Dorm

He saw training dummies outside the vacant lot with a broomstick to clean the yard. It has an apple tree outside with it still bearing fruits. Making Xuan pick and bite one in the process.

Entering the vacant dorm, he was solitary and whispers of the wind blew as he pushed aside the sliding door. The dorm was dark and dust could be smelled from where he stood.

The candle was immediately lit with a match stick and then Xuan scanned the surroundings.

He has a bed fit for only one person and still has a curtain to cover things up. A simple drawer on the side and a study table paired with a chair. Still, it has quill and ink settled on its top.

He has a bathroom and a kitchen. Simple cooking utensils were already available and they would suffice for now.

The room was now lit and he could see the webs from the ceiling. Spiders were already catching insects from their webs. The walls were sturdy even though it had been ages since Xuan thought of its lifespan. The windows were still feasible and good-looking. With just a few brushes of a feather duster, it would look better.

The place he had, needed cleaning, or so he concluded that he would not sleep until he finished tidying things up. He lit more candles and placed them in all places. That would greatly help in spotting dust in several places.

He put on his apron first then masked his face with a cloth. He then started cleaning the window and then the walls with a feather duster. Also the web above.

He went sneezing for a bit but continued his work. After that, he swept the floor and wiped the floor with wet rags. Making his room better.

His bed was replaced with its cloth and then the pillows too.

After a while, it was all set. All he needed to do was rest and sleep.

But as he was about to sleep, he saw a door to the side adjacent to his bed. It was not noticeable at first as it has the same imagery as the walls. To his surprise, it was also a sliding door!

He immediately opened it and saw a wrack of weapons. Primarily some swords and maces.

To his surprise, there were weapon holders and armor holders too. An empty chest was also available with its keys already in Xuan's possession.

He immediately was astonished at what he saw but it didn't end there.

He also saw an enchanting table and an alchemy table. Quite luxurious even for a nearly run-down dorm like his. He could make potions and practice enchanting on his own from now on.

In his memories, there were many lost arts in enchanting and alchemy. To the point that such arts regress to being basics. The advanced ways of enchanting and alchemy were lost after the primordial wars.

But Xuan knew all of them. If he would think of it, he would need to rehabilitate the very foundations of those arts. Starting from scratch and slowly regaining its past glory.

As for the texts that were lost, Xuan has to rewrite them all to be passed down to future generations.

Xuan then went to look for more and saw another more spacious room. Opening the door, he saw a library of books. He was greatly astonished at the fact that it has its library!

He scanned the book titles and was curious as to what they could offer to his thirst for knowledge.

The first book that piqued his interest was Herbology written by the Herb Monarch. As his memories were not fooling around, he was the kid that he taught with his herbology. To think that he would become the herb monarch someday was also not within the bounds of Xuan's expectations.

The kid was just passionate about herbology and alchemy. And that made him what he was today. A proud teacher Xuan was and felt like crying.

However, as he read some more in the book, he bit his lower lips as he saw some mishaps and miscalculations in the brewing process of other recipes. He wanted to scold him for that.

He immediately went to read more books from different authors and saw that his knowledge was still not something below their own. He surmised that it was like reading it all for review purposes only.

As he craved knowledge, he planned to read them all and put the piles of books on the study table. From history, cultivation manuals. The history of four martial techniques and the disappearance of the primordials. Also the records of primordial wars and the legend of the Book of Law.

The history book that he read first was something only to take the record in the late third era. The primordial wars had already ended and humanity was scattered and remained weak. After the disappearance of the Primordials, the remaining clans made a city and it was later called Avernium City. Surviving waves of monsters and beasts year after year.

Next was the appearance of newfound martial techniques that were used nowadays. They have greater prowess compared to the ancient martial technique that no one knows how to use from now on.

Also, the legend of the Book of Law. It was given by the Gods to the mortals to be contested and most of the books of law were already in the position of the demon gods. Only the Book of Time was in Xuan's hands. And so the other 13 of them were on the Gods that were all his students.

Plus there was also the emergence of Hells from the depths of the Plane of existence that they resided in. He would have to kill the Demon gods that have the backings of Hell itself.

Xuan then closed the books and sat on his bed in a lotus position. Further cultivating his soul realm. He started cultivating and then he perspired blackened sweat. Impurities from his body and he became much purer and healthier than before.

He felt lighter and as a feather.

He immediately broke through in the second stage of the sky realm and the impurities were excreted successfully.

He would have a higher realm means that his body's lifespan was being extended. It was the purpose of cultivating one's soul realm and he didn't slack a bit. Having prolonged one's lifespan was very rewarding for him.

With him breaking through, he felt sleepy. But as he squinted his eyes, the moon was brighter than before. It was giving off a bright glow. Brighter than the moon itself.

"Nope, it's the sun! I am late!"
