chapter 27 change of plans

Thanks to the caravan i was able to buy lots of materials that i normally couldn't get without getting unwanted attention. After buying all the materials i went back to my room and started my refinement.

Inside of a cauldron made from qi shape gu i was throwing in some small stomachs. After half an hour my refinement was a success and small appitite gu was ranked up. My hunger once again disappeared and i once again felt full.

I spent the rest of the week ranking up my gu. All of the rank ups were a success but it took up alot of my time. I went into my closet and in my hidden compartment i pulled out a wine bottle. Opening the bottle a spicy smell came out and a red leaf stick bug was floating around in it.

Refining steep tea gu into the next rank is simple. All i have to do is make a certain higher quality tea and have steep tea gu be inside of the bottle with the tea. Of course its not a guaranteed rank up but since its so simple i can do it over and over again until it does.

Once i became an immortal with high food path attainment i was able to find the best refinement methods to rank up my steep tea gu. The best way to rank up the steep tea gu was to simply parallel refine it with a specific tea. Right now i ranked it up by putting it in a bottle of a to be spicy tea.

Its actually very simple to rank up steep tea to rank 4 only rank 5 is a bit more troublesome and of course an immortal recipe is way harder atleast right now for the current me.

Putting steep tea gu into my aperture it took a portion of my light red primeval essence and converted it into a scarlet red primeval essence. Now i can continue cultivating, a few days went by and the caravan left meaning that my break was over as well.

So i was once again on a schedule where i went to school then came home to cultivate, my cultivation progressed much smoother now that i wasn't refining or preparing for a fight. As for my den of snakes i had them go out and capture animals.

While i was cultivating i got a message from players shop that someone had completed a request of mine. Soon my room had 20 red skin hides, hmmmmm this looked like some type of kangaroo. Well it doesn't matter what it was, it has what i want.

This beast must have had fire path dao marks to make it not only red but hot. The actual hide gave off heat to the touch. I activated liquid gu and began turning the hides into fire dao water. After 20 minutes i had about 15 bottles filled with fire dao water.

I then brought out 15 bottles with light blue water. These were once the frozen tears that i had long turned into ice dao water. It took way to long for someone to get me a material with fire path ties, but now i can make my last gu worm to complete my gu set.

After 20 minutes i had in my hand a square bettle that was half red and half blue with one black dot on it. This is rank 1 food store gu a storage type gu that specializes in storing food. It has the space of a small room and half of its storage is hot while the other half is cold. Of course thats also a downside as you can't store living beings in it and any equipment stored will either be cold or hot.

I then spent the next hour refining it to rank 2. The only difference was that it now had two black dots and its storage space is now a normal sized room. The food for food store gu is odd, as it has to eat a spicy meal thats cold or a cold meal thats spicy. I'll just make a ice cream thats made with spicy peppers. With this gu i can now prepare my supplies for leaving the clan.

Time went by as i kept going to school and then cultivating, on the weekends i would go to my den of snakes and devoured the souls of all the captured animals. With steep tea gu and a constant supply of primeval essence stones my cultivation quickly broke through to rank 2 middle stage. I was now able to gain access to rank 2 upper stage primeval essence

In the woods in a large pit were several dead animal bodies. I had already eaten their souls and pulled out and stored their tendons. As i was waiting at the side i felt the aura of a gu getting stronger. From one of the beasts bodies came out a blood red leach giving off the aurora of a rank 3 gu.

The gu returned to me and entered my aperture, drain blood gu has finally reached rank 3. I have been constantly feeding it blood from my families animals and the blood from all my prey and it now just ranked up. Now it's going to take way longer to reach rank 4. I'll probably be long gone from the clan before it reaches rank 4, but none the less it is a rank 3 blood path gu. It has a high chance of killing a rank 3 and injuring stronger beings. Its a powerful trump card of mine, but hopefully i don't have to use it

My cultivation is progressing smoothly and my den of snakes is increasing, the only thing that has slowed down is cultivating my soul. I have a 17 man soul and now the souls from the wild felines do almost no improvement on my soul.

I would love to go find wild beast kings not just for their souls but every part of them is a resource and theirs a chance it has wild gu. Unfortunately my clan would never allow any type of beast kings near the clan. So there are none near the clan and i shouldn't risk it either.

Time went by and i quickly reached rank 2 upper stage, all thanks to a unending income of primeval essence stones and having no disruptions, and it would be nice if things stayed that way but i was informed by my family that the school would be holding a tournament.

No this is the last thing i wanted, the tournament takes place after school. My family will make sure im prepared for it by having me train alongside them, worse yet all the rewards for placing well in the tournament are disappointing. The main reward will be having a elder personally refine a certain gu for your free of charge.

That means nothing to me and the other rewards are some gu and primeval essence stones. Nothing to motivate me in actually trying, worse this tournament will be cutting in my cultivating time. Slowing down my cultivation is a big no for me.

Im gonna have to play along and lose around the middle of the tournament. That way i don't disappoint my family and i don't end up having another jace bother me, and most importantly i get back my cultivation time. As i was lost in my thoughts i received a notification form players shop... looks like its time for a change of plans.
