Chapter 27: Human Dao

Some days had gone after Xun Shung's experiment with the Hope gu succeeded, these days he is practicing with flying. The year is ending, this was Xun Shung's fifteenth year in this world. After training and practicing in the Jia clan, he decided to leave from here and move for his new destination, the Shang clan.

He decided it because of his understanding towards the merchant business, tactics and their living conditions. After living here in Jia family, he is now somewhat aware of a trading type clan and Shang clan is a decent choice from this point of view. Another one was his understanding of Shang clan, by reading novel. He knew many secrets about Shang clan and about the nature of Shang Yan Fei, his children and about the environment of that city. It will be beneficial for him to refine and sell gu worms there and it will also help him in shaping his fighting techniques in the fighting grounds of Shang clan. After considering all this on his own and also discussing about it with Jia Fu, it's the best choice for him to grow stronger for his future plans.

2 months were left for this year to end and also for a caravan to go towards the Shang clan.

Xun Shung: "Iam at rank 3 peak stage now, but due to having almost no actual life and death combats Iam at most a rank 3 upper level, what gives me edge is the flying ability of mine. But it can't be used simultaneously in fights, it's like a last resort for running and my death is sure if the opponent also possesses this ability. I should prepare myself in these 2 months to become stronger."

Xun Shung always lives in reality, he was not someone who thinks that he could get a powerup and jade beauties in life threatning situations like the 'isekied' MC's in stories. He knew his own situations and circumstances most of the times. After reading many cultivation novels, this was his wealth. To fly high amongst the clouds and roam unhindered, one shouldn't die early, it was as simple as that.

These days, Xun Shung refined some gu worms and experimented by combining the gu worms. Every time he achieved success, he sold the recipe to Jia Fu, these days he was earning big with the simple recipes. It was not like he got some enlightenment in refinement path or anything special, the trick was Hope gu. After using it mutiple times, he get to know it's wonderful effects, the Hope gu not only amplify other gu's effect but can also effect a person's emotion, although not completely but the effect was still beneficial to him.

The Hope gu spread 'Hope' towards one's heart and mind and increase the 'hope' for that certain thing, that it will succeed in future. Xun Shung was invited by Jia Fu many a times for banquet and discussions about matters, so everytime Xun Shung met him. He applied the Hope gu's effect on Jia Fu, because the Hope gu is rank 4 itself and being a human path gu, it's effect was mysterious. So whenever they had a deal, Xun Shung uses Jia Fu's desire towards the clan head's position. In Jia Fu's mind, this creates ripples of 'hopes' in his mind that this gu recipe could help him in wining the position in future. With these emotions surging in Jia Fu's heart, he always bought the recipes in high price and because of rarity of wisdom path and human path, he never suspected Xun Shung.

Everyone have desires towards something in this world, the Hope gu just give hope of survival and thrive to those desires but there's a catch in this, Hope gu should be of higher rank to work properly, Xun Shung had to used it earlier many a times on Jia Fu before their deals so that it could take effect and it was applicable only because of Jia Fu's intense desires towards the clan head position. After some deals Xun Shung now possess 1.7 million primeval stones.

A month passed and Xun Shung was thinking about improving his gu set. The gus he possesses now are above average tier if compared in total, they are really good if used individually but whenever gu masters battle occur, many things decides the outcome. Like total quantity of members, environment condition, hostages, protecting others and much more. Xun Shung will be going in the forest now, there will be hidden dangers like demonic masters, beasts and unfavorable situations. So he wants to be ready for anything to occur.

He will cultivate and use human path's gu worms but at this moment, his attainment in human dao is not even ordinary. So he have to use other gu worms to fight in battle, Hope gu could be used only for support. His first target was a healing type gu and illusion type gu worm.

Xun Shung: " Human dao is an unfathomable path, it's not like I will get any inheritance regarding this path. But there are many things in the Human dao's aspect that the other immortals often not recognise in the story. The human dao, comprises everything about human, so in essence it comprises of every path that is not naturally formed."

"If I follow this thought then all the man made daos or the daos that effects human operations directly will fall in the human path itself"

"There are many paths like space,time,law,qi etc that doesn't came into existence with the humans, they were here before us. But paths like wisdom, transformation, strength,blood etc are created by humans after comprehending the great dao/nature itself"

"So if Iam correct then to study Human dao, I need to have a basic understanding of these other paths as well, I have to get a clear understanding of different human aspects to research about this dao, it's hard and easy at the same time, Iam a human, there are humans everywhere, varient humans are also humans in essence. So it's easy to comprehend and research about the certain aspects of humans but due to its rarity and underdevelopment it will be hard to get my hands on something which could be directly related to human dao"

"Now, I have to study many types of daos to comprehend human dao itself."

After thinking about it for sometime, Xun Shung got a new idea about combining of a new gu worm, he flew to Jia Fu and bought some refinement materials with his help. After that he went to his room to test it out. He sat cross legged like usual, his concentration was on the processing of the materials.

Kunlun bull's horns, black snow Wolf's blood, jade tortoise's shell, chameleon grass, rank 2 small therapy gu, rank 2 crimson blood gu, rank 2 stream transformation gu and rank 2 revert blood gu. His plan was to refine a rank 3 healing type blood path gu. It was his enlightenment and inspiration after thinking about human dao. After pondering for half a day,he was worried about human path methods as it was mainly used for supporting. But after considering with his theory that human path comprises of all the paths that are man made, he thought about a new possibility.

He started to refine the gu, he set up a fire which was bright yellow in colour at the beginning but after puting all the materials except the blood path gu worms, it changed it's colour from yellow to grey. He didn't knew if it was going to succeed or not but he threw the blood path gu worms. First the fire changes to black, then to red and finally blue but the sphere that formed wasn't balanced and with a loud sound the refinement failed.

Xun Shung was refining a rank 3 gu, so the impact was strong enough to beat him down. He fall down and passed out from the sheer force of the destabilized ball.

After 3 hours of fainting, he finally woke up. His surrounding was a complete mess, his body was pale but his eyes were sparkling. After learning and practicing refinement for around 6 years he is able to absorb some of the force of a failed refinement and also with his experiences he get close to the correct recipe everytime he fails. Like this time, he now knew what went wrong.

Xun Shung 'the refinement equation was completely balanced from the start to almost till the end, for creating a stabilized sphere in which the materials could combine to form the complete gu I need something to absorb and contain its power. It will be a blood path gu after being completely formed, so eventually it will be a half human dao worm, I need to find something that could contain human path dao marks until it manages to combine completely.'

"Wait a minute, isn't it heaven dao that holds the human dao in itself all the time, it helps in cultivation and nurturing of human dao itself, wouldn't it be just like the refinement that Iam doing now, so I just need to find something which is made up of heavenly dao itself"

Just as he was thinking this, Xun Shung's mind was jolted by an invisible force, he seems to understand something, suddenly his lips move upwards to form a smile, he felt like something in his brain which was not there earlier is now present. He closed his eyes and started to feel this certain thing, it was real yet not there, it was like a illusion but even then feels real. It was his attainment, his human dao promoted to ordinary level. To some extent, he is now able to understand the concept behind the Human dao itself, everything feels like a giant river that flows to a certain direction and Xun Shung was like a bystander, to cross and move forward in this giant river he has to comprehend it's flow, it's diection, it's waves. If the feeling of getting the Hope gu was like arriving at the river's starting point, so the emotions he felt just now was like he knew the direction of this river.

His warm and gentle smile seemed to change abruptly and become wicked.

Xun Shung: "so that's how the sphere of life could be held. Hahahaha!!"
