"Well, time to start again." A young man dressed in pajamas reached the end of his favorite novel, Reverend insanity.

With this, it was the tenth time he had read this novel… or maybe it was the thirtieth? The young man had long lost count of what unknowingly had become his obsession.

Ever since he read the first chapters, he was in love. Since then, no other novel piqued his interests. It was almost always the same with other cultivation novels.

The MC gets op, all problems are solved with strength, characters feel more like blank sheets than people, villains are idiots, face slaps, MC gets the number hundred thousand or something heavenly beauty fucks them or doesn't fuck them due to some shit to make the readers imagine what they would do if they were in the mcs shoes, etc.

But reverend insanity was different. All the characters felt like real people, not everything could be solved with strength, everyone was smart, the power system was original and easy to understand, and what most attracted the young man's attention was the life teachings that although simple were powerful and helped shape his character.

The other was the MC Fang Yuan, someone that can't be easily replaced even when adding to the list all the characters of the novel as he has an insane determination and craftyness that puts almost all fictional characters to shame.

With all that, it was easy to see why the young man liked the novel so much but he took it too far.

He read it during his free time, when he was studying, when he was eating, and even when he was taking a dump.

Many in his family worried about him but couldn't say anything as his grades remained the same straight A's in all subjects, he continued with his part-time job, he was sociable, well-behaved, helpful to others, etc.

As far as anyone knew, he had a bright future ahead of him even if he lost some time in the novel every now and then, it didn't affect him much.

What a shame it was all about to change.

Just as he had tapped on his phone to Chapter 1 "the heart of a demon never has regret even in death"

He received a notification from Reddit. There was a new post in the community of reverend insanity.

Curious, the young man chose to tab on the notification as he also commonly posted and responded to the posts.

The title of the post read "You are thrown into the Gu world, what do you do?" followed by a long text.

It had been less than a minute since it was posted but there were already ten comments. The young man found this weird but didn't think much about it.

"Hmpt of course die, the Gu world is dangerous and heartless. Unlike other isekai, everyone is an intelligent two faced monster. If you give me the choice to eat a bowl of shit or travel to the Gu world I will ask for the bowl of shit any time."

Those were some of the comments but they were all negative none were optimistic or were delusional enough to think they had a fighting chance against the old monsters that were the rank eights not to mention the venerables.

"I beg to disagree." The young man typed a long comment after he had read the post based on the publication he would be spawned during fang yuan's first regression but fang yuan was still a baby.

He would get to choose where to spawn, get an instant master attainment, talent to reach supreme in one path and quasi supreme in another path.

Other than that he would also get to pick if he wanted to keep his former body but with an awakened d grade aptitude or be born as a native with c grade aptitude or extreme physique.

As a bonus heaven's will would be unaware of his identity as an otherworldly demon or even complete otherworldly demon until he become an immortal and the tribulations would be fair and be given at least a week to rest if he successfully passed the tribulation.

If the tribulation wasn't fair he would be given at least a month to rest and good luck 80 percent temporary and 20 percent permanent that although could be expended could be regenerated over time. The poster even joked that this would create a more annoying Ma Hong Yun.

In addition his memories would be unaffected if spring autumn cicada was used.

The post the young man made was long but just 5 seconds later a weird message he had never seen before appeared covering the whole screen of his phone in white even the borders of his phone that didn't have a screen became the same.

This freaked out the young man and he immediately threw the phone on his bed.

"Billy is everything ok?" the young man's mom worriedly asked after hearing him scream.

Hearing his mom's voice unknowingly calmed him down enough to respond sounding relaxed. "Yeah, I just thought there was a cockroach on the screen of my PC. It turns out it was just the PC that played a video of cockroaches after I listened to music."

"Oh ok I just wanted to know as you had me worried."

"Yeah sorry mom."

After a long talk Billy looked at the phone still on the bed. The screen remained the same but there was a message in black.

[Do you want to play?]

Below were the options.

Billy tapped and Slided on the white parts trying to make the three buttons appear and get out of what he believed was a troll using a virus as he tried to rationalize what was happening but it was to no avail.

"Do I seriously need to do this?" Billy asked himself.

He had paid almost half a grand for his phone if he were to lose it… he didn't even want to think about it.

"Birds die for food and humans die for wealth." Billy remembered a passage from the novel but soon slapped himself to reality this was real life there were no things such as the supernatural shit or gu.

"Well, fuck it, I need to take a risk if I fail, so be it, but I ain't paying for someone that will charge me almost the full price of the phone when I can buy a new one… huh?" Just when he was about to click yes, one of the options generated some text that read.

[I shall give you a bit more benefits to make up your mind but this is as far as I will go.]

"Hmpt, this is too low. I'm worth at least an instant supreme grandmaster attainment level no wait, I'm worth at least 10 of them." Billy joked in an obnoxious tone that would piss off almost everyone.

Unlike what Billy thought, the phone immediately responded.

"What the…"

The text now read

[You pissed me off.]

Almost immediately something that defied physics occurred. Hundreds of human sized arms with hands that looked more like claws jumped out of the small phone screen grabbing at Billy.

Billy jumped back in fright unintentionally making some distance but it was useless the hands moved like lightning and grabbed at him so hard they left behind red marks.

"What the fuck!!!?" Billy screamed but the arms exploited his weakness. Tens of arms entered his mouth reaching as far as they could grabbing and squeezing his organs.

The pain was unbearable Billy tried screaming but no words came out as there was no space for the air to exit.

The arms then pulled him toward the phone screen, even the ones inside him.

Billy among fear, tears of pain, and desperation unleashed strength he never knew he had but it was useless against the arms soon he was pulled into the phone

The scene was like a cat or a squid entering through a space much smaller than their size but Billy didn't have the flexibility of those animals. Instead his body was pulled until he entered his head was squeezed so hard he thought it was going to pop like a balloon. His limbs were folded like clothes to make them enter.

It was a hellish experience that Billy didn't wish for even his worst enemy. The mosquito that bit him yesterday but that isn't the point.

Soon nothing was left of him but his phone and belongings. This night created a local urban legend and forever left his parents with the question of what happened to their son.

Billy was no longer in this world or will ever be; his body, soul, and consciousness were transported to the Gu world.

As for his fate? Only time will tell.
