13 Soul Willpower and Soul Attribute

"I'm late! I'm late!" Xuan then hastily ran and met with the other two.

The three were already waiting for him and Ella was fuming with anger. Her hands were folded and she was tapping her feet on the ground erratically.

"Why are you late? Huh? This is the first day of being a disciple and you are already showing your incompetence," She then snubbed him with a, "Hmmm!"

"Hey, trash! How dare you make the master wait! Imma beat that hell out of you!" Kent was about to kick him but his master spoke.

"Hahaha, just let it slide for now. Let us hurry up and be on our way," Eilon said then turned around.

Still after it, Kent smacked Xuan's head and then Xuan rubbed it after a bump was made.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry," Xuan bowed slightly after he was smacked.

Ella was still not content and she kicked Xuan's feet then went on her way. The three then proceeded towards the school grounds. They passed several places like a hot spring and it was in the forest in a separate path. Xuan was planning to visit it sometime in the future to relax.

They soon arrived and the school had more students that arrived. They were still going to be tested in cultivation potential and several briefings. As for the three, they would be further tested for other aspects.

"We will test you later on. Please enter the main testing halls first. I will personally handle your tests," He then coughed and opened the doors to the testing halls and then they saw many testing tools.

Xuan saw and recognized them all. If he had the testing tools in their home. He could test his siblings himself and give them the best cultivation manuals. It was a waste that he had not.

He entered the room and then the other two did the same.

"Wow, so this is the testing halls! So vast!" Ella said in awe.

Kent was still calm and was smiling. He wanted to look cool and so he was folding his hands, "Huh! Such a weakling. To be impressed by simple things?"

He then clicked his tongue. Ella was agitated and then kicked his feet.

"Ouch! What's that for?" he raised his voice.

"Suits you! Hmmm!" she pouted.

Xuan can only scratch his head and then laugh low.

"We will now begin the tests!" Master Eilon shouted.

"Yes master!" the three replied. They stood straight and then were in attention.

"We will first test your soul willpower. This test would determine how good you are in your soul willpower. The higher it was, the higher you could attack with soul attacks and how high your willpower was. Also, your soul form would be stronger if higher. Now let's begin the test!

"First is Kent!" Eilon shouted.

He went to the platform and then his master handed him a ball of crystal. He then grabbed it and then the ball lit up.

"Soul willpower! 40!" Eilon announced.

"Yes! Hahaha! See that thrash? I am 40!" Kent shouted at Xuan while pointing fingers.

"Next Ella!"

Ella then went to the platform and she grabbed the ball.

"Soul willpower! 70!"

"Yes!" she shouted.

"Congratulations Ella! It seems that you are gifted. Also Kent, not bad!" Xuan spoke then did a thumbs up.

"Next Xuan!" Eilon spoke.

He went to the platform and then grabbed the ball.

"This? Is this it?" His master was perplexed. His expression means a bad premonition.

"Soul willpower! 5!" Eilon said then coughed.

"5?" Xuan was shocked. It seemed that his body was trash in soul willpower. He was utterly shocked.

"I am so sorry Xuan," Eilon said to him.

"It's okay master," Xuan then scratched his chin.

Soon, Kent burst into laughter, "Hahaha! Serves you right! A trash branch family will always be trash!" Kent then was content with the outcome. Having Xuan have low scores made his day and relieved the disappointments he had.

Xuan then climbed down the platform and then was in thoughts. He could train his soul willpower in the next few days and it was a secret that he knew.

The soul willpower he has was not trained in the past thinking that he had enough points on it. To think that it was only five? He was amused by the thought of it.

He then planned his future training and he has to focus his training on his soul willpower for now. He could guess that he could raise it higher than the other two. It was not even a problem for Xuan.

Their master then spoke to call forth their attention, "Next test! Soul attribute! I will explain the purpose of this test. Soul attribute has varying colors: Starting from white, green, blue, purple, red, orange, to yellow. This is from the weakest to the strongest. The cultivation speed greatly relies on the color of the soul attribute and also on determining the cultivation method from cultivation manuals. Now let's start!" he then grabbed another crystal but it was spherical this time.

Ella was the first to be tested. She climbed the platform again and then touched the spherical crystal. She closed her eyes and then she saw it glow.

Opening her left eye, she saw it glowed in red.

"A red soul attribute! A genius!" Eilon shouted.

She then smirked and then closed her eyes. Having been called a genius was like music in her ears.

"I am the best! See that Xuan?" she then laughed vigorously.

Next was Kent, he was hasty for his turn and wanted to prove that he was better than Xuan. Not wanting to be bested at anything in the test.

He immediately touched the crystal and then it glowed.

"Purple! A purple soul attribute!" Eilon announced.

"Haha! See that? I am a genius!" Kent shouted with a proud look. His eyes closed with hands on his forehead. Slightly bowing his head.

Xuan's turn has come and he was nervous. He then went to the platform and then touched the crystal.

It then glowed in white.

"Haha! White! You are indeed trash!" Kent shouted, "You will be set as trash for life!"

Xuan then was shocked. To be a white soul attribute was not on the bounds of his expectation. It was indeed a problem.

Their master was scratching his chin.

"Hmmm, Xuan don't be disappointed. You can continue your cultivation even with your soul attribute. Don't be discouraged," he said to him then patted his shoulders.

For Xuan, it was a problem as you can't improve your soul attribute as it was set for life. Though Xuan knew some ways that would help. Even a white soul attribute can have its value in many ways. One was its versatility. Even though it is not the fastest, it has a versatile and all-around distribution of essence.

Xuan also knew a cultivation manual that was fitting for the white soul attribute. It was called an All-rounder versatile technique manual that Xuan discovered in the ruins of the late Emperor Klein. Xuan could also learn other martial paths albeit at a slow pace with the white soul attribute.
