11. Why, Revan?

The clock shows 11.00 AM, Davina is still pacing in the living room waiting for Revan to arrive who still hasn't come home from work. This is the first time Revan comes home late, usually, Revan doesn't come home this late as long as Mama Alina is at his house.

Davina started to get nervous because Revan also didn't tell me where and how he was now. Even though Alina had ordered Revan to inform Davina, Revan completely ignored the message from his mother.

"Where's Revan? Why didn't he reply to my messages?" Davina muttered as she continued to stare at her phone screen.

Until a few moments later, the entrance of the mansion was wide open. Revan just got home and it made Davina breathe a sigh of relief. A sweet smile immediately spread to the corners of the woman's beautiful lips.

Davina immediately walked over to her husband, then grabbed Revan's briefcase.

"Why haven't you slept yet?" asked Revan without a straight look and didn't seem to care about Davina.

"I was waiting for you," Davina answered simply.

Revan just sighed and loosened his tie.

"Why didn't you answer my message? You didn't pick up my phone either," continued Davina.

"From now on you don't have to wait for me to come home," said Revan firmly.

Davina who heard Revan's words was a little surprised and didn't expect it at all.

"Why?" Davina asked nervously.

"There's no reason. Instead of wasting your time, you'd better go to bed early so you don't get sick which can then trouble me," replied Revan who sounded more like ignoring Davina. Not paying attention to Davina.

Of course, Revan ignored Davina, because for Revan his wife was only a tool to destroy his Papa's family business. If he is too good to Davina, then he is giving Davina false hope.

Nonchalantly, Revan walked away to his room and left Davina who was still standing in the living room holding her briefcase. Revan was completely different from before, his attitude towards Davina instantly turned cold and indifferent.

While Davina who knew this could only be silent and looked at Revan without being able to say anything. Now her hope to try to love Revan is thinning because Revan's attitude suddenly changes for no apparent reason.

"What's wrong with Revan? Why is he so cold to me? did I do something wrong? Does he know I met Dilan at the supermarket?" Davina thought with a feeling that was already crazy.

Davina sighed and tried to keep a smile. A few moments later, he went to the room following Revan who had gone to their room first.

Davina slowly opened the door to her room and entered. She put Revan's briefcase in its place, then made the bed. The sound of running water from the bathroom is still audible. It looks like Revan hasn't finished bathing yet.

For a while Davina waited while sitting on the edge of the bed, Revan came out of the bathroom while rubbing his hair which was still wet using a small towel. Seeing that Davina just kept quiet and smiled a faint smile.

"I'll sleep in my work room. I still have work to do. You go to sleep first," Revan said and walked out of his room.

Hearing this, Davina could only nod and remained silent. The beautiful woman couldn't fake a smile anymore. Now she felt something tightly in her heart. Wasn't Revan very concerned about her before? Why has he changed now? Maybe that's the question that's on Davina's mind right now.

Davina knows that Revan's attitude can be said to be like a husband's concern for his wife, but this time Davina realized that Revan's attention was only fake attention solely to convince his mother that Revan was serious about marrying Davina.

No matter how hard Davina tries to accept this, she still can't deny her feelings because she feels that she means nothing to Revan. She doesn't even know what the real purpose of Revan is to marry her.

If you think about it further, maybe Revan can marry Uncle Davina's biological daughter instead of marrying Davina whose status is only a niece. From the beginning, Davina had suspicions about Revan about the reason he insisted on marrying her.

But because of Revan's initially affectionate attitude, Davina tries to think more positively and convinces her heart that Revan married her because he likes her.

Now that feeling of confidence slowly disappeared because Revan's attitude changed in an instant. The beautiful woman began to think far away and things were not good in her mind.

Davina lay down on the bed. She comforted herself and then adjusted the blanket.

"If he knew I met Dilan, shouldn't he have scolded me directly? Why did he turn cold like this? And... What exactly did Revan mean, who previously paid attention to me? Why is he playing with my feelings?".Davina's monologue while staring at the ceiling of her room.

The next morning, Davina prepares breakfast for Revan. She cooked some of Revan's favorite food, hoping that Revan's mood would improve and she wouldn't be as cold to her as last night.

Regardless of Revan's attitude to Davina, Davina will always be patient with Revan's attitude and always try to be a good wife to him. Although it seems Revan doesn't care about Davina at all.

After finishing preparing breakfast on the dining table, Davina saw Revan who came down from upstairs while adjusting his tie. Davina smiled faintly at Revan who wore a flat face when he saw her.

"I'll prepare your plate," said Davina.

Davina's hand reached out to prepare the plate and was ready to spoon the rice.

"No need, I have a meeting in the morning. I'll just eat at the office," said Revan quickly.

Davina immediately let go of the rice ladle in her hand and intended to take Revan's briefcase which he had prepared on the table. But Revan first grabbed his bag and immediately left Davina just like that, without even saying goodbye.

"Why are you doing this to me?!" Davina shouted when Revan was almost out of his house.

Revan who heard Davina's loud voice immediately looked back to see his wife standing behind him.

"What do you mean?" asked Revan.

"Why are you being cold to me? Did I do you wrong?" Davina asked her husband.

Seeing that Revan sighed for a moment.

"Why do you think I'm being cold to you? What was I like to you before?" asked Revan again.

"You are good to me. You are also considerate of me, you don't even say hurtful words like last night..." Davina answered while sobbing.

Revan went back into Davina.

"Why are you crying? Don't cry," said Revan.

"I'm quite happy because you were kind enough to marry me and give me attention. I've never felt this happy before. Even when I was with Dilan," said Davina.

The beautiful woman wiped away the tears that had trickled down her smooth cheeks. For some reason, Revan couldn't bear to see Davina's condition like that.

"Never mind, I don't have time to do ham like this in the morning. Calm yourself and don't think bad things about me,"

Davina raised her head to look at Revan with a sad look. Revan also wiped the traces of Davina's tears gently.

"I'm sorry..." said Revan.
