26 Chapter 26: Hope gu

Xun Shung was sitting on his bed cross legged. All of his attention was on a whitish-yellow flower bud in front of him, it was the Hope Gu!. Xun Shung lightly activated the gu by transferring his primeval essence, a yellow spark flickers from the Hope gu and a flower bud started to bloom . After blooming completely, some white colour sparks flew from it.

The sparks were like strands of the flower petals, they flew towards Xun Shung and were completely absorbed by his body, after that a sweet and warm sensation shook his heart.He felt like everything will go smoothly and just like he planned in the future, his body became light weighted. Xun Shung stopped using the gu after some time.

Xun Shung : "it doesn't seem right, in Ren Zhu's adventure, the Hope gu was able to keep him alive many times, it is a legendary gu recorded in his legends itself, there should be some different use of hope gu,I need to find the answers"

Thinking so he made a plan. He took a knife and made a cut on his left arm, blood flowed immediately after. The cut was severe, Xun Shung wasn't able to just grit his teeth and took all the pain, he is not a cool reincarnated xinxia MC afterall.

Xun Shung started to shout upon himself, "shit, just for an experiment I made such a huge cut, excitement got me this time as well."

He hurriedly activated and applied Hope gu's white strands to the cut but to his shock nothing happened.

Xun Shung: "so this is the effect of Hope gu, but it's not clear even now, how could 'hope' help in amplifying, it doesn't make any sense"

Xun Shung prepared himself for another test, this time he used an attack type gu worm and combined the Hope gu's strands with it but there wasn't any effect. He then used it with therapy gu on a new injury but this time, Hope gu successfully amplified the healing effect. Xun Shung was more confuse now, about the powers of Hope gu.

Xun Shung: "if Hope gu could help me in only amplifying healing effect than its not worth that much space in the legends, something is not right here. Hope gu is doing something else, I need to know what exactly it is doing"

Xun Shung closed his eyes and start to concentrate on the time from before he refined Hope gu, there were many things that weren't clear even now, that why he got help from the nature itself, what's to special about this human path gu that even death qi couldn't engulf Xun Shung when he was falling. He focused on his feelings of that time, about Ren Zhu's adventure with the Hope gu. After pondering for some time he couldn't get any answers. But at this time, the Hope gu's white strands that were left in Xun Shung's body flew towards his mind and were absorbed there.

Suddenly, Xun Shung felt a warm breeze and then with a lightning speed he opened his eyes and stared towards the Hope gu,his mouth twitch for a second before changing into a big smile.

Xun Shung: "hahahha!!, now I get to know your true colours, you are worthy of being a legendary gu afterall, it's my shallowness that I couldn't get it right,but it's more interesting this way, hahahha!!"Saying so he brought the knife and made a cut on his hand again, but this time he used a normal medic-paste and spread it over his arm, then he activated the Hope gu.

The Hope didn't do anything but instead it flew towards his chest and vanished into thin air, but Xun Shung could feel it inside his body, he closed his eyes and tried to sense it's location. Inside his body, he saw a green little vine, with a whitish-yellow flower bud, the vine coiled itself to his heart, the flower bud was like a tattoo on the centre of Xun Shung's heart. He then focused his mind on treating his wound. The flower bloomed, white coloured strands flew from it and were transferred to the wound by Xun Shung, these white strands then combined with the medic-paste and the wound completely vanished, there was new skin where he made the cut.

After the healing completed, he went out of the house and ran towards his yard. There he flapped his wings and started flying,this time he activated the Hope gu, but the white strands didn't went to the bat wings gu, they went inside his mind and just after that Xun Shung was able to fly with ease, all his plans and inspirations were combining and forming new thoughts on flying, he felt like flying was the most natural thing to do. He wasn't able to fly high with changing directions simultaneously but now he could do it easily. He then activated his sneak attack gu and fired towards the clouds, a gap was opened through which he fly even higher. He then activated his other gu worms after some time as well. In his mind, he is getting new ideas about doing things, it's not like these thoughts weren't his, they were his to began with. But in past, his mind becomes fuzzy after thinking for some time about difficult things.

It was like he was in mud water, no matter how he wants or tries to get away, he just can't get out from it, he didn't knew that the ideas he had earlier could be applied like this. Now with the help of Hope gu, all his previous ideas regarding his usage of gu, attacking, flying and many other things are much more clear now. It's like his ideas can be applied in the real world.

Xun Shung: "it's the real usage of Hope gu, it's true value is in giving Hope to others, no matter how crazy the inspiration and situations are. It's ability are magical, now I understand how Ren Zhu was able to survive"

Hope gu's ability lies in it's name entirely, giving "unlimited Hope" to others, like wisdom gu give unlimited inspiration. Even when the human ancestor was on the verge of death, he felt like he can't die like this, so hope gu supported his surival instincts, Hope gu changed this certain instinct to an emotion, that Ren Zhu could survive for this moment.

The moments changed into minutes.Then into days, from days it changed to months and like this just a certain survival instinct transformed into an entirely new driving force that Ren Zhu must survive and thus Hope gu was able to save Ren Zhu from death's bed.

Xun Shung: "in the gu world where everything, even ethereal things are dao marks, a human's instincts and emotions are also in this category. Hope gu is a human dao gu worm, it gives unlimited Hope to the instincts, doesn't matter how small it is. In simple language it's just amplification but if one notices on the underlying method, Hope gu's work is to give that certain small instinct a passage to human's consciousness and after that Hope gu makes it revolve in its user's mind, body and soul. After constant revolving, the small instinct becomes larger and larger like a snow ball and after a certain time when this small instinct become a huge deriving force, Hope gu helps this huge ethereal deriving force to arrive in the real world in shape of dao marks and assist the the gu master, these ethereal forces are in the form of white strands"

"But even now, there are some uses that I couldn't unravel for now, some inspiration and attainment in the future could help me in this regard"

Thinking so, he continued his practice from earlier. With the help of Hope gu in his hands, Xun Shung has now chosen his path and that's Human dao, there are many advantages to it.

Even though it's one the most rarest and the most underdeveloped path, Xun Shung wants to follow his own true dao and that is trampling over heaven's will.

Human nature is something which opposes Heavenly laws. With the arrival of cultivation and human's greed towards more and more benefits only for themselves, we are certainly the most heaven defying creature in the existence. Xun Shung also knew the about the most advantageous thing about human dao and that is it doesn't conflict with other dao marks. It's not entirely like sovereign immortal body but human dao's method could be applied to any other path in the existence except dream path. Also, Fang Yuan will not become much proficient in this path till Fate war so there's little threat of becoming his food.

The road is decided now, Xun Shung also have the legendary Hope gu as a starting point to his journey in human dao. His gaze was heated, his whole body and mind was excited because now his true journey starts.
