Living Nightmare Part Three

I don't know how long I stay there curled up in a ball crying but it feels like eternity. "So he finally died?" Ryder ask from the door. I slowly sit up staring at him with empty eyes. "You could have saved him but you chose to be selfish.. but that's okay... I'm selfish as well. Now I have you all to myself.."

I laugh but it's broken "All to yourself? I will die as well and then I'll be able to see Fig again." I lean back against the bed and close my tired eyes but his dark laughter has me frowning as I look back to him. He lifts his hand and I watch the entire room light up with runes. My frown grows with my confusion as he says "I had this room made especially for you and your unique condition."

"You see, these runes I've placed in here will keep your soul from leaving this room. Keeping you in between life and death. It's perfect you see.." He says with pride and I feel my cold numbness slowly giving way to a burning rage. "You're telling me this was in place the whole time? You could have activated this and saved Fig??" I ask coming to my feet.

He gives me an evil smile and says "Where's the fun in that? I want you to rule by my side.. not you and your sidekick. It was only a matter of time before he kicked the bucket and I was just waiting him out. I think you're under the impression that I care.. I don't my dear. I don't even care about you, not really. I just want you in my bed and by my side because you are someone Rune loves."

My world spins and I feel myself growing hot. He could have saved Fig.. hell.. even if he hadn't he was now keeping me trapped here... so that I can never leave.. never dying or truly living.. "Hah.. hahaha... I really despise you.. I loath you.. but more than anything.. I feel sorry for you." Ryder looks at me with confusion as the heat in me continues to rise.

"Little one.. if you do this.. you will be killing yourself..." I hear Nexus say in my head as the heat continues to grow. "Yes.. and it's okay. I will die anyway so I will kill him as well.." I here Nexus sigh and say "Very well little one.. I will lend you a bit of my power. You don't have much time left so make it count." I smile and say my thanks.

Ryder sees the smile and frowns. I begin reaching for all the creatures around us pulling at their lifeforces. I hear their crys of agony as I begin devouring them one by one. I turn my now glowing, silver eyes to Ryder and see him flinch. He trys to step back but it's too late. The runes on the walls were now shifting and changing to my will and he could no longer leave.

I feel as he tries to attack with his dark power but I easily block it causing the blast to knock Ryder back several feet. I feel my hair lifting up as it flows around me as I continue devouring all the creatures and their powers. My white dress dances around me as I say "You are a vile person Ryder.. someone who shouldn't exist... and I will make sure you no longer will."

The heat was becoming too much but I knew I couldn't stop.. I kept pulling more and more to me and watched as Ryder faught against the pull. Right as I felt that I had killed all the creatures I opened my arms and watched in wonder as all the runes began to leave to walls and circle Ryder.

He fought against the moving runes but no matter what he did they continued to shrink in closer and closer locking him in place. He snarled and lashed out looking more like a demonic creature than a fae. "If we do have reincarnation... I hope you can come back as someone worth saving. Instead of letting hate consume you and ultimatly controlling you. I wish you luck... in your next life"

I lift my arms out in front of me and envision a large bow and arrow. I watch as a glowing bow and arrow begin to form from the magic seeping out of me and I give a small, sad smile. Any other time and this would be something I would be flipping out over but now? Sigh.. I lift the bow and place in the arrow, lining up the shot as Ryder snarls at me again.

I then begin pouring all of the energy into the arrow and fight against the waves of exhaustion. I will finish this.. no matter what happens in the end.. I don't want Ryder hurting anyone else. As I pour the last of my power into the arrow I look at Ryder one last time and I finally see fear in his eyes... good. I release the arrow and when it hits him everything explodes in a white blinding light.
