The Time Investigators and Suspicions part I

S City. Di Family.

Two groups of elders in white and black magical robes with gold or silver sequins forming "Eye of Time" formations stitched magical using different elements of nature and time on it, were sitting on a circular stage surrounding a mirror at their center, that would constantly change form solid to liquid, then liquid to gaseous and vice versa.

The group of elders in white magical robes were sitting at the inner layer, nearest to the mirror, and were forming sign with their fingers in fast synchronized sequence, while some have their eyes close while a tiny beckon of light was quickly forming at the middle of their forehead. Those tiny beckons of light then formed into slits that would tremble from time to time. These group of elders were casting their abilities Time-Recapture and Time Hold and Fold.

The group of elders in black magical robes were sitting at the outer layer of the formation, and were constantly gathering Heaven and earth qi while converting it into time qi that they would provide in a sequence to the mirror at their center. There would occasionally be a crashing sound whenever different qi would gather together before being fully converted into time qi. These group elders have the Time Crasher abilities and were performing a massive and exquisite encantation while casting their ability.

These two groups of elders form the Time Investigators of their Di Family clan.

While this was going on, the other elders and various leader's of their main and branch clan were providing support and arranging precious stone on varying pillars at the corners of an odd-looking ink black stone.

The ink black stone was shaped in an odd way but had the smooth texture of a jade even with a twisted curves surrounding its surface, while floating up and down in a rhythm of a hearts beat.

This ink black stone is a mysterious "Time Stone" that only appeared thrice in the ancient times. It had the power time hence the name. It could also stimulate and help any Time cultivator in his or her endeavors regarding time, whether it was to search informations, research purpose, cultivation or even assists during battles.

It was a very powerful stone with mysterious origin. It was said it was naturally formed by heavenly daos, while some said, it came from the depths of the River of Time and was sent by the River of Time to assists its children. But no one had any proof to either; the only thing that was of certain is that the Time Stone has appeared thrice during different ancient era but had only acknowledged two known Time Sages.

These two Time Sages were Time Immortal Venerable Red Lotus and Time Demon Venerable Warmonger.

Time Immortal Venerable Red Lotus appeared after TimeDemon Venerable Warmonger, and has a cold personality but was a fierce Time Manipulator. She was a genius and was rumored to be a child of the River of Time but was proven otherwise because of the existence of the then established image of Time Demon Venerable Warmonger who had a fiery temper and unequal battling power.

Time Demon Venerable Warmonger wasn't the first child of the River of Time but was a survivor of a mass slaughter and persecutions of any possible children of the River of Time.

Because of his experience and having to survive the continuous vicious hunts of different "Righteous Factions" of his time, he had chosen the "Demonic path" and fight through gates of life and death that he himself lost count of how many times had it been. Then, he became known as a Time Demon.

After he became a Venerable, he was then titled as Time Demon Venerable Warmonger. He was a strong character that was revered by both sides, righteous and demonic. But because he was too powerful, he was a threat to others just by existing. And thus, many of them schemed and fought against him.

He survived each and every attempt until he was at his 9000 years old, and were he was attempting for fourth time his ascension to Reverend stage that was an existence never before seen during their time. It was well-known that for every attempt to ascend the Divine Tribulation that they had to face was on a grander scale, and every failed attempt means life or death, especially the higher the stage you want to transcend the more powerful and the more bizarre the Divine Tribulation you would have to face.

If one survived a failed attempt to ascend then they would to accumulate and prepared more than the prior. Of course, that would also mean they would have to stack up and consolidate more power within their body. But because their body hadn't transcended to another level or stage then its capacity to hold off the accumulated stack up powers would be limited. Eventually, the cultivator must do another attempt. And if he fails again, he would to restart the whole process.

Time Demon Venerable Warmonger attempted thrice before he 9000 years old. He didn't fail because he was overconfident but because we schemed at, interrupted and the likes, which made the fiery Time Demon Venerable Warmonger to seek every vengeance and grievances he had to injure.

At the age of 9000 years old Time Demon Venerable Warmonger's body was long past it's limits. He was long past his limits but was obstinately endured until he was once again fully prepared to ascend.

He knows that his fourth attempt might be his last, and there were still others hidden in the dark scheming against him, so he had secretly prepared something in case he failed again or die. He wouldn't allow any of those enemies of his to gain anything from him even if he die! There's no way he would allow that to happen!
