand. Just what kind of brother would I be if I were to take the efforts of my younger brother?"

Yaulite paused for a moment "Did you do what I asked for?"

"Yes I inspected the memories of Gu Zhen Ren and no he has never interacted with the Gu world or knew about its existence before the planning of his novel. I investigated for gods that might have given him information or inspiration but I haven't found anything even after much effort."

"Maybe it's a coincidence but I just can't shake off his feeling although many things weren't explored in excruciating detail overall he had about an 80 percent accuracy rate he precisely guessed the names and order of the venerables including their paths, the unique power system of the Gu world, some Gus, and the scheme of Limitless. Although this so-called Fang Yuan didn't exist last time we checked based on Gu Zhen Ren's precision, he might actually exist sooner or later." Yaulite thought as he stroked his fluffy chin.

"Brother…" Xeguhite interrupted Yaulite's thoughts.

"Yes?"

"I still don't understand why you want the Gu world. Many gods are already competing to have it, some are much older than you and the Gu world is conscious even if we win the rights to it we need to subdue it and we will need to spend more time and effort.

Not to mention that father has almost reached the end of his life and the rest of our siblings are competing and even fighting to see who will become the next clan leader. So if this chip fails like many others you will be at a disadvantage so why can't you just annex a different world and increase your strength?" Xeguhite curiously asked with a worried and urging tone.

Yaulite calmly explained "You already know that our family's cultivation technique is about annexing a number of worlds into our body regardless of size so in short the bigger the planet the better.

Yaulite waved his hand and the endless white he was in disappeared revealing they were in space this whole time.

In front of him, a flat world with five continents and 2 heavens black and white respectively was surrounded by a black fire that tried to get in.

Far away in the distance, a gray wind clashed with the fire. The gray wind initially had the advantage but soon started losing after being engulfed by it.

Yaulite waved his hand causing the gray wind to grow and condense, finally taking the shape of a thin gray needle.

The next moment the gray wind needle flew faster than the eye could see with a rotation motion it 'pierced' black heaven leaving no damage behind or harming the beings it passed through as it continued its travel.

After many hand movements of Yaulite, he finally stopped and gazed at the Gu world.

"I've laid my chips this time I used a bit more resources than the previous times. Will it bring me any benefits? Only time will tell."
